In an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures,” Pompeo said “every piece of evidence that we saw throughout the entire time suggested that this originated in the laboratory, at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

The question of whether Canada should create COVID-19 vaccine passports was answered by Health Minister Patty Hadju this week when she confirmed that the federal government will create such a system to allow Canadians to travel internationally again.
Now is the time to consider who in Canada will provide such passports and how they should be designed and deployed.

The Animal Sentience Bill in last week’s Queen’s Speech established an Animal Sentience Commission to ensure that all government departments ensure that their future measures and policies do not have ‘an adverse effect on animal welfare as sentient beings’.

You might be forgiven for thinking that rockets launched on Israel from Gaza and Jewish state retaliating against Hamas is just business as usual in the country. Another chapter in the hopeless Palestinian struggle for statehood.
The reality is a bit more complex.
You see, everybody knows that Hamas can’t really hurt Israel and that any form of armed struggle by the Palestinians is destined to fail. There is simply no way for them not only to defeat the Israeli army but to even make a dent in the territories it controls or to force Israel to make any concessions. Iron Dome intercepts most rockets and those which do make it over kill maybe a handful of individuals. In fact, more people died in Gaza due to Hamas rockets falling short of their targets, than in Israel.
Violence, however, does have its uses.

The pastor spoke with Newsmax highlighting how the Calgary Police have been incessantly targeting him, though he doesn’t seem ready to relent any time soon. While speaking with Rob Schmitt, he likened what he has gone through to the plight of Hong Kong protesters.

EudraVigilance is a system designed for collecting reports of suspected side effects. These reports are used for evaluating the benefits and risks of medicines during their development and monitoring their safety following their authorisation in the European Economic Area (EEA). EudraVigilance has been in use since December 2001.

Video footage shows pro-Palestinian activists beating pro-Israel counter-demonstrators during a protest in Toronto on Saturday afternoon.
Five years after assisted dying was legalized in Canada, lawmakers are preparing to review the system that has permitted thousands of Canadians to choose the time and place of their deaths.
When builders created Halifax’s distinctive Hydrostone neighbourhood more than a century ago, they chose to honour celebrated explorers. There are streets named after William Grant Stairs, Christopher Columbus, John Cabot and Henry Morton Stanley, among others.
But now some residents are taking a closer look at the legacies of the men the streets are named for, part of a national trend examining whether people honoured on the country’s maps are worthy of celebration.
President Joe Biden entered office poised to oversee a record recovery and a return to the booming economy and all-round stability of pre-pandemic life. Instead, he’s turned out to be a master of disaster, with self-inflicted crises across the board threatening to set America back to the 1970s — with that era’s infamous “stagflation” as well as a foreign policy in flames.
It’s uncomfortable to say that you don’t like someone you’ve never met. But I’m going to reject the normal rules of civility and tell you how I really feel about Dr. Anthony Fauci: I flat out don’t like him!
Keeping Up Appearances has been given a viewer discretion warning for its release on the streaming service BritBox.
The family sitcom – which starred Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth and Clive Swift as her husband Richard – featured several jokes that have fallen foul of modern-day channel bosses.
It comes after another light-hearted comedy, The Good Life was also given a viewer disclaimer for offensive racial imagery, after featuring a historic logo that has since been banned.
The article “Origin of COVID – Following the Clues” by Nicholas Wade is a comprehensive investigation into the COVID19 pandemic. Wade is a science journalist who has written articles for the big publishers. His Origin of COVID article is a clear-eyed analysis of what we do and don’t know. He tells us the details that lead a reasonable reader to conclude that the Wuhan Virology Institute created the COVID19 virus and through sloppy techniques released the virus. The disease spread rapidly, killing millions and attacking elderly populations in particular.
Remember during the pandemic when we occasionally wondered where the supplies that the federal and state government was supposed to have stockpiled for emergencies like this were, and it turned out Obama and Democrat governors had emptied them out?
Vladimir Nabokov claimed that his inspiration for Lolita came from a newspaper story. It was late in 1939, or 1940, when he opened up his paper and came across an account of an ape in the Jardin des Plantes. This ape, after months of coaxing and teasing by scientists, produced the first ever charcoals drawn by an animal.
The sketch showed the bars of the poor creature’s cage.

On Saturday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and other members of her “Squad” endorsed the claim that Israel is an “apartheid state” and therefore is not a democracy. An Arab-Israeli activist who served in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) defended his homeland from her slanderous claim. Many Americans on the Left have taken the Palestinian side in the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict, due in part to this argument.

In the past two weeks two global superpowers have had to face an unsettling reality – census results in the US and in China indicate that both countries are likely to start shrinking in population much sooner than they thought.
That’s because fertility rates are falling fast. As that happens, the population gets older, which can stand in the way of economic growth. It’s something governments are usually keen to avoid.
China and the US are not at that point yet. But they could learn from other countries that are already thinking about how to boost fertility.

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we cannot ignore the warning signs for future catastrophes.
In North Carolina, where I live, only about one-third of gas stations are currently reporting that they have any gas, and that’s after some improvement in availability. A ransomware attack shut down a key pipeline supplying these stations, an event that could, but likely won’t, serve as a wake-up call, before we experience a true catastrophe.
Prior to the pandemic, I wrote a lot about digital security, or the lack thereof. I once compared our security status quo to “building skyscraper favelas in code—in earthquake zones.” Not much has changed since then, but we are starting to hear more rumbles.
