Would you pay $800 a month to live in a closet? In Vancouver, that may be all you can afford

Two-bedroom basement suites going for $3,000 a month, a single bed in a room listed for $1,000 a month, and windowless closets renting for $800.

Expensive rent in Metro Vancouver is nothing new, but renters searching for a home in the region say the listings they’re coming across have reached a whole new level of absurdity.

“It’s out of control,” said Laura Herbert, 48, who is trying to find an affordable home for her adult son, who has a brain injury and lives off $1,400 a month in disability payments.

The Liberal Party makes you live like your in the 3rd World. If you voted for Trudeau you should be dipped in shit and run out of town.

Stephen Harper thinks foreign interference is ‘far worse than we think’

China’s political interference in Canada is pervasive, and likely goes well beyond what has already come to light, former prime minister Stephen Harper is warning, calling for an end to what he calls “naive globalism.”

The Chinese government has sought to influence elections in Canada, channel money to curry political favour and seek vulnerabilities in politicians who have family living in China, according to secret intelligence documents reported by The Globe and Mail in recent months.

What else could be expected? Canada is a balkanized state of 5th Columns thanks to Multiculturalism which makes loyalty a one way street.

And …

Trudeau’s China Class Buddy says “My work to protect Canada’s democracy from foreign interference is not done”

More like his work is protecting Canada’s China Class antics.

Russians snitch on Russians who oppose war with Soviet-style denunciations

MOSCOW — Parishioners have denounced Russian priests who advocated peace instead of victory in the war on Ukraine. Teachers lost their jobs after children tattled that they opposed the war. Neighbors who bore some trivial grudge for years have snitched on longtime foes. Workers rat on one another to their bosses or directly to the police or the Federal Security Service.

Thinking the ‘unthinkable’: How China could change Canada’s conversation about nuclear subs

Almost a decade ago, a military conflict between the United States and its allies on one side and China on the other was described by major foreign policy and defence observers as the “unthinkable war.”

Lately, it’s become clear that those same experts are now thinking through the unthinkable.

After the recent G7 summit in Hiroshima, Japan, Beijing summoned Japan’s ambassador to China to complain about what it called the “anti-China” tone of the summit. Later, the Chinese government publicly berated Great Britain.

Not going to happen under a Liberal government. Their goal is to destroy Canada’s armed forces.

Allies now consider Canada’s Liberal government a security risk so I am not sure the US or Britain would be willing to risk their technology in Canada’s hands.

Conrad Black: David Johnston succeeds at massaging Trudeau’s message

Following the preliminary report by David Johnston, the special rapporteur on the controversy over foreign interference in Canadian elections, it is clear that the federal government’s response has been an infelicitous combination of amateurism and flimflam. As I wrote in this space on April 22, Johnston’s title of “special rapporteur” is a pretentious and misleading misnomer, the position is redundant and the prime minister’s motives in creating it and filling it as he has are suspect. And if such a role had to be confected, David Johnson is not the right person for it. Don Martin, the genial, perceptive and venerable CTV News contributor, may have gone slightly overboard when he said that Johnston’s “reputation is but a smouldering ruin.” But he is probably right that “the final chapter of (Johnston’s) report will be ripe for immediate shredding upon publication in many minds outside the inner Liberal circle … Johnston should step aside from this thankless task immediately.”

Maxime Bernier mocks Trudeau’s ‘gender equality’ minister over ‘Pansexual Visibility Day’ tweet

Maxime Bernier, the leader of the People’s Party of Canada (PPC), has again blasted gender ideology, this time ripping a Canadian federal minister for tweeting in support of “Pansexual Visibility Day.”

“Canada’s minister for women, gender equality and youth. She won’t protect the youth against the trans mutilation industry, or women against unfair competition by men in sports, or perverts in their spaces,” tweeted Bernier Wednesday.

‘You need a safe harbor – I can work with your father alone!’ The telling text Jim Biden sent to nephew Hunter suggests Joe WAS in on their business plans

Newly unearthed text messages suggest President Joe Biden may have been involved in his son and brother’s business deals with the Chinese, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Two weeks after a 2018 New York Times story exposed Hunter Biden’s connections to a corrupt Chinese Communist Party-linked oil firm CEFC, his uncle Jim Biden texted him saying: ‘you need a safe harbor’ and ‘I can work with you[r] father alone!’

The text messages, saved on Hunter’s abandoned laptop, are the latest in a growing body of evidence tying the President to Hunter’s shady overseas business deals.

Cancelling Canada Day Is the Latest Form of Cultural Dictatorship From Unelected Elites

Fireworks – A White Supremacist Activity

The city of Calgary has reversed its decision to cancel the July 1 fireworks and effectively dismiss Canada Day with it.

Port of Vancouver has not retreated from its position of terminating the fireworks.

In both cases, the decisions to cancel were made not by elected officials but unelected bureaucrats who decided Canada Day had become a source of controversy and July 1 should become something else other than recognizing Canada’s sovereignty, history, and heritage.

B.C. rest areas, park-and-rides fill with people who can’t afford a home… Trudeau Government announces fast track for immigrant family reunification

Canada is being turned into a 3rd world shithole state by the Trudeau government.

Glen Henderson has had a run of bad luck.

He sold his home during the pandemic and was priced out of the market. He lost money in a scam involving a friend. He battled depression.

“And this is where I am now,” he said Thursday, standing outside his camper at the Cole Road rest area in Abbotsford.

And the best way to deal with a housing crisis is always to make it worse.

New system will bring families of immigrants to Canada faster: Fraser

OTTAWA – Immigration Minister Sean Fraser says the government is using a new system to bring spouses, children and parents of recent immigrants to Canada more quickly.

Family members who want to move to Canada can apply to join their sponsor while they wait for their permanent residency to be approved, but they’re often denied the necessary visa because of concerns they’re unlikely to leave once it expires.

Woman Denied Transplant for Refusing COVID Vaccine Gives Emotional Testimony at National Citizens Inquiry

A woman who urgently needs an organ transplant but has been pushed to the bottom of the waiting list because doctors say she must have a COVID vaccine—something she maintains would be unsafe given her condition—told her moving story recently during testimony at the National Citizens Inquiry.

“Whatever these doctors are doing, you’re evil, there’s no other word for it,” said Sheila Lewis, speaking virtually during the National Citizens Inquiry in Ottawa on May 17.
