Will the European Union and the Biden administration at least condemn the Iranian regime and stop the West’s appeasement policies with the ruling mullahs?

In Iran, the regime urged people to vote, most likely to show that it enjoys legitimacy; however, what it faced was widespread voter apathy and a record low voter turnout. Many people boycotted the elections and protesters called on US President Joe Biden to stop trying to return to the nuclear deal. Anahita, an Iranian teacher from Tehran, told Gatestone, “I did not go to vote. Like many people, I did not have a candidate. So, why should I vote? The mullahs had a candidate: Raisi”.

The Speaker’s office says the Speaker’s legal counsel has advised the attorney general that Rota — who is named as the respondent on behalf of the House of Commons in the Liberal government’s court application — will challenge the court’s jurisdiction on the basis of parliamentary privilege, unless the government drops its application to block the disclosure of the documents.

Toronto-area priest resigns after backlash from sermon on ‘good done’ in residential schools

A priest who referred to the “good done” by the Roman Catholic Church in residential schools has resigned from his role as pastor, the Archdiocese of Toronto confirmed on Friday.

During a sermon last Sunday, Monsignor Owen Keenan, the pastor of the Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga, west of Toronto, talked about the the remains of an estimated 215 children discovered at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, B.C. run by the church.

An individually orchestrated avoidance of dealings with the perpetually offended in all situations possible will be the result of these struggle sessions.

Ontario is reporting more than 300 new COVID-19 cases and 13 more deaths on Saturday.

Provincial health officials logged 346 new coronavirus infections today, up from 256 cases on Friday but down from 355 cases reported last Saturday.

I received an email this week informing me that rather than Pfizer (my first dose) I will be getting jabbed with Moderna.

The news of the Indian variant’s ability to get past the jabs is concerning.

I suspect we will see round three of the inoculations come fall.

Symptoms are said to be less severe for the inoculated who still become infected.

Somali knifeman who killed three people at random while yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ in German terror attack ‘came to Europe as a refugee in 2015’

Three people were killed in an attack in Germany on Friday by a Somali immigrant, who officials said was placed under compulsory psychiatric treatment days earlier.

The suspect was identified as a 24-year-old Somali immigrant, who was shot in the leg by police and arrested after the Friday afternoon attack in Wurzburg, Germany. Police said his life was not in danger and he was being questioned in hospital.

The knifeman killed at least three people and wounded at least five others in the street rampage at Barbarossaplatz in Wurzburg’s downtown area, according to local media reports.

Catholic Oblates Pledge to Publish Residential School Records in BC and Sask

The Catholic religious order that operated residential schools in Saskatchewan and British Columbia, where hundreds of nameless graves have been found, says it will reveal all the historical documents in its possession.

The Missionary of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate operated 48 schools, including the Marieval Indian Residential School at Cowessess First Nation in Saskatchewan and the Kamloops Indian Residential School in BC.

“We deeply regret our involvement in residential schools and the damage they have caused to indigenous peoples and communities,” said a statement.
