Town of Ajax dealing with ‘crisis situation’ after influx of Trudeau’s “refugees”

Officials with the town of Ajax, Ont., say in less than two weeks, the town has seen more than 200 asylum seekers arrive, creating a dire situation as shelters across Durham Region are at capacity.

Durham’s regional chair John Henry says the influx of refugees is something they’re not equipped for.

“We were never designed as a level of government to try to manage these problems,” says Henry.

Gender versus sex – a simple guide from the WHO

FOR readers confused about the difference between gender and sex, I have wonderful news. The admired and respected World Health Organization (WHO) has helpfully come up with an explanation. There may be some cynics who feel the extract below is nonsensical, woke gobbledygook, but I subscribe to the officially imposed mantra that there are close to a hundred genders. Otherwise I would probably be banned and cancelled and deplatformed and debanked etc etc.

Outnumbered with outdated kit: a day with Ukraine’s helicopter pilots

Sitting in his clunky, Soviet-designed helicopter, Major Maksym of the Ukrainian air force could offer only one explanation for why he and his colleagues keep flying despite being outgunned and outnumbered by their Russian adversaries: “We have iron arses.”

A field of sunflowers swayed in the breeze outside the cabin door as he elaborated: “We have only courage, morale and experience to help us, but that’s it.”

The inside story of how the FBI’s top brass intervened to protect top Democrats

Jerry Dunleavy, an excellent political reporter at the Washington Examiner, has used Twitter to publish what he correctly labels a “scoop,” and he has crafted a must-read. Using my words, not his, he found a source, “a former FBI official from the counterintelligence world,” who explained how a notable coverup worked.  He eschews such conclusory language and wisely sticks to a straightforward facts-first reporting style.

Snow Woke: Today’s Woke Movie is Tomorrow’s Hate Crime

Did he slip her a roofie? Pretty rapey!

On a recent trip, we were staying at a place that had streaming subscription services. While we don’t have any at home, and if we had any, it certainly would not be Disney+, here I gave it a try. I ignored the firehose of Marvel/Star Wars junk and the recent identity politics cartoons and everything from the last two generations.

A new fridge …

Fridge cat filmed in the wild.

The Fridge arrived earlier than expected but thankfully I was able to reschedule the elevator booking.

As instructed I let it sit for 2 hours to allow “the gas” to settle before plugging it in and went shopping for some groceries. (No I never heard of the gas thing before either.)

It looks a little barren inside and frankly Xavier has more food on hand than I do.

What I found immediately off putting was having to bend down to look into the fridge, a forgotten advantage of the old bottom freezer model.

The crispers and deli tray are made of what seems to be very brittle plastic and everything is just a little less solid looking than the old one.

You get what you pay for and this was on the low end of current fridge pricing.

Everything seems to be working so I can’t complain.

This is my third fridge in these digs and the first I purchased online.

I miss the whole process of “shopping” as it was, the back and forth of pros and cons and the tire kicking that took place when a ‘major appliance’ was purchased.

Fridge cat has yet to hop inside his new habitat. It’s a different world.

Jack the Ripper’s identity ‘revealed’ by newly discovered medical records

A former police volunteer claims to have discovered the identity of the figure behind some of the most shocking crimes in British history, unmasking the 19th-century murderer who terrorised the nation as Jack the Ripper.

Sarah Bax Horton – whose great-great-grandfather was a policeman at the heart of the Ripper investigation – has unearthed compelling evidence that matches witness descriptions of the man seen with female victims shortly before they were stabbed to death in 1888 in the East End of London.

Canadian Politicians Who Criticize China Become Its Targets

As China increases its reach in diaspora communities, Chinese Canadian politicians in Vancouver are the focus of Chinese state interference in Canadian politics.

The polls predicted a re-election victory, maybe even a landslide.

But a couple of weeks before the vote, Kenny Chiu, a member of Canada’s Parliament and a critic of China’s human rights record, was panicking. Something had flipped among the ethnic Chinese voters in his British Columbia district.

“Initially, they were supportive,” he said. “And all of a sudden, they just vanished, vaporized, disappeared.”

Safe Spaces: Paris Metro To Dedicate Spaces To Help Victims of Sex Attacks

Sexual assault and sex attacks have become an increasingly common phenomenon on the Paris metro and the RER train in recent years and Parisians have become less and less enamoured with public transport, particularly in regards to safety.

A poll released earlier this year revealed that half of those living in the French capital felt unsafe when travelling by metro, several percentage points ahead of France as a whole.

Nobel Prize-Winning Scientist: ‘Climate Crisis’ Narrative Is a Hoax

A renowned Nobel Prize-winning scientist has spoken out to warn the public that the “climate crisis” narrative being pushed by the global elite and their allies in the corporate media is a hoax.

Dr. John Clauser, the co-winner of the 2022 Nobel Physics prize and one the world’s leading authorities on quantum mechanics, blasted “climate emergency” claims as a “dangerous corruption of science that threatens the world’s economy and the well-being of billions of people.”

Pageboy Reveals Elliot Page Is One Hot Mess

The “trans” actress is undoubtably a product of Hollywoke.

Well, now I know what it’s like being the full-time psychiatrist of a hyper-narcissistic celebrity. No, I haven’t gone to med school, been a psychiatric resident, and hung out a shingle. I’ve just read Elliot (formerly Ellen) Page’s memoir, Pageboy, which, indeed, of all the books I’ve ever encountered, comes the closest to reading like a transcript of the overwrought ramblings, on some shrink’s couch, of an extraordinarily neurotic and self-absorbed movie star.

I do not like posting about Page as she seems genuinely ill. This article reveals her to be forever on the verge of self destruction.

How Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s murder in Canada fuelled tensions with India

On a mid-June summer evening in the busy parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in the city of Surrey, Hardeep Singh Nijjar was shot dead in his truck by two masked gunmen.

A month later, the unsolved killing continues to reverberate, in Canada and across borders. Hundreds of Sikh separatists took to the streets in Toronto, along with a handful others in cities like London, Melbourne and San Francisco, just last weekend to protest the Indian government, which they believe is responsible for his death.

Conrad Black: The natural resources project that the Liberals can’t be allowed to fumble

Regular readers will recall that from time to time I inveigh in this space against the uncompetitive economic performance of this country as we slip steadily down the list of the world’s most prosperous per capita incomes and we suffer every year from negative capital flows: more Canadian capital invested outside Canada than Canada attracts from foreigners. The present federal government seems to wish to discourage our primary industry sector, that is all natural resources, though particularly the oil and gas industries. What the world envies about and most needs from Canada is that it is a treasure house of almost all forms of energy, forest products, base and precious metals and non-tropical agriculture. Pierre Trudeau was periodically mesmerized by the anti-economic growth pieties of the Club of Rome, and astonishingly for a man of his high intelligence, did not grasp the importance and desirability of economic growth until its absence endangered his own political incumbency.
