Welcome to the Club, Kyle: Rittenhouse Joins Pantheon of Young Men the Left Tried to Destroy

It’s a club no one asks to join, and the price of admission is unfathomable duress followed by a lifetime of watching your back.

I’m not talking about merely having the Twitter mob come down on you and maybe even losing your college admission or job, as horrible as that is. I’m talking about the incomprehensible weight of knowing millions of people who have never met you hate you and are howling for your head. The pain of being defamed. The emotional and financial strain on your loved ones. The horror of being railroaded for something you didn’t do. Suffocating uncertainty about whether you even have a future.

Teachers’ union in Canada introduces ‘weighted voting’ for minority members

In the name of promoting racial equity in that hotbed of racism known as Canada, a labor union representing 60,000 teachers and other educational employees there has restructured its voting system to weight the votes of minority members at the expense of others, in order to ensure a particular outcome in voting on the claim of racial equity.

Hunter Biden’s firm helped China gain control of electric-car mineral: report

Degenerate Biden family.

Hunter Biden’s investment firm helped broker a 2016 deal that gave a Chinese state-backed company control of a massive African mine rich in cobalt — a mineral essential for the production of electric car batteries.

The deal, first reported by the Washington Free Beacon during the 2020 presidential campaign, was spotlighted by the New York Times Saturday as Congress inches closer to approving President Biden’s $2 trillion social spending plan, which earmarks billions of dollars to promote electric vehicles.

‘Changes’ for San Francisco after ‘horrible’ night of looting

San Francisco’s mayor and police chief have promised “changes” after a night of massive looting, a crime becoming more and more common in the city, and one that’s driving businesses away.

Numerous stores, including Louis Vuitton and Bloomingdale’s, were hit on Friday night as part of a massive looting spree hitting businesses in the California city’s Union Square.

In a Saturday press conference addressing the attack on businesses, Mayor London Breed promised “changes” to the area that will limit car access after the “horrible” night of crime. Police Chief Bill Scott similarly pointed to infrastructure changes as a measure that will prevent future mass robberies.

Conrad Black: The ghastly charade in Glasgow and the West’s self-flagellation over the climate

Last week in this space, as the Glasgow climate change conference (COP26) was wrapping up, I pointed out once again what a colossal scam most of the climate fear campaign is. A 1 C increase in very approximately estimated world temperature in 120 years does not remotely justify the widespread hysteria on this subject in Western Europe and North America. Countless predictions of imminent climate disaster over the last 50 years have proved to be utter piffle. Yet the frenzy does not abate. Organized groups of schoolchildren march about accusing the world’s adults of inflicting ecological strangulation upon them. (We should bring back corporal punishment before we shut down the oil industry.) The Glasgow conference ended in a more ghastly charade than even I had imagined.

Police: `Some fatalities’ when SUV hits Wisconsin Christmas parade

WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — The police chief in Waukesha, Wisconsin, says there were “some fatalities” when an SUV sped into Christmas parade.

Chief Dan Thompson said more than 20 people were injured Sunday. Thompson said he doesn’t have an exact number of fatalities. He said a “person of interest” is in custody.

A live video feed of the parade from the city of Waukesha, as well as videos taken by parade attendees, showed a red SUV breaking through barriers and speeding into the roadway where the parade was taking place.

Violence breaks out at Brussels anti-vaccine protest in Europe’s latest day of rage: Fury over rules banning unjabbed from bars sparks clashes hours after Germany revealed COMPULSORY vaccinations are ‘unavoidable’

Europe descended into a third day of violent carnage on Sunday as tens of thousands of people in Belgium took to the streets to protest against the return of strict lockdown rules aimed at curbing a rise in Covid infections.

Nearly 40,000 people descended on the capital Brussels to protest against new anti-Covid measures banning the unvaccinated from entering restaurants and bars.

Some protesters were seen throwing projectiles at riot police and in response, officers fired water cannon and tear gas at the group. Police have made some arrests, but it is not immediately clear how many.

Kyle Rittenhouse and the hysteria of the elites

Under extraordinary pressure, the jurors showed us the quiet wisdom of the people.

America’s liberal elites are broken. They are now totally deranged and detached from reality. That’s become brutally clear in the past 24 hours. While we all knew it was coming, the collective media and political meltdown over the acquittal of 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse has revealed a ruling class so warped, so unprincipled, so governed by partisan prejudice, that it essentially lives in a parallel universe.

Police: Deliveryman shoots, kills armed suspect trying to rob him in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Two armed suspects picked the wrong deliveryman to rob Saturday in Philadelphia’s Mayfair section.

Police say the victim was leaving his home after dropping off a delivery to his family after midnight on the 3200 block of Longshore Avenue.

That’s when three suspects attempted to rob him, officials say.

Police say the armed men approached the victim and demanded money.

The victim then reportedly told the suspects the money was in his car.

Canada urged to put more weight behind Ukraine NATO bid as Russian buildup continues

As senior U.S. officials become increasingly concerned that Russia is not bluffing, the former president of Ukraine is urging Canada to become more actively involved in his country’s bid for NATO membership.

Petro Poroshenko, in an interview with CBC News, said the ongoing buildup of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine lends a fresh urgency to the 13-year-old effort to become part of the Western military and security alliance.

He’s urging member countries to offer a pathway to full NATO membership at the next leaders’ summit in Madrid, and he believes Canada, as an original sponsor of Ukraine’s ambitions, has an important role to play.

It didn’t start with Kyle Rittenhouse, nor will it end in Kenosha

Finally, after three agonizing weeks, the verdict is in, on a trial and a televised courtroom drama that had the nation riveted, though in a sense, it is the nation that’s still on trial.

Will there be more bloodshed?

Going back to last summer, the mobs who came to punish Kenosha, Wisc. after a police shooting, knew they were in the right place at the right time to get a green light for bedlam.

From earlier riots in Minneapolis, Portland, Kansas City and Seattle, they learned that guilt-ridden, or terrified, or simply yellow governors and mayors would make no moves to stop them, until plenty of damage had been done, or until the point was made, mission accomplished – whiteness is the root of all evil.
