Goodbye Liz Magill, and Good Riddance, You Bastard

I don’t know how much more time we Jews have left in America. Maybe a hundred years. Maybe a thousand years. Maybe more. Maybe less (the proper adjective if too much to count). Maybe fewer (if few enough to count). But today, as I write in December 2023 on this third day of the miraculous season of Chanukah, 27 Kislev 5784, I can celebrate a glimmering moment as enough non-Jews in America stood alongside Jews and demanded that Liz Magill resign as president of the University of Pennsylvania. And now the bastard is out.

Captured Hamas Minister Calls Its Leader ‘Crazy’ and Tells IDF He Has ‘Destroyed’ Gaza and Must Be Defeated

A former Hamas communications minister captured and interrogated by Israeli security officials told his captors that no one in Gaza backs the terrorist group’s current leader, Yahya Sinwar, and that he and his cohorts have “destroyed the Gaza strip,” according to Israeli press reports.

The former minister, Yousef al-Mansi, told Shin Bet agents questioning him that “This is a group of crazy people that [Yahya] Sinwar leads. They destroyed the Gaza Strip. Set it back 200 years,” according to the report.

COP28 draft deal fails to include fossil fuel ‘phaseout’

The hosts of the COP28 summit in Dubai presented a draft deal on Monday that stopped short of calling for the complete “phaseout” of carbon-emitting fossil fuels — the main drivers of climate change — that many countries have been demanding.

The draft deal proposed options that would reduce the production and consumption of coal, oil and natural gas.

At the same time, the writers of the draft put forward by the United Arab Emirates, which holds the COP28 presidency, had removed any mention of a “phaseout” that had been included in a previous draft.

Hamas Creates New Terrorist Group to Destroy Lebanon

On December 4, the Iran-backed Palestinian terror group Hamas announced the establishment of a new terrorist group in Lebanon with the goal of “liberating Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.” In the past two months, Hamas terrorists in Lebanon have carried out rocket attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians in northern Israel.

Hamas has called on the Palestinians living in Lebanon to join the group, “Vanguards of the Al-Aqsa Flood,” the name it chose for its barbaric invasion of Israeli communities near the border with the Gaza Strip on October 7, when it massacred 1,200 Israelis and abducted 240 others to the Gaza Strip.

British intelligence says Canada’s cyberspies are ‘at the head of the pack’

British intelligence has praised Canada’s electronic spy agency for being “nimble” and more advanced in some areas than they are, notably in cybersecurity where Canada is “at the head of the pack.”

A five-year study by the British House of Commons’ Intelligence and Security committee, said Canada plays a “leading role” in cybersecurity in the Five Eyes intelligence partnership, which also includes Britain, the U.S., Australia and New Zealand.

Trudeau Tackles Methane Emissions From Cow Burps

Canada announced a plan to encourage farmers to reduce emissions from cattle through a credit trading system, the latest climate-change initiative introduced by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government.

The Reducing Enteric Methane Emissions from Beef Cattle proposal would grant farmers who reduce methane emissions generated by cow burps to earn credits that can be sold to other businesses to meet their own emission targets.

Canada Looking to Replace Medicine With DEI Education for Docs

Should doctors know how to treat people for disease or how to promote a Left-wing version of social justice?

You probably have a different answer than the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada, which is considering a proposal from its Anti-Racism Expert Working Group, which has decided that Western medical knowledge and practice are superfluous to medical education, at least when weighed against social justice concerns.

Population growth is the housing issue politicians can’t keep ducking

If there’s a hot political debate over why Canada has a housing crisis, it is important to talk about the proximate cause.

It’s population growth. And the temporary resident boom.

Canadian politicians have spent a lot of time dodging and ignoring this unavoidable fact.

See the Hamas support rallies in our streets? That’s another aspect of population growth our so called mainstream politicians refuse to address.

The toxins of mass immigration, multiculturalism and diversity are putting lives at risk while ripping our society apart.

