Chief of defence staff in full retreat

OTTAWA—The latest media crap storm to hit the Canadian Armed Forces is clearly the responsibility of the very senior leadership tasked with steering Canada’s military institution away from such pitfalls.

It started with a startling headline in the Oct. 31 edition of The Ottawa Citizen: “Canadian military wants mobilization plan in place to boost reserves to 400,000 personnel.”

A day that shall live in infamy … well it will certainly be remembered as a shitty one

Toronto City Hall raises Palestinian flag, joining other cities across Canada

TORONTO – The mood was celebratory on the rooftop of Toronto City Hall on Monday morning, as dozens gathered in the brisk weather to watch the Palestinian flag fly over the building for the first time.

Stupid and disgusting.

America’s Crime Divide Is Racial, Regional, and Ruthless – The whitest states sleep soundly. The ‘diverse’ ones don’t sleep at all.

America’s crime map is not random. And it is not evenly distributed. It forms a pattern, a persistent outline that says more about the country than any campaign speech or census brochure ever could. When you trace the safest states in America, you trace a corridor of calm: New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont’s shadow, Idaho’s long sweep of farms and foothills. Places where the pace is steady and the population overwhelmingly white. When you trace the most dangerous states, the pattern changes just as sharply — a concentration of chaos in states marked by sprawling cities, fractured communities, and the kind of “diverse” demographic makeup polite society insists you never mention.

Miranda Devine: FBI, Secret Service butchered the Thomas Crooks case and invited conspiracies – we deserve the truth

We are all owed a better explanation from the FBI and Secret Service about the attempted assassination of Donald Trump 16 months ago at a campaign rally in Butler, Pa.

The president himself remains unsatisfied with the answers he’s been given about the circumstances leading to 20-year-old Thomas Crooks climbing on a rooftop with an AR-15-style rifle and firing eight times at Trump, narrowly missing his head but hitting his ear.

As auto companies retreat from Canada, do government subsidies still make sense?

GM Brightdrop EV Dropped

It’s the spring of 2022 and federal and Ontario government officials are standing on the floor of a General Motors plant in Oshawa, Ont., to announce they were giving the automaker more than half a billion dollars.

The Detroit-based carmaker would use the money as part of a $2-billion plan to reopen the Chevrolet Silverado truck plant in Oshawa and retool a factory in Ingersoll, Ont., to build BrightDrop electric parcel vans.

Why Most Arab Countries Do Not Want Palestinians

Dozens of Palestinians released by Israel as part of last month’s ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas have complained that “no Arab country has agreed to receive us.”

According to reports in Arab media outlets, 145 Palestinians who arrived in the Egyptian capital of Cairo upon their release from Israeli prison “did not find any Arab or Islamic country willing to host them.”

Federal refugee employment program faces ‘extremely long, ballooning wait times’

Instead of waiting months, a federal program is now taking years to process the applications of refugees who are living overseas and have a job waiting for them in Canada.

As a result, some Canadian businesses are unable to fill positions, while skilled refugees are also in limbo and risk exploitation, arrest or detention.

In 2018, the federal government launched the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) for employers facing skill shortages to recruit internationally from within refugee populations. If approved, the individual is given permanent residency and can immigrate to Canada with their spouse and children.

No Canadian citizens to train? BS.  This is just another cheap foreign labour scam.

“Canadian Business’ should not be involved in setting immigration policy.

Detroit Considers Cash Handouts as Part of Costly Reparations Program

Detailing “historical atrocities,” a years-long reparations study in Detroit has a lengthy list of expensive recommendations but doesn’t put a final price tag on how much it would cost.

The Detroit Reparations Task Force produced a 558 page report with programs to compensate residents who are descendants of slaves and those affected by “unjust” city policies. The report comes a full year after it was originally due after a series of missed deadlines.

WARMINGTON: It doesn’t get any more despicable than stealing from the dead

It doesn’t get any lower and creepier than robbing graves.

This man and woman accused of doing this 300 times in Halton, Hamilton, Niagara and Toronto found a way to make it even more gross, disturbing and evil, according to police. This story is 18-karat crazy in which the accused couple are alleged to have removed jewelry from bodies resting inside GTA mausoleums.

PBS Claims Military Officers Are Lawyering Up Over Trump’s Orders but What’s Really Happening?

Sometimes it is impossible to hate PBS enough.

President Trump’s war on narco-terrorists and pressure campaign against Venezuelan autocrat Nicolas Maduro is decidedly unpopular in a lot of quarters. Sooner or later, an enterprising person in a profession that is supposed to search out the truth might get around to asking why there is such support for drug cartels and Chinese-influenced dictators among our “foreign policy” elites, but I’m not holding my breath.

The oil pipeline feud testing Canada’s global ambitions

As Canada looks to untangle itself economically from the US, the country’s landlocked oil patch is eyeing new customers in Asia through a pipeline to the Pacific. Not everyone is on board.

The oil-rich province of Alberta has had one demand for Prime Minister Mark Carney: Help us build an oil pipeline — and fast.

It’s no small task — in fact, some argue it has become near-impossible to build a pipeline in Canada because of laws designed to bolster environmental protections. Three oil pipelines have died on the vine in the past decade over fierce opposition.

Complaint against U. Central Arkansas alleges some scholarships discriminate against white students

A civil rights complaint recently filed against the University of Central Arkansas alleges that 10 scholarships run by the public university illegally discriminate based on race or sex, appearing to favor female students or students of color.

The complaint uses screenshots taken from the school’s website to back up its claims, flagging scholarships that accept applicants who are specifically “African-American students,” “underserved minority students,” and “Hispanic minority students.”
