‘Damning’ emails show Hunter Biden laptop letter was ‘dirty campaign trick’ to hurt Trump: GOP

Republicans condemned new information exposed by the Washington Examiner that ex-intelligence leaders sought to give then-candidate Joe Biden a “talking point” in his critical 2020 debate with Donald Trump when they signed onto a letter discrediting stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

On Thursday, the Washington Examiner revealed that Mike Morell, former deputy director of the CIA, sent a recruitment email, along with a draft of the letter, to intelligence officials days ahead of the second presidential debate between Biden and Trump. In the letter, Morell admitted that one purpose of the letter, which was published Oct. 19, 2020, was to give Biden an opportunity to rebut Trump should a discussion about the “laptop from hell” come up.

Tucker, the Left, and Poor Old Canada

It’s becoming abundantly clear that with Tucker Carlson being put out to digital pasture, Fox News is falling on hard times and may come to regret its decision. Its viewership and market share are plummeting while Tucker will find “fresh woods and pastures new” in which to pursue his career of incisive reporting and unabashed truth-telling. Tucker Carlson has become a first name, which indicates that he is not simply an internet commentator but something of an institution. To believe that he is no longer a force is merely wishful thinking.

Hollywood went on shut down this week when the Writers Guild of America (WGA) enacted an industry-wide strike on both coasts after negotiations failed with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

Breitbart News attended the second day of picketing this week to hear from the writers on exactly what they hoped to achieve by striking and what they fear most if the major studios do not meet their demands. While fears of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and unfair wages were chief among their concerns, the writers had an even greater degree of fear about a disappearing middle class within the union.

Cory Morgan: CRTC Should Immediately Dismiss Activist-Based Demands to Remove Fox News

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) used to be a regulatory body established by the federal government. As of late, the CRTC has been acting as a state censorship body. That the CRTC is even considering banning the Fox News Network from Canadian distribution due to complaints from activist groups shows just how broad the CRTC feels its mandate for controlling content is.

Do we even need a CRTC nowadays?

Ukraine’s counter-offensive: The options for attack – and which is best

Ukrainian military command know their next steps could decide the war itself – gain enough momentum and a Russian collapse will follow

The upcoming Ukrainian counter-offensive has to be one of the most over-analysed military operations in history. Starting late last year, two things became clear: firstly, that both sides would conduct offensives in the spring, and secondly, that Ukraine had to make serious progress towards victory this year because US elections in 2024 could put the country’s massive military support at risk.

The Russians decided to go early with their offensive. Since January, they have been slowly grinding away in the eastern Donbas region, mostly around the non-strategic town of Bakhmut.
