WHISSELL: Pierre Poilievre Derangement Syndrome

Yes, Pierre Poilievre and anything he says are a threat to your livelihood.

Watching the Trump administration hunt down adversaries and undocumented migrants, Canada’s political class is utterly terrified. They worry the same thing could happen to them here, under a Conservative government.

They are particularly concerned about recent words from Pierre Poilievre, during an interview he gave on the Northern Perspective podcast.

London’s sad decline is a warning to New Yorkers

In three terms as mayor, Sadiq Khan has crushed the economic life out of Britain’s capital.

Once there was NyLon — a conflation of New York and London, the glamorous power couple of urban planning. A couple of decades ago, their intertwined finance- and media-driven economies were the mega-hubs of the Atlantic. But you don’t hear very much about that anymore. In fact, London’s economy has gone into a sad decline. And as New York prepares to elect a left-wing mayor, perhaps voters there should reflect on London’s lessons — because their city could easily be going the same way.

The Left is ‘Bleeding Kansas’

America again flirts with its own “Bleeding Kansas”—a cycle of partisan violence and defiance where lawless zealots are hailed as patriots and the rule of law bleeds away.

n the late 1850s, “Bleeding Kansas” was the term used to describe the escalating cycle of violence, when surrogates for the Union and soon-to-be Confederacy fought each other over whether Kansas would be admitted as a free or slave-owning state.

As the assaults and killings increased, radicals set the agenda. The logical next step was the nightmares of Fort Sumter and Bull Run.

The Rape of Europe’s Daughters

If it weren’t so depressing, it would almost be funny. Last weekend, the UK watched in horror as the Metropolitan Police unleashed a two-day manhunt for a convicted sex offender and illegal migrant who had been accidentally released from prison.

How did we get here? Hadush Kebatu, a 41-year-old Ethiopian, entered the UK by small boat in June this year and was placed in an asylum centre at the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex. Just a few days after his arrival, he approached a 14-year-old girl wearing her school uniform in Epping town centre, making sexually explicit comments and attempting to kiss her. The next day, he tried to kiss a different woman, before encountering the 14-year-old again and sexually assaulting her. He was arrested and charged.

Former Canadian Intelligence Analyst’s Book Reveals RCMP Evidence of Beijing’s Successful Operation Against Pierre Trudeau

In a groundbreaking new book, former Canadian intelligence analyst and historian Dennis Molinaro argues that nearly a thousand pages of newly declassified RCMP Security Service files indicate Pierre Elliott Trudeau was the first Canadian prime minister ever targeted by a successful Chinese Communist Party influence operation—one whose reverberations shape the central geopolitical crisis of our time: Beijing’s threat to invade Taiwan.

Grieving mother tears apart Sadiq Khan’s claims Rape Gangs of Asian men don’t prey on young girls

When Sadiq Khan claimed that his city does not have the same grooming gang culture seen in other cities and towns across the UK, it caused anger and incredulity in many quarters.

But few can have been as disturbed by the London Mayor’s self-vindicating claim as Finella Mackrodt – who remains haunted by the loss of her daughter Jasmine, who took her own life at 17.

Because Ms Mackrodt believes that her daughter’s suicide was a direct consequence of the sexualised grooming she was subjected to by organised gangs which began when she was barely out of primary school.

The Islamo-left is on the march across Britain

The next time someone asks what we mean when we say ‘Islamo-left’, I’m going to show them footage from yesterday’s protest in Whitechapel in East London. What a morally suicidal schlep that was. What an unholy union of witless leftists and menacing Islamists. ‘Refugees welcome here!’, cried the granola-fed grads of the limp-wristed left. ‘Allahu Akbar!’, barked the masked mob of religious hotheads. Rarely has the lethal idiocy of the left’s bed-hopping with Islamism been so starkly exposed.

Canadians can’t afford to eat as food bank visits hit record highs

Canadians are struggling to put food on the table like never before, according to Food Banks Canada’s 2025 Hunger Count.

Food prices have risen 25% over the last four years, and 39% of Canadians now experience food insecurity.

Jamie Sarkonak: There is a distinct pattern of trucker crashes in Canada

When a foreign trucker killed three people in Florida in August with a careless, illegal U-turn on a highway, I was not shocked. We Canadians hear about news stories like this on a regular enough basis.

But completely foreign to me was prompt action taken by American officials in response to the senseless deaths: driver Harjinder Singh was immediately charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and three counts of manslaughter, and one week later, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio halted the issuance of all work visas for commercial truckers, acknowledging the increasing safety risk they posed.

We Chased Driverless Trucks In Texas. What We Saw Will Scare You.

The comments on the true nature of the so called “Driver Shortage” are interesting.

Europe’s Urban Decline Exposed

From Birmingham to Berlin, Madrid to Malmö, people have given up on safety — and on those who were meant to guarantee it.

Twenty years ago, Europe still felt whole. Streets were still. Nights were calm. Many slept without worry. You could wander Marseille’s streets without a thought or lose yourself in Venice’s narrow lanes without a trace of fear. Today, that sense of sanity feels like an artifact from an ancient time. The latest World Safety Index report confirms what most already sense. Europe is no longer secure. France and Italy — once the crown jewels of the continent — now rank below Rwanda and Bangladesh for public safety.

As Trump throws his tantrum, does Carney really have a plan

It looks like the Canadian side was caught flat-footed with U.S. President Donald Trump’s blow-ups last week – terminating the trade talks and then suddenly adding new 10-per-cent duties.

Then on Monday Mr. Trump said he did not even want to see Prime Minister Mark Carney. “I’m not going to be meeting with him for a long time,” Mr. Trump said.

So, where should the Carney team go from here?
