Soaring ‘Hate Speech’ Convictions Spark Free Speech Fears in Britain

Prosecutions for stirring up “racial hatred” through social media posts have reached record levels in Britain, triggering calls for urgent reform of the law amid growing fears for freedom of expression.

Ministry of Justice figures show a dramatic rise over the past decade. In 2015, just one person was convicted of the offence under the Public Order Act. By 2024, that number had surged to 44.

Almost a third of all convictions in the past ten years were recorded last year alone, following nationwide unrest in the wake of the Southport stabbings.

Carney says time is up for ‘elbows up’ as Canada drops many retaliatory tariffs on U.S.

OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney said it’s no longer time for “elbows up” as he announced Friday that Canada will remove retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods covered by the existing trade agreement between the countries minus those on steel, aluminum and autos.

Carney said the move was designed to match the U.S. decision not to levy tariffs on goods that are compliant with the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), saying the countries had restored free trade on a “vast majority of our goods.”

Nigerian father who was denied asylum three times is allowed to stay in Britain – after belatedly claiming he’s gay

A Nigerian father whose asylum claim was rejected three times has been allowed to stay in Britain after belatedly arguing he is gay.

The man, who has been granted anonymity, first arrived in the UK in 1983 but overstayed and left nine years later.

He returned in 1996 and made several failed asylum bids, including on the basis of political opinion and later through marriage to a Portuguese woman.

Canada is just as stupid in fact worse as we have a dedicated program for importing Gay Refugees etc.

Mark Carney was once ‘concerned’ about Trump. Now things have gotten worse than anyone could have guessed

In April, just days before he was elected prime minister, I asked Mark Carney whether Canadians ought to start worrying about the state of things down south.

“The U.S. system is one of checks and balances, famously,” Carney began. At the core of the American system of democracy, he went on, “is the rule of law.” He gave a small shrug: “I expect that to continue.” Without taking a beat, “yes,” the prime minister acknowledged, “I’m concerned.”

MCTEAGUE: ’Net-Zero’ Carney’s going to build new pipelines? I’ll believe it when I see it!

Ever since Mark Carney’s rise to power, people have been trying to sell me on the idea that he’s just what this country needs — a (supposedly) practical, no-nonsense businessman who can clean up the mess his highly-ideological predecessor, Justin Trudeau, left us in. To reinforce this claim, they point to the constant rumblings about Carney’s commitment to building new oil and gas pipelines in Canada.

I’m sorry, folks, but I’ll believe it when I see it.

Carney gave a pipeline killing bludgeon to the Aboriginals. That was deliberate.

Cracker Barrel Is Dead, And Its Stupid Woke CEO Killed It With Gay Nonsense

Cracker Barrel’s new logo — and its miserable attempt to reinvent itself — is obviously a complete disaster, whether in terms of customer backlash or the company’s stock price.

But the real reason Cracker Barrel has been struggling is that its service and food quality nosedived after Covid, and instead of fixing that, the company and its woke executives decided to go full Bud Light and taste the rainbow and dare its customers to object.

Looks like another crappy Exec destroyed a beloved brand. I have never been in a Cracker Barrel but know of them because they allow RV’s to park overnight for free, well they did perhaps that ended with everything else good.

Cracker Barrel’s Board Should Fire The CEO Immediately

Cracker Barrel is learning the same lesson Bud Light did: fat, bearded, gun toting middle Americans not only dislike change — especially the “woke” kind — but will also turn on you for taking a staple brand they love and pile-driving it into the ground.

Pakistani Muslims Attack Churches, Holy Bible, and Christian Cross

The wave of hatred and violence against Christians in Pakistan has continued for decades. Burning homes, destroying Christian crosses and churches, setting the Holy Bible on fire, and even burning people alive demonstrate the extreme prejudice and hostility embedded in the hearts of extremist elements. This behavior is not accidental but is part of a deliberate plan aimed at intimidating and weakening Christians by desecrating their religious symbols.

Inside the Falkland Superlab: How RCMP Refusals to Cooperate With the DEA Fueled a Cross-Border Tariff Crisis

WASHINGTON — Canada’s federal police refused to investigate or cooperate with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration on a British Columbia fentanyl superlab probe tied to chemical-precursor shipments from China into Vancouver in late 2022, according to senior U.S. officials. More than a year later — only after the U.S. Treasury sanctioned Iranian-Canadian businessman Bahman Djebelibak and his Health Canada–licensed company Valerian Labs, naming them as part of a Chinese fentanyl trafficking syndicate that Washington sought to disrupt — did the RCMP finally open a siloed investigation. The force continued to refuse coordination or information sharing with the American agents who had initiated the case. In an exclusive interview, Derek Maltz, DEA Acting Administrator in 2025 with oversight of the matter, called the B.C. superlab case a “major disaster.”

Getting illegal truckers off the road

On August 12, an illegal alien from India killed three people in Florida. He wasn’t the “usual” criminal alien who raped or murdered. He was one of those illegals liberals salute for “working” whose “only” infraction was getting to the United States illegally. Lots of TikTok women on X will announce they have “no f-ing problem” with such “undocumenteds.”

Harjinder Singh killed those three people with a truck. He was driving a semi that made an illegal U-turn on a highway. Three people just happened to be in his way. (Although from India, Singh also failed the “xenophobic” regulations put in place two months ago by the Trump Administration requiring truckers to be literate in English).

Posh girls for illegal immigration

Zoe Gardner is the latest professional activist to sneer at working-class concerns about the migrant hotels.

The calibre of so-called progressives coming out to bat for illegal immigration amid growing anger over migrant hotels has been of a very low quality lately. So low in fact that they are making the situation worse.

I’ve been struck by just how many of the talking heads commissioned to appear on various current-affairs shows and radio phone-ins don’t appear to understand the migrant-hotels issue or why it’s provoking so much anger. Among the many low-calibre pundits in this vein one in particular has stood out: Zoe Gardner.

Carney’s 100 days

Mark Carney changed Canada’s politics, quickly. He won a sudden Liberal leadership race, took power in five days and called a snap election – campaigning on a promise that he would change a lot more, fast.

His was a campaign built on a sense of a country in crisis, under threat from a U.S. president intent on levying punishing tariffs on Canada and undermining its sovereignty.

Mr. Carney argued that this crisis would require swift action. Comprehensive security-and-trade negotiations with Donald Trump. Sweeping away internal trade barriers. Launching major national projects. Redefining relations with the world. Building a stronger, more independent Canada.

If aliens find Earth, they’ll probably come from this direction

Humans dream of finding life on Mars — but could our fascination with this neighbouring planet broadcast our existence to aliens who live much further away?

A review of the most powerful signals that humans have sent into space has shed light on how extraterrestrials might find us.

The study analysed the logs of Nasa’s Deep Space Network (DSN), an array of radio dishes in California, Spain and Australia that communicate with the agency’s far-flung spacecraft. It concluded that the bulk of humanity’s most powerful, persistent signals into the cosmos had been directed not at distant stars but at machines orbiting or roving the red planet.

Britain’s Flag Wars Fly in the Face of National Self-Loathing

Until a few weeks ago, you were more likely to see a Palestinian, Ukrainian, or LGBT pride flag flying in London than to see any of the UK’s own colours. Now, thanks to a grassroots movement called Operation Raise the Colours, that could be changing.

Union Jacks and St. George’s flags have been cropping up across the country over the last few weeks, being hung on lampposts by groups of patriots. The movement appears to have begun in Birmingham, organised online, before spreading to Norwich, Bradford, Newcastle, Swindon, and even London.