Not all cultures are equal. Canada’s political class and their corporate backers has invited incompatibale cultures to settle here.

Politicians don’t care where the bodies come from, they only care about meeting the population targets set by their corporate cronies and gaining the votes of ethnic strongmen.

Canada’s wreckless and destructive immigration policy is born of cowardice and greed without a care for the harm done to citizens.

Democrats Are Right to Be Scared of Trump’s Vengeance

I don’t understand why the supporters of the party of Hamas and failure are giving Donald Trump an in-kind campaign contribution in the form of their girlish, fussy cries of “He’s an authoritarian!” but okay. That the Trump 2.0 administration would ruthlessly use all the powers at its disposal should Trump win in 2024 to punish his enemies is about the best argument there is for giving him the Grover Cleveland nod.

Joel Kotkin: As antisemitism surges on the left, Jews are pushed to the right

Post Oct 7 and the stupid grows stronger.

Jewish Canadians will soon confront a new world that requires new allies

In the ever-shrinking world of the Jewish diaspora, Canada, along with Australia and the United States, hosts a most vital and comparatively healthy community. Yet in the midst of the current Israel-Hamas war, that community as well as those elsewhere, are under a siege that, at very least, will change their social and political orientation.

I doubt a major sea change is in the offing within Canada’s Jewish community.

Once the current war is over and forgotten the message will be softened and bygones declared bygones.

Many are shocked at the extent of anti-semitism that has revealed itself since Oct 7th but most were content to march in lockstep with their fellow “decolonizers”  so long as white people were the primary target.

That’s because “decolonizing” whitey has an evergreen appeal to leftists given it’s institutional approval by all levels of Canadian government and our entire education system.

The left weaponized CRT, DEI, mass immigration, multiculturaism and diversity and they’ve been successful in their application so it is unlikely leftist Jews and organizations will give them up.

The “Far Right,” code for white people, has proven itself a hugely successful fund raising gimmick for CRT pushers like the ADL.  No way will they give up that revenue stream and the social capital it bought them with the BLM’s of the world.

Kotkin’s version of “New Allies” doesn’t include President Trump whom he labels toxic. I wonder if he feels the same way about Trump’s supporters. It would only follow.

I’ll bide my time before accepting as an ally former decolonizers claiming to have had a moment of clarity.

‘Pathological Liar’ or ‘Brave’ Victim? The Curious Case of the ‘Islamophobic Hate Crime’ at Stanford

On November 3, 2023, a Syrian computer science student left a pro-Hamas sit-in protest at Stanford University. Students hoped to set a record for the longest campus sit-in. But it didn’t take long before an act of violence tarnished the event. As he was leaving the sit-in, Abdulwahab Omira was injured by a white man driving an SUV as he crossed one of the campus’s many traffic circles. The white man wearing glasses yelled at him, “F**k you and your people!” A hate crime was immediately reported to the Stanford Department of Public Safety, which quickly fired off a campus bulletin about the drive-by hate crime.

Nearly half of Canadians think carbon tax is ineffective at fighting climate change

A new survey has found that Canadians are feeling slightly more confident in the carbon tax’s effectiveness at combatting climate change than they were a few months ago—but uncertainty is still high.

Nanos Research surveyed more than 1,000 Canadians between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 to gain a picture of their current views on the carbon tax.

Far-right violence: Chemnitz riot trial begins Monday

The victims have been waiting a long time for this moment: Five years after right-wing extremist riots in the eastern German city of Chemnitz, the trial against the alleged perpetrators will begin on December 11.

Seven defendants between the ages of 26 and 51 stand accused of causing grievous bodily harm and disturbing the peace in 11 separate cases during the incidents of September 1, 2018.

That evening, following an event organized by the far-right Alternative for Germany party (AfD), right-wing populist association Pro Chemnitz, and the anti-Islam Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamization of the Occident (PEGIDA ), the defendants are alleged to have engaged in violent confrontations with participants of a counterdemonstration, according to the indictment by the Dresden public prosector’s office.
