Titanic tourist submersible goes missing sparking search

A submersible used to take people to view the wreck of the Titanic has gone missing in the Atlantic Ocean, sparking a search and rescue mission.

The Boston Coastguard told the BBC on Monday that an operation to find it was under way.

It is not clear how many people, if any, were on board at the time it went missing.

Small submersibles occasionally take paying tourists and experts to view the wreck of the Titanic.

Urine on the seats. Kids peeking under doors, at least one case of indecent exposure, incipient parent revolt. TDSB Says Gender Neutral Washroom Policy Is Working Fine

Some parents of kids at Toronto’s first, and only, public school with all gender-neutral washrooms are calling on the board to add separate facilities for boys and girls, saying they have concerns around safety, hygiene and comfort.

… There are moms and dads who support this, and some who are indifferent. But a group representing roughly 125 parents in the elementary school say kids have peeked beneath stall doors and kicked them while girls are inside, and a boy once exposed himself to a girl. They also say the washrooms, which have only toilets and no urinals, are dirty because urine is left on seats, with boys suspected of being the main culprits. And, they say the current setup can be uncomfortable for menstruating girls who need to unwrap a sanitary napkin or tampon within earshot of boys.

Muslim parents feel their religion isn’t being respected because a Muslim girl cannot remove her hijab in front of males — something she may do as part of wudu, a purification ritual that is performed before prayers, which includes washing the face.

It isn’t just Muslims, the TDSB Groomers hate normalcy and seek to indoctrinate their perversion in children.

Trudeau’s Carpetbagging Bro Dominic Barton & McKinsey pitched Purdue Pharma Canada on plan to get rich on Opioid addiction in 2014, memo reveals

McKinsey pitched Purdue Pharma Canada on plan to boost opioid sales in 2014, memo reveals

Global consulting giant McKinsey & Co., under the leadership of Dominic Barton, pitched Purdue Pharma (Canada) in 2014 on how it could more aggressively market and boost sales of OxyContin and other highly addictive opioids to Canadians, according to a confidential memo obtained by The Globe and Mail.

McKinsey & Co. is facing a class-action lawsuit from the B.C. government, which Ottawa plans to join, that accuses the firm of engaging in reckless marketing campaigns to boost opioid sales, placing the Liberal government at odds with a company it has relied on for more than $100-million in contract work since 2015.

Barton is the same sociopath behind Trudeau’s mass immigration scam, he was a founding member of Century 100 and is also a China Class 5th columinist.

A Church of England school teacher told a pupil she was “despicable” after she refused to accept that her classmate identifies as a cat.

The 13-year-old girl and her friend were reprimanded by their teacher at Rye College, in East Sussex, on Friday at the end of a Year 8 class on “life education” in which they were told they can “be who you want to be and how you identify is up to you”.

Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives want to ‘destroy’ Bernier

Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives want to ‘destroy’ this rival — and what else you need to know about Monday’s federal byelections

OTTAWA—At the tail-end of a combative parliamentary session comes four chances to gauge the mood of the Canadian electorate: on Monday, voters in a quartet of federal ridings will cast ballots in byelections to fill vacant seats in the House of Commons.

What might the results tell us, after months in which concerns about Chinese government meddling and increasing costs dominated the political debate before the House is set to rise this month? Each riding has its own dynamic at play, from a battle with the far-right in the Conservative heartland to questions about Liberal enthusiasms in previously rock-solid red regions.

I wish Bernier well.

Canada’s housing affordability crisis comes to Alberta

If there’s one non-partisan, independent public inquiry Canada needs as much as one on foreign interference, it’s an examination of how the country has descended into a housing affordability crisis.

This would be a look back at this slow-rolling disaster played out over years, beginning in Vancouver and Toronto, then spreading to Halifax, Guelph, Ont., and Kelowna, B.C. For a long time, it wasn’t an issue prioritized by politicians – maybe they thought it would sort itself out. Or perhaps it was because nearly all policy-makers already owned homes.

Russia aims to defeat counteroffensive with mines, artillery and aviation

RIGA, Latvia — As Ukraine readied its counteroffensive by gathering Western weapons and sending its troops for NATO training, Russia spent at least seven months preparing for this potentially definitive stage of the war — by readying reserves, artillery and aviation support, stockpiling ammunition and fuel, and procuring more drones.

Russian forces also burrowed into the territory they occupy in southeast Ukraine, digging lines of trenches and erecting fortifications along the entire 900-mile-long front line, from Zaporizhzhia to Russia’s Belgorod region.

Lametti Says Ottawa Open to Outlawing Residential School Denialism

Federal Justice Minister David Lametti says he is open to the recommendations in a new report that proposes civil and criminal sanctions against Canadians who engage in residential-school denialism.

Lametti was responding to an interim report by his appointee, Kimberly Murray, a member of the Kahnesatake Mohawk Nation in Quebec, who was tasked in June 2022 to identify measures including legal ones to address what the government said were unmarked graves and burial sites of children at former Indian residential schools.

Your next EV could be made from metals extracted from the seabed – a potential environmental disaster

… Plans by Norway and other countries to dig up the seabed are more grim evidence that automotive utopia is a myth – there is no such thing as an environmentally friendly car, no matter the propulsion system, and EVs are certainly dirtier than advertised. Manufacturing them may result in wrecking entire ecosystems that had gone largely untouched.

Oxford Notes ‘Sharp Decline’ In Appetite For MSM News In Recent Years

According to Oxford University’s Reuters Institute, 47% of people are interested in the news, down from 63% in 2017. In the UK, the proportion is even lower.

What’s more 36% of people worldwide say they sometimes or often actively avoid the news.

Burnout?

In what may be a sign of information overload, the authors of the report said that there is evidence that audiences “continue to selectively avoid important stories such as the war in Ukraine and the cost-of-living crisis as they cut back on depressing news and look to protect their mental health,” according to the BBC.

AMC Theatres Cancels De-Transitioner Film Following Trans Group’s De-Platforming Campaign

AMC Theatres abruptly canceled a film showcasing the voices of young people who have de-transitioned after having hormone therapy and surgeries to purportedly “affirm” their “gender identity.”

“No Way Back: The Reality of Gender-Affirming Care” was set for initial release on June 21 in dozens of theaters across the country. Producers of the film say AMC caved to the pressure of a de-platforming campaign by a transgender group called the Queer Trans Project, which has not had access to view the full film.
