Fox News Ratings Drop 56 Percent After Tucker Carlson’s Exit

In the wake of Tucker Carlson’s sudden departure this week, ratings for Fox News’s new 8 p.m. weekday show appear to be on the decline as viewership again tumbled on Wednesday night.

Data published by ratings service Nielsen show that Fox drew some 1.33 million viewers for substitute host Brian Kilmeade and “Fox News Tonight” in the timeslot that Carlson once occupied. That places the network at No. 2 behind MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.

Former Trudeau Foundation head says past leadership misled Canadians on Chinese donation

Former Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation president Pascale Fournier told MPs Friday she believes the non-profit organization’s earlier leadership misled the country by characterizing a donation from wealthy Chinese benefactors as a Canadian donation.

Ms. Fournier, who resigned her post in March, testified before the Commons ethics committee Friday on the crisis at the publicly financed foundation that arose after The Globe and Mail reported that the Chinese government had orchestrated $1-million in donations to the foundation and the University of Montreal law school in hopes of influencing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

That’s it?

Toronto mayoral candidate Anthony Furey says if elected, he’ll launch a $1-billion lawsuit against Metrolinx over the Eglinton Crosstown LRT delays.

Muslim Students Feel “Unsafe” After Koran Stomp,

An instructor was fired at Hamline for showing images of Mohammed in art class. A Persian instructor is being investigated at San Francisco State for doing the same thing. Those are both examples of Islamist student associations trying to turn blasphemy into a hate crime. But there’s an older example of that which is the claim that any desecration of the koran, an Islamic text that calls for the mass murder, enslavement and rape of non-Muslims, is a hate crime and endangers Muslims. The latest example of this took place at Wayne State U.

The threat from so-called ‘transgender’ people extends beyond children

So-called “transgenderism” was once a weird sexual-fetish activity that existed at the periphery of American society. It’s now moved front and center, something that is inordinately dangerous. Americans are beginning to understand the danger to our children from a movement that is compulsively and pathologically drawn to children, both for sexual excitement and recruitment, but people need to recognize that the so-called “transgender” crowd is also encouraging itself to be violently dangerous to all Americans.

Blasphemy Laws and ‘Hate Speech’: Free Speech at a Crossroads

The roots of oppressive censorship are one and the same. Europe’s ‘hate speech’ laws are a secular equivalent to blasphemy laws—both hinder people from living and speaking freely.

The European Parliament passed a much-needed resolution highlighting the perilous effects of some of the most dangerous free-speech restrictions on the planet—blasphemy laws. In an urgent resolution, the parliament called for the release of Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, a Nigerian musician, who was sentenced to death for sharing a message containing allegedly ‘blasphemous’ song lyrics on WhatsApp in 2020. It is high time that the international community rally around the cause to free Yahaya and end blasphemy laws.

Our military isn’t a travel agency

At that time, 15,000 Canadians were rescued from Beirut and Tyre during Hezbollah’s conflict with Israel. It was later reported later that 7,000 of that number had returned to Lebanon within a month of being evacuated. It’s estimated the cost of that exercise was $85 million.

Live-birth abortions are on the rise in Canada as part of a disturbing trend that extends to Ireland

Pat Maloney, the pro-life blogger who blogs at “Run with Life,” has another tragic update about Canada’s abortion regime.

“Last year there were 127 live-birth abortions,” she wrote. “This year there were 149. That’s an increase of 22 babies born alive after a late-term abortion. Six of these babies were greater than 29 weeks’ gestation.” Live-birth abortions are abortions where a child is born “resulting from termination of pregnancy” and then left to die. This is happening every year in Canada.
