Canadians made three million fewer trips to the U.S. during summer travel boycott

Canadian travellers held strong to their boycott of travel to the United States right to the end of the summer, blowing a sizable hole in the U.S. tourism sector, the latest numbers from Statistics Canada show.

In August, the number of Canadian residents returning by vehicle from the U.S. plunged 33.9 per cent year-over-year to 1.9 million, while the number of residents returning by air fell 25.4 per cent to 423,000, the agency said.

My suspicion is that while the boycott certainly accounts for the majority of the decrease in trips the fact that Canadians are realizing they’re much more poor than they knew also plays a big role.

Stewart Suggests ICE Heading To Chicago Is Like a Nazi Invasion

Even by the standards of flippant Nazi analogies, Comedy Central’s Jon Stewart had an especially ill-timed Nazi comparison on Wednesday as he taped The Weekly Show podcast before Charlie Kirk’s assassination and ahead of its Thursday release. According to Stewart, President Trump sending ICE to Chicago can be roughly analogized with Nazi invasions in World War II.

Stewart began, “It is, we’re taping this on Wednesday, September 10th, it’s gonna be airing tomorrow, and today is the day they launched Operation Midway Blitz. Named for the city of Chicago and what the Nazis did through Europe. What could go wrong?”

So, Who Was the Guy Asking Charlie Kirk About Shootings at the Very Moment He Was Shot?

The guy who asked Charlie Kirk about shootings at the very moment the TurningPointUSA founder’s throat was pierced with a rifle shell, silencing him forever, was a 29-year-old TikToker who hates Kirk’s guts. Now, of course, he is shocked to learn that Kirk is — was — a human being who bleeds just like he does. Suddenly, his past affinity for doing smart-ass man-on-the-street interviews with Charlie Kirk audience members to show his TikTok audience what idiotic Nazis conservatives are may have lost a little of its luster. It’s iffy.

Michael Higgins: Carney Liberals, clinging to gender ideology, try to bully Danielle Smith

The Alberta government and the Carney Liberals both agree that there should be fair play when it comes to women in sports — but there is a bitter divide on what that means.

The government of Danielle Smith wants to emphasize fairness for girls, whereas the federal government is intent on focusing on fairness for transgender athletes.

There is a large ideological divide between these two positions that is not easily bridged.

Charlie Kirk Assassin Tyler Robinson Indistinguishable From Batshit Crazy Homicidal Progressives Cheering Kirk’s Death

Tyler Robinson ‘full of hate’ before Charlie Kirk shooting, says family friends — while ‘Hey fascist! Catch!’ found written on bullets

Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson was “full of hate” in the days before the shooting, according to a family friend, as authorities revealed the 22-year-old had confessed to the assassination and had been turned in by a relative.

Bullets found in the chamber of the rifle reportedly used by Robinson included apparent left-wing slogans such as “Hey fascist! Catch!” and another referencing “Oh, Bella Ciao!” a popular Italian anti-fascist song.

I hope he’s denied protective custody and traded for a cigarette every night of his sorry life.

Canadians fed up being abused with Mass Immigration from incompatible cultures by the Liberal Party and their Corporate Welfare Pals

Popular support for more immigration has cratered. Politicians are taking note

Canada’s large immigrant population has long been regarded as a virtue — but new data suggests popular opinion on adding more newcomers has gone through a seismic shift after years of explosive growth.

For much of the last 25 years, immigration was something of a third rail in Canadian politics, with few elected officials publicly questioning its value. On that issue, too, there’s been a major about-face.

At the Liberal caucus retreat in Edmonton this week, Prime Minister Mark Carney put the immigration system on notice, saying recent levels have not been “sustainable” and a more “focused” approach is required. “It’s clear that we must improve our overall immigration policies,” he said.

Things are pretty bad when even the CBC is made to comment.

Federal government is ‘urgently’ trying to dissolve B.C.-based terror group Samidoun, Joly says

OTTAWA — The Canadian government is “urgently” looking for a way to dissolve the not-for-profit status of Samidoun, a Vancouver-based anti-Israel organization that has been designed as a terror group, Industry Minister Mélanie Joly announced on social media on Thursday.

“It is completely unacceptable that any organization listed as a terrorist entity by the Government of Canada continues to exist as a federally registered not-for-profit organization,” wrote Joly. “I have therefore directed government officials to urgently look at any and all options to formally dissolve Samidoun as well as any and all listed terrorist entities in Canada.”

BS. The Liberals are simply avoiding having to offend their Muslim vote bloc.

Beloved elderly NYC couple pictured for first time days after alleged slaying by career criminal

This is the beloved slain couple who were tied up, stabbed and set on fire in their Queens home this week.

A photo obtained by The Post shows Frank Olton, 76, and his wife Maureen Olton, 77, whose burnt bodies were found in their modest house in Bellerose Monday.

The couple’s son, an FDNY EMT, learned of the fire because of his parents’ home alarm system and alerted authorities, police said.

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s government is expected to introduce legislation as early as Tuesday to crack down on people willfully intimidating and obstructing individuals entering places of worship, cultural community centres and schools, CBC News has learned.

A source with knowledge of the government’s plans says Ottawa will propose three new offences under Canada’s Criminal Code, including creating a new hate crime offence.

Carney promised during his election campaign to respond to what he’s called a “horrifying rise in hate” including antisemitism and Islamophobia. He signalled to his caucus this week changes were coming.
