‘A bit like royalty’: Prince Harry mocked for condemning ‘attack on democracy’ in US Capitol

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, found himself mocked on Twitter after he condemned social media companies for allowing the organization of the Trump supporters who stormed the US Capitol.

“There is no way to downplay this. There was a literal attack on democracy in the United States, organized on social media, which is an issue of violent extremism,” Harry said in an interview with Fast Company on Friday, referencing the January 6 storming of the Capitol, adding, “It’s hard for me to understand how the platforms themselves can eagerly take profit but shun responsibility.”

“This Is a Warning to Christians in All Parts of the World”: The Persecution of Christians, December 2020

“This Is a Warning to Christians in All Parts of the World”: The Persecution of Christians, December 2020

The following are among the abuses inflicted on Christians by Muslims throughout the month of December, 2020:

The Slaughter of Christians

Nigeria: In a video that appeared on Dec. 29, Islamic terrorists executed five Christians. The footage shows five armed members of the Islamic State (West African province) standing behind five men dressed in orange suits, and on their knees with their arms tied behind their backs. The terrorists order each of the men to say their names and the hostages oblige, each adding, “I am a Christian.” One of the terrorists then says “This is a warning to Christians in all parts of the world and those in Nigeria…. Use the heads of these five of your brethren to continue with your ungodly celebrations,” a reference to Christmas. The five Muslims then open fire into the back of the Christians’ heads and kill them.

Douglas Murray: The Left can’t stop fawning over Joe Biden but I fear this won’t end well for America… or Britain

Douglas Murray: The Left can’t stop fawning over Joe Biden but I fear this won’t end well for America… or Britain

Any friend of America must wish Joe Biden well in his efforts to unite his country. But an honest friend must also admit that he starts his presidency in a truly feeble position.

Never mind that the US economy has in the past year been wrecked by the Covid pandemic, that unemployment has soared and that homelessness on a developing world scale is now visible in many American cities. There is also a simple question of competence.

On the day of the inauguration, former president Barack Obama tweeted a photo of himself and his former vice-president with the message: ‘Congratulations to my friend, President Joe Biden! This is your time.’

From the people ‘smarter’ than us… “We thought China could become more democratic. Instead, it is becoming totalitarian”

McCuaig-Johnston: We thought China could become more democratic. Instead, it is becoming totalitarian

China’s regime is often called authoritarian. It certainly has been that under Xi Jinping. But its recent programs of surveillance and repression show the characteristics of a totalitarian state, with technologies of which Hitler and Mussolini could only dream.

This is shocking given the expectation that decades of economic reform would bring liberalization and some democratic attributes. But Xi has turned his ship of state around. In the Economist’s 2019 Democracy Index, China’s regression resulted in a fall of 23 places in the ranking in one year. It is now near the bottom, below Iran, at 153 out of 167 countries.

Gee what a surprise! Canada’s China class is still selling this bullshit. Just like they push nation destroying mass immigration. They’ll do anything for their 30 pieces of silver.

Biden Rescinds Trump Order Banning Chinese Communist Involvement In US Power Grid

President Biden has revoked a Trump-era executive order that sought to keep foreign countries and companies out of America’s bulk power systems – principally entities associated with the Chinese Communist Party – as part of his “Executive Order on Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis.”

‘No borders! No nations! Abolish deportations!’ Violent Antifa anti-ICE protests continue in Portland after Biden inauguration

Protests outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland turned ugly on Saturday night as federal authorities threatened mass arrests for trespassing.

Dramatic videos posted on Twitter showed the crowd chanting: ‘No borders! No nations! Abolish deportations!’

Officers with the Federal Protective Service, a branch within the Department of Homeland Security, declared an unlawful assembly at about 10pm and ordered protesters to disperse.

Amazon Trying to Block Voting by Mail in Unionization Election

Amazon is seeking to block mail-in votes in an upcoming unionization vote.

Workers at a warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama, are scheduled to vote soon on whether to unionize, with ballots being sent out on Feb. 8. The National Labor Relations Board said earlier this month that the vote would take place entirely by mail because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“A mail ballot election will enfranchise employees who cannot enter the voting location for health reasons or due to positive COVID tests,” the board said in its ruling. “In addition, a mail ballot election will protect the health and safety of voters, Agency personnel, the parties’ representatives, and the public during the current health crisis.”

