Canadians Who Can’t Find Housing Should Contact Their ‘Local Authorities,’ Says Useless Housing Minister

Canadians unable to find housing should contact their respective City Halls for help, according to federal Housing Minister Sean Fraser.

At a press conference on Sept. 18, Mr. Fraser faced questions on what his government will do to address Canada’s housing crisis.

“What are you going to do for people who can’t find housing today?” asked a reporter, as first covered by Blacklock’s Reporter. “A lot of these measures are two years, three years down the road—it takes a long time to build apartment rentals.”

Pennsylvania high school students walk out after school board said transgender students must be allowed to use whichever bathroom they choose

Hundreds of students in Pennsylvania walked out of school in protest over a new rule allowing transgender students to use the bathroom of their choice.

High school students in Perkiomen Valley School District staged the protest after officials opted not to adopt a policy that would force students to use restrooms which correspond with their biological sex.

They accused education chiefs of ‘compromising’ their rights and putting female students at risk during the demonstration last week.

John Ivison: No public evidence, but plenty of carnage after Trudeau’s India accusations

So, there goes Canada’s Indo-Pacific strategy, the much-vaunted plan to counter an increasingly quarrelsome China by improving relations with democracies in the region like… India.

Not much is clear after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s stunning speech in the House of Commons that linked agents of the government of India with the June murder in B.C. of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar.

FTX sues founder’s parents for siphoning off millions to ‘enrich themselves’

The parents of disgraced cryptocurrency entrepreneur Sam Bankman-Fried have been accused of siphoning off millions of dollars in “misappropriated funds” from FTX.

Claims against Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried have been made in a lawsuit by administrators of FTX, as the crypto company seeks to claw back cash that they allegedly received prior to its collapse.

FTX has alleged the pair “exploited their access and influence” at the business to “enrich themselves”, as they benefitted from perks such as luxury hotel stays and the use of private jets.

Don’t like Pierre Poilievre’s populist path? Blackie’s Star chats up a new conservative option!

OTTAWA—A new political party is set to emerge out of the push for a more centrist approach to federal politics that began with last year’s Conservative leadership race, the Star has learned.

Liberals with a bowel blockage comes to mind.

Big Tech must not be judge, jury and executioner

YouTube’s clampdown on Russell Brand is an affront to due process.

I’m almost surprised it took them this long. Barely three days after comic, actor and self-styled online guru Russell Brand was accused of rape and sexual assault – as part of a blockbuster Sunday Times, Times and Channel 4 investigation – YouTube has ‘demonetised’ all of his videos on its platform, depriving him of any advertising income.

America’s sanctuary cities are falling apart

Places like New York are struggling to deal with an influx of migrants

If it were not so tragic, it would be funny. For years the progressive Left — in the US as well as across the West — has boasted about its willingness to accept people even if they have arrived in America illegally. With over one million having crossed the border illegally since Joe Biden took office — and their numbers are rising — the facade of the sanctuary city is falling apart.

Watching Girls Die Online

When raw food influencer Zhanna Samsonova died in July at the age of 39, after reportedly eating only fruit for the past seven years, she was just the latest person to join a tragic club: anorexic influencers who have starved themselves to death in public. Other recent examples include Amy Ellis earlier this year, who had 140K followers on TikTok, and Josi Maria in 2020, who had 138K followers on Instagram. There was also Kylie Jaye, a so-called fitness guru who died a few weeks before her birthday, and Nikki Grahame, a reality TV star, who was found dead the following month in her London flat in April 2021.

Black Lives Matter Protests Led to Fewer Police Killings, More Murders: Study

During the five-year period of the study, reported murders rose by about 11.5 percent.

While police killings declined in the aftermath of Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests, a recent study found that there was a jump in homicides as police became “less proactive” due to worries about public perception and lawsuits.

The Sept. 14 study analyzed two major waves of BLM protests—those following the death of Michael Brown, from 2014 to 2015, and those following the death of George Floyd, from 2020 to 2021.
