Poilievre says there should be ‘billions of dollars’ in cuts to federal bureaucracy

As the federal government prepares its long-anticipated budget in November, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says he would like to see “billions of dollars” in cuts.

“There needs to be billions of dollars of reductions in the federal bureaucracy,” Poilievre said in an interview with CTV Question Period airing Sunday.

Poilievre also said the federal government “should cut the budget for consultants by at least $12 billion.”

Poilievre can’t win on this issue.

We’ve already seen Carney backtrack on his earlier promise to make serious cuts.

Face it unionized government bureaucracy at all levels is an important vote bloc. Another of Canada’s 3rd Rails.

The problem for Canadians is the MSM has in large part become part of the Federal Bureaucracy thanks to government press subsidies.

Consequently the issue of civil service reductions will always be portrayed as wrongheaded, a danger to Canadians and its proponents heartless.

Globe & Mail Hacked? Editorial calls for end to TFW!

Globe Editorial – The necessary pain of ending the TFW dodge

If the postings on the government of Canada’s job bank site are to be believed, hardly anyone in this country wants to work, whatever the wage. Never mind rising unemployment, particularly among young Canadians. Good help, it seems, remains impossible to find.

Companies seeking permission to hire a temporary foreign worker must first prove that they could not find a Canadian willing to do that work. As of Thursday, there were 4,594 positions listed. The type of positions, and pay, vary wildly, everything from a psychiatrist position in Ottawa paying (at least) $450,000 a year to a slew of minimum-wage jobs in agriculture and food service.

About time. And I doubt that the corporate class will “suffer” much at all when the scam is gone.

Boo Hoo! The Liberals will lose a GDP dodge and the affinity vote bloc harvest.

Kirk Shooting Unleashes Flood of Conspiracy Theories

These are the facts: On Wednesday, Sept. 10, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was addressing hundreds of people at an event at Utah Valley University when, around 12:23 p.m., an assassin fired a bullet that tore through his neck and killed him.

Authorities arrested a suspect 33 hours later after a tip from his parents, based on surveillance footage shared by the FBI. The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, had sent texts to his transgender lover confessing to the murder and suggesting a motive. “I had enough of his hatred,” one message read, referring to Kirk. “Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

He was allegedly an obsessed man with multiple identities, a stun gun, and a kayak.

U.S. authorities allege a Michigan man snuck across the border with a kayak and a bicycle in his plot to strangle a Windsor woman — and kidnap her four-year-old son.

The details are among many bizarre allegations the U.S. Attorney’s Office recently levelled against Royal Oak’s Shahzad Hameedi.

New poll shows why Chairman Chow might not get re-elected

With just over a year until the Toronto municipal election, a solid majority of residents think it’s time for a new mayor, according to a public opinion survey that could signal trouble for incumbent Olivia Chow.

The poll of Torontonians conducted by Ipsos for the Star found 58 per cent want change in the city’s highest office, and 42 per cent believe Chow is doing well enough to deserve re-election.

There’s significant anxiety among residents about the direction of the city — six in 10 of poll respondents said Toronto’s best days are behind it — “and as a result of that, people look to what they can do in order to change that situation,” said Darrell Bricker, Ipsos global CEO of public affairs. “One of the things that they can do is elect a new mayor.”

Chow is not Mayor she barely qualifies as a figurehead. The city is run by the usual left wing lunatics and their toxic allies.

Jimmy Kimmel hosted just one right-leaning guest in past four years — and it came with a condition

An “incredibly pissed” Jimmy Kimmel failed to make a deal with his Disney bosses Thursday to return to the air — still balking at their push for him to publicly apologize for his Charlie Kirk remarks, sources say.

The furious ABC late-show host went to his lawyer’s office in Los Angeles that afternoon for a video meeting with Disney TV honcho Dana Walden and ABC late-night head Rob Mills to try to figure out a path forward for his show, “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” sources told The Post.

WARMINGTON: Million People March to fight sex education in schools expecting massive turnout

The overall objective of the Million People March 4 Children on Saturday is to “protect parents’ rights” and “our children from indoctrination.”

But while the expected massive march is designed to fight governments from teaching children in schools an alternative sex curriculum, participants also plan to call out Toronto’s decision to pay for municipal staff gender operations – the subject of my Friday column.

Not seeing anything on Twitter that is current, lots from years past.

Trump adds $100,000 fee for skilled worker visa applicants

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order that will add a $100,000 (£74,000) annual fee for applicants to the H-1B visa programme for skilled foreign workers.

Trump’s order mentions “abuse” of the programme and will restrict entry unless payment is made.

Critics have long argued that H-1Bs undercut the American workforce, while supporters – including billionaire Elon Musk – argue it allows the US to attract top talent from around the world.

Great work by President Trump to protect American citizens from the much abused H-1B program but in Canada the Corporate Grifters rule ...

‘Canada First’ is really an ‘Immigrants Second’ movement

There was a “Canada First Rally” recently in Toronto, to “Stop mass immigration. Start mass deportations” according to the social media poster for the event. But here’s the catch: our immigration system already runs on a Canada First principle. Who is admitted, who is rejected, who is left in limbo is always structured around what Canada needs, not what immigrants want.

So maybe it’s time we call it what it is: an “Immigrants Second” movement.

Afghan asylum seekers ‘go home on holiday’

Afghans who have been relocated to Britain to protect them from the Taliban have returned to their home country on holiday, it has been claimed.

The Government has spent billions on a scheme to protect the asylum seekers from persecution in their home country after they supported British troops deployed there.

The alleged excursions back to Afghanistan have led to claims that the threat they face has been exaggerated.

Same BS every time everywhere.
