Stellantis lays off ‘small number’ of workers in Windsor as company cuts back on anemic EV muscle car

Stellantis is laying off workers at its assembly plant in Windsor, Ont., as the company shifts away from its electric muscle car.

“A small number” of workers received layoff notices Friday, according to Stellantis spokesperson LouAnn Gosselin.

“The layoffs are based on seniority and are a result of regular volume adjustments at the plant,” Gosselin said.

I don’t like to see people losing jobs but I have zero sympathy for the ideologically driven climate loons who pushed their Stalinesque 5 Year EV Plan on the public.

Trump Is Right to Send the National Guard to Washington

The era of defining crime deviancy down is over. That is the most important message to come out of President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard to Washington, D.C.

The late Democratic senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York coined the phrase “defining deviancy down” in 1993 to describe the normalizing of antisocial behavior in contemporary America. Levels of deviancy once regarded as unacceptable become the new norm, hardly worthy of attention.

This ought to go over well.

Canadian shipyard slams B.C. Ferries’ contract with Chinese shipbuilder

The largest and oldest shipyard in Canada says it didn’t stand a chance in bidding against a Chinese company to build four new vessels for B.C. Ferries.

It’s the latest criticism levelled at the ferry operator following its decision to purchase the vessels from Chinese-state owned CMI Weihai Shipyards. That criticism and China’s punishing new tariffs on Canadian agriculture products have renewed calls for the contract to be cancelled.

Federal court halts Indian national’s deportation because of wife’s ADHD

The Federal Court has granted a last-minute stay of removal for Jagjit Singh, an Indian citizen who was scheduled to be deported from Canada, ruling that his pending spousal sponsorship application and the health needs of his Canadian wife warrant delaying his departure.

Singh arrived in Canada in 2021 on a temporary resident visa and initially filed a refugee claim. In January 2025, he married L.B., a Canadian citizen, and withdrew his refugee claim shortly after she submitted an inland spousal sponsorship application on his behalf. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) confirmed in May that L.B. met the eligibility criteria to sponsor Singh, but no decision on his permanent residence application has yet been made.

Smithsonian’s American History Museum Is Wall-To-Wall Anti-American Propaganda

The Smithsonian Institution is one of America’s greatest assets.

When Americans visit the nation’s capital in Washington, D.C., they are able to witness their country’s vast array of art, culture, history, and research acumen all in one place, and for free, because of the museums and zoo the institution operates there.

Like the national parks, the Smithsonian is part of America’s cultural inheritance.
