The three fiscal taboos Canada can no longer afford

It’s possible Mark Carney never meant to use the a-word. He was answering a question in French, after all, and you know how that can trip him up sometimes. But there it was.

Asked if the fall budget would be an austerity budget, the Prime Minister did not attempt to deny it. Neither did he answer another question, not asked, a favourite tactic of politicians. Rather, he adapted it to a well-worn formula: “It’s an austerity and investment budget at the same time.”

Coyne’s role as a stenographer for our ruling class is a given.

How he can write an entire column on government spending and the economy without once mentioning that GDP has been destroyed through corporate Canada’s abuse of our immigration system that saw them callously import hordes of unskilled 3rd world migrants is beyond belief.

That’s not a productivity problem Coyne that’s just sleazy businessmen lining their pockets without giving a damn about the cost their greed has inflicted on Canadian society.

Ontario orders probe into board after students left without school to attend

In a letter released Friday, the Minister of Education says he has launched a full governance review after high school students in Parry Sound were forced to start the school year online.

The review into the Near North District School Board will be looking into the actions surrounding the partial demolition of the community’s old high school and delays in the construction of the area’s new kindergarten to Grade 12 school.

John Tory critics ramp up attacks as former mayor holds talk on possible mayoral campaign

Tory and Bimbo

John Tory’s political adversaries are stepping up their attacks on the former mayor — including the affair he resigned over — as some sources close to him say he’s now likely to run against incumbent Olivia Chow next year, and has held talks with key political insiders about a potential campaign.

The Star reported in June that Tory — who abruptly stepped down as mayor in February 2023 after the paper revealed he had a relationship with a staffer almost 40 years his junior — was considering running in the October 2026 mayoral election.

Toronto is such a mess even Tory looks good and I mean that in the very worst way.

WARMINGTON: TCDSB Chair wanted fries with that – at taxpayers’ expense

Holy shakes!

Being the chair of the Toronto Catholic District School Board sure can be sweet if you have the taxpayers flipping the bill. Yes, at a cost of $15.81, TCDSB Chair Markus de Domenico submitted an expense for a cookie dough-flavoured treat from the Holy Shakes Deserts Cafe on Rexdale Blvd. on April 22, 2024.

A jaw dropping degree of socialist entitlement!

Rosie O’Donnell Says Trump Is a ‘Serial Pedophile Rapist’ Who ‘Paid a Billion of Dollars to Jeffrey Epstein’ – Ooops! President Trump Was an FBI Informant Against Epstein

Actress and former The View co-host Rosie O’Donnell joined former CNN anchor Jim Acosta’s podcast and went on a conspiracy theory-filled rant about President Donald Trump, claiming he’s “suffering from dementia” and “heart disease” and claiming Trump gave convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein “a billion dollars over the time of their friendship.”

Trump broke her mind.

BOMBSHELL: President Trump Was an FBI Informant Against Epstein

House Speaker Mike Johnson made a stunning revelation Thursday in response to questions from CNN’s Manu Raju about President Donald Trump’s use of the term “hoax” to describe the ongoing controversy surrounding the Epstein files. In defending the president, Johnson disclosed that Trump had once acted as an FBI informant against Jeffrey Epstein—a fact that has never before been publicly acknowledged by a sitting congressional leader.

GUNTER: Federal Liberals hint at austerity, but don’t count on it

For more than a week now, Prime Minister Mark Carney and federal Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne have been preparing Canadians for an “austerity budget,” and perhaps even public-service layoffs.

Although while talking to reporters this week, Champagne was less committal. He spoke only of “adjustments” to the 440,000 federal civil service.

Reef Madness: A Baseless Coral Panic

You might have gotten the impression that the Great Barrier Reef—the aquatic wonder off Australia’s coast—is in grave peril. Last month, headlines shouted in unison: Great Barrier Reef suffers worst coral decline on record. Environmental journalists paint a picture of immense devastation driven by climate change.

The truth is much less alarming. Australian scientists have meticulously tracked the reef’s coral cover since 1986. For many years, they published an annual average coral cover figure. The data show that the reef was mostly stable until 2000, then began declining, and by 2012 it had shrunk to less than half its original cover.

Automakers cheer pause on federal EV mandate, but want a full repeal of lunatic Liberal policy

Canada’s auto sector won a policy victory on Friday as Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a one-year pause on the federal electric vehicle mandate, which requires 20 per cent of all 2026 model year vehicles sold to be electric, but many in the industry are looking for even more changes.

The Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association, a lobby group for three United States-based automakers with operations in Canada, said it will continue to push for a full repeal of the EV mandate. To that end, Carney also announced a 60-day review of the EV mandate.

Top immigration court rules judges can deny bond to millions of migrants

A Trump administration policy to deny bond hearings to immigrants who entered the country without authorization was upheld by an immigration appellate board Friday, expanding mandatory detention to thousands of people already behind bars and potentially millions more nationwide.

Although the policy is being challenged in federal court, the ruling by the Board of Immigration Appeals is likely to send an immediate chill through immigration courts where judges for decades have released individuals on bond whom they did not deem a flight risk or danger.

Those judges are now bound by the board’s decision. Immigration courts are not part of the judicial branch but fall under the Department of Justice.

The Trump administration understands the destruction mass immigration has caused and are working to fix it.

Canada on the other hand has a ruling class that believes it their right to profit from the harms they inflict on you via open borders.