“If They Won’t Hear Us, They Will Fear Us”: How The Capitol Assault Was Planned On Facebook

Right-wing extremists used Facebook to make calls to overthrow the government and storm the US Capitol in the period leading up to a violent insurrection on Jan. 6, a tech watchdog group has found, contradicting attempts by the social media company to downplay the role of its platform in the affair.

new report from Tech Transparency Project (TTP) shared with BuzzFeed News uncovered a slew of specific threats made in pro–President Donald Trump and militant groups on Facebook both before and after President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory in November. In those groups, organizers and members alike perpetuated the lie that the election results were fraudulent and made open calls to “Occupy Congress” on Jan. 6.

But Parler got whacked.

Islamic State tries to shore up relevance with Iraq carnage

Islamic State tries to shore up relevance with Iraq carnage

The Islamic State group (IS) has not gone away. The twin suicide bombing in Baghdad on Thursday was a hideous reminder that the group which once controlled a vast swathe of territory across Syria and Iraq is still capable of mounting high casualty attacks in the heart of a city.

In this case its target was the Shia community, whom Sunni jihadists refer to dismissively as rafidain – rejectionists.

“Suicide bombings in major cities have always been a major part of IS strategy of creating sectarian tension and provoking retribution against Sunni populations,” says Peter Neumann, professor of security studies at King’s College London.

ANDERSON: If Ottawa Won’t Sanction the US, Alberta Must Sanction Ottawa

ANDERSON: If Ottawa Won’t Sanction the US, Alberta Must Sanction Ottawa

Within hours of taking office, newly elected US President Joseph R. Biden Jr. withdrew the US federal permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, effectively killing the project on the spot.

Biden is of course, likely clueless as to the facts surrounding Keystone. He likely has no idea, nor does he care about the tens of thousands of jobs he just terminated, the financial opportunities for indigenous groups he just destroyed, and the children he just introduced to welfare.

Whitlock: I stand by my comparison of BLM to the KKK — no matter who might object

Whitlock: I stand by my comparison of BLM to the KKK — no matter who might object

Wednesday evening, during an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program, I analogized Black Lives Matter to the Ku Klux Klan.

It’s a provocative and jarring analogy. It’s a comparison I truly believe.

Friday morning, a reporter from my hometown paper, the Indianapolis Star, contacted me asking for clarification of my analogy. I told the reporter that I would respond in writing via email because I felt it was the best way to ensure that I thoughtfully addressed the inquiry.

Inside Alberta’s very bad week: A behind-the-scenes look at the killing of Keystone XL

EDMONTON/CALGARY – The Alberta government’s trade office in Washington, D.C. called home last week with grim tidings: Rumours were circulating the U.S. capital that President Joe Biden was planning to scrap the Keystone XL pipeline on his first day in office.

It set off a wave of alarm. The Alberta government worked through the weekend to prepare its response strategy and a flurry of phone calls were placed between Ottawa, representatives in Washington and to the TC Energy headquarters in Calgary. On Sunday, news outlets reported on a Biden team transition memo that said the death of Keystone XL was coming.

The fix was in. KXL’s cancellation fits the LPC agenda perfectly. Impoverish Canadians and call it building a “sustainable green economy.”

Tse Chi Lop: Chinese drug lord with Canadian passport of convenience arrested in Amsterdam

Dutch police arrest Chinese-born Canadian national who allegedly runs multibillion-dollar drug syndicate

Dutch police said on Saturday they had arrested the alleged leader of a multibillion-dollar drug syndicate who is listed as one of the world’s most-wanted fugitives and has been compared to Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman.

Tse Chi Lop, a Chinese-born Canadian national, was detained on Friday at the request of Australian police, who led an investigation that found his organization dominates the $70 billion-a-year Asia-Pacific drug trade, Dutch police spokesperson Thomas Aling said.

Tse is expected to be extradited after appearing before a judge, Aling said, adding that his arrest by national police took place without incident at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.

I love how CBC describes him as a “Canadian national.” Like so many others his passport was likely purchased under a government investment scam making us complicit in his criminal activities.
