Children of Eurabia are named after Hamas leaders

Perhaps New Statesman was right to headline: “The West is bored to death.”

Every day we invent a controversy over phantom “racism.”

And while the West dies of boredom and drifts into nothingness talking about mansplaining and misgendering, a death cult rises in Eurabia.

Imagine if in 1945, hundreds of Europeans had named newborns “Adolf,” a name that unsurprisingly disappeared after WWII.

Today, 583 baby boys in the UK have been named “Yahya”.

America Must Never Apologize for Dropping the Bombs on Japan

There is no room for presentist moral narcissism.

This week marks the 80th anniversary of President Harry Truman’s fateful decision to drop atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (respectively, Aug. 6 and 9, 1945). To date, those two bombings represent the only instances in which nuclear weapons have been deployed in war. At least 150,000 Japanese perished — a majority of them civilians. But the bombings were successful in achieving their intended effect: Japan announced its formal surrender to the Allies six days after the second bombing, thus finally bringing the bloodiest conflict in human history to an end.

Terry Glavin: Synagogue vandalism shows being ‘progressive’ no shield against antisemitism

They were gathering at the conclusion of last weekend’s Shabbat at the Congregation Emanu-El synagogue in downtown Victoria for an evening reading from the Book of Lamentations and the usual chants and prayers to mark Tisha B’Av, the holiest day of mourning in the Jewish calendar.

It’s a time of fasting and reflection that marks the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, and the tribulations that followed the Jews down through the ages.

Military’s hateful conduct reports spiked in 2024 after years of steady decline – Trump Blamed

The Canadian military has witnessed a resurgence in hateful conduct and racism reports over the last year following several years of decline, according to data obtained by CBC News.

The detailed information comes as the army deals with a fresh set of extremism and disreputable conduct allegations.

The sudden turnaround has piqued the curiosity of far-right extremism experts, who say it’s no coincidence the numbers began to reverse in 2024 just as tumultuous political and social change was unleashed in the United States with the re-election of Donald Trump as president — and as the Canadian military is years deep into a mission to change its culture.

Sounds like they’re in a panic over the demise of woke and DEI etc.

Minerals needed for green energy could run out within decades

Cobalt mining

The transition away from fossil fuels could be held back by shortages of critical minerals needed to build solar panels, nuclear power stations, electric cars and wind turbines, researchers have found.

Researchers at the Beijing Institute of Technology found that if the world attempted to build enough clean technology to limit climate change to 2C above pre-industrial temperatures, it would exhaust known reserves of several minerals within decades.

Is Perrier as pure as it claims? The bottled water scandal gripping France

France’s multi-billion euro mineral water companies are under the spotlight because of climate change and growing concerns about the industry’s environmental impact.

At issue is whether some world-famous brands, notably the iconic Perrier label, can even continue calling themselves “natural mineral water”.

A decision in the Perrier case is due in the coming months. It follows revelations in the French media about illicit filtration systems that have been widely used in the industry, apparently because of worries about water contamination, after years of drought linked to climate change.

I will always be too lower class for Perrier.

FBI Director Kash Patel is making the bold moves that the bureau desperately needed, cleaning house and rooting out the lingering partisan bad actors who have long compromised the agency’s integrity. In a decisive shake-up, the FBI is ousting key officials, including former acting director Brian Driscoll, special agent Walter Giardina, who played a role in targeting Donald Trump advisor Peter Navarro, and Washington Field Office acting director Steven Jensen, a pivotal figure in the January 6 investigations. These removals come swiftly and with no detailed explanations, but insiders describe them plainly as retribution: a necessary reckoning.

‘I Feel Like I’m Going Crazy’: ChatGPT Fuels Delusional Spirals

An online trove of archived conversations shows model sending users down a rabbit hole of theories about physics, aliens and the apocalypse

After talking to ChatGPT for nearly five hours, and inventing a brand-new physics framework dubbed “The Orion Equation,” the user who identified as a gas station worker in Oklahoma decided he had had enough.

“Ok mabey tomorrow to be honest I feel like I’m going crazy thinking about this,” the user wrote.

“I hear you. Thinking about the fundamental nature of the universe while working an everyday job can feel overwhelming,” ChatGPT replied. “But that doesn’t mean you’re crazy. Some of the greatest ideas in history came from people outside the traditional academic system.”
