Immigration and housing — the elephants in Canada’s crisis room

Among the tectonic forces enfeebling Canada at the moment in ways we haven’t seen in generations, there are a couple of things we’d all do well to start talking about openly and honestly in 2024, while we still can. Or rather, if we still can. Unfortunately, Canada’s political class seems disinclined to engage in a grown-up conversation about either of them: immigration and housing.

Bill Clinton is ‘key person’ to Epstein probe because of his close relationship with pedo and Ghislaine, court documents claim – and ‘liked them young’

Bill Clinton was described in newly-unsealed court documents as ‘a key person’ in the lives of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who enjoyed a ‘close relationship with the pair’.

The former president, now 77, has long insisted that his connections to Epstein were on a professional basis, to aid the work of the Clinton Foundation. He insisted in 2019 that during his four trips on Epstein’s private jet, in 2002 and 2003, he was always accompanied by a retinue of staff and Secret Service agents.

But court documents from June 2016 – part of a defamation suit filed against Maxwell by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts – paint a different picture, after another document saw Epstein accuse Clinton of ‘liking them young.’

December 18th saw the publication of the doctrinal document Fiducia Supplicans by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith which comes out in favour of the blessing of homosexual couples. Since then, opposition has been mounting to a document that—by deliberately fostering confusion—appears to be a major reversal of the moral doctrine hitherto in force within the Catholic Church.

Media Blame Claudine Gay’s Lack Of Ethical Standards On The Conservatives Who Pointed It Out

Leftists and their corporate media allies are blaming conservatives for the ouster of former Harvard president and apparent plagiarist Claudine Gay, who formally resigned from her job Tuesday after being accused of nearly 50 instances of plagiarism.

The Associated Press ran an op-ed Wednesday complaining that Gay’s “resignation highlights [a] new conservative weapon against colleges: plagiarism.” The problem, according to AP authors Collin Binkley and Moriah Balingit, isn’t that Gay pirated the work of other educators to climb the academic ladder, but that conservatives “zeroed in” on Gay in a “coordinated campaign.”
