Ford Decides to Commit EV Suicide

Shouldn’t the shareholders intervene at some point?

Last time I checked in, Ford had lost billions making electric ‘cars’ that no one wants.

“Ford reported that it’s going to lose $3 billion on electric cars in 2023. Unlike most automakers, Ford reports its electric vehicle numbers separately, but experts estimate that most car companies are losing similar amounts on the dead end business.”

The critics of Nova Scotia’s ban on accessing the woods don’t understand our culture

I realized how dry the woods are in Nova Scotia when I stopped my car by the side of the road the other day and briefly stood on the gravel shoulder. The woods smelled dry, almost smoky, like they wanted to be on fire.

It’s not how this typically soggy peninsula normally smells. But we have had less than half the normal seasonal amount of rain this summer. The last substantial rain fell on June 7. Wells are drying up. The whole province is in a state of extreme fire risk.

So when Premier Tim Houston announced on Tuesday that he was ordering the woods closed, I was glad.

Majority of Brits support stripping Prince Andrew of his remaining royal titles – amid speculation future King William will look to cut him out

Two thirds of Britons support stripping Prince Andrew of his remaining royal titles, new research has shown.

According to YouGov polling, 67 per cent of the population would back a move by the Royal Family to remove any remaining vestiges of his former position.

The most well known title held by the late Queen’s second son is the Duke of York, a title given to him on his wedding day to Sarah Ferguson in 1986.

Crime Pays in Modern Britain

In the UK today, it’s sometimes safer to be the criminal than the victim of crime.

Take the perplexing case of Rob Davies. In Wrexham, north Wales, the frustrated shopkeeper was told off by police for complaining about the scourge of thieves in the area. Davies, who runs a vintage clothing store, had resorted to displaying a sign in the shop window that read: “Due to scumbags shoplifting, please ask for assistance to open cabinets.” He explained to the Telegraph that, due to an increasing number of thefts, he was forced to lock away some of his goods. “Over the past year,” he said, “I have caught five people shoplifting. The first one I called the police and they handed the shirt back to me and let him go. Now I don’t bother reporting them and I have had to put locks on my cabinets.”

BERNARDO: Liberal firearms policy: Punish the lawful, ignore the criminal

When Ottawa spends billions attacking the people who already obey the law, you have to wonder if public safety was ever their goal.

From Victoria, British Columbia, to St. John’s, Newfoundland, law-abiding Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) holders watch Ottawa waste more resources, strip more rights from lawful Canadians, and protect more violent criminals from prosecution and incarceration while calling it, in true Orwellian fashion, “public safety.”

Doug Ford vows to ‘legislate’ end to medical testing on dogs after Ontario hospital caught using beagles

Premier Doug Ford is vowing to “legislate” an end to medical tests on dogs after St. Joseph’s hospital in London was caught using beagles for heart attack research.

“I’ve now directed our team to start hunting down anyone else doing research on dogs or cats since it’s unacceptable,” Ford told reporters Tuesday in Windsor.

“I think we just legislate and ban it — there’s no reason we need to be using poor little dogs or cats or anything like that. It’s just unacceptable, it’s cruel, it’s inhumane,” he said.

My high school’s grade 13 biology class dissected cats.

Their frozen bodies were stored in open garbage cans in the courtyard with no effort to conceal them.

Ilhan Omar’s Father Served a Communist-Islamist Regime Before Becoming a Refugee in Minnesota

Socialist Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) called her father “an educator.” According to the man’s obituary, he was a distinguished colonel in the army of communist Somalia, whom the United Nations described as having “one of the worst human rights records in Africa.”

There is no evidence of her father’s direct complicity in any atrocities, but Omar has not confronted the legacy of the regime to which her father was loyal.

Child Abuse: Christians singled out as “Oppressors” by TDSB Human Rights Dept.

‘No more TikTok teaching’: Jewish advocacy group calls for Ontario classrooms to be free of identity politics

A Jewish advocacy group released a report on Monday with recommendations to depoliticize Ontario classrooms. It called on the ministry of education to build a curriculum based on achievement, rather than identity.

… The same policies that have made Jewish students feel unsafe have also created inhospitable environments for Hindu, Christian and Asian students, she said, adding that the human rights department at the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) trains staff on “who qualifies as an oppressor,” singling out Christians.

Here is the JEFA web site and full report.

In pdf format – End the Crisis in Education final

I hope parents sue the TDSB for child abuse.

But I have to ask why Christian churches have never raised this issue.

This blog spent a lot of energy covering TDSB antics and was the 1st to reveal the anti-white racism embedded in  TDSB teaching.

This Mexican city had one of the world’s highest homicide rates — so it fired most of its police

CELAYA, Mexico — On a sunny spring day last year, a young attorney named Gisela Gaytán kicked off her campaign for mayor in this gritty Mexican city.

Under her blouse she wore a ballistic vest.

Celaya had become the epicenter of a bloody cartel war, with one of the highest homicide rates in the world, and a local police force that appeared powerless to stop it.

“We must recover the security that we so long for,” Gaytán, 38, wrote on social media before setting out that day.

How to Bring Safety to the District of Columbia

In a Monday morning press conference, President Donald Trump announced new, decisive action to quell crime and violence in the District of Columbia. Flanked by Cabinet officials, the president indicated that he will not only deploy National Guardsmen to the city but also temporarily federalize the D.C. police department (MPD) under an obscure provision of the District’s home rule law.

The Ford government is taking over school boards. It should be dismantling them instead

Back in June, the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) announced it planned to transfer beloved principal Barry Sketchley out of Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, which he founded 33 years ago.

This was unusual because Sketchley had already announced he would retire next year. All the TDSB had to do was to let Sketchley serve his final year at Rosedale Heights, but instead, it decided to forcibly transfer him. Not surprisingly, parents and students mobilized against this transfer. Students walked out of classes in protest while parents lobbied TDSB trustees in an attempt to persuade them to reverse the transfer. Unfortunately, all this fell on deaf ears.

Trump Was Right the First Time: Fire Intel’s CEO

President Donald Trump and members of his cabinet met Lip-Bu Tan, CEO of Intel, on August 11.

“The meeting was a very interesting one,” Trump posted on Truth Social immediately afterwards. “His success and rise is an amazing story. Mr. Tan and my Cabinet members are going to spend time together, and bring suggestions to me during the next week.”

Here is a suggestion: Instruct the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into Tan. It is time to establish accountability in corporate America when it comes to the People’s Republic of China.
