Why Woke Companies Deliberately Alienate Their Consumers

Bud Light’s Dylan Mulvaney decision follows a corporate pattern.

I swore I’d never write a column about Dylan Mulvaney.

However, after noticing the recent battle around my third-favorite whiskey (Jack Daniel’s) being heavily advertised in my market by drag queens, I can’t help seeing him as part of a broader phenomenon. Many large American companies, especially the “manly” ones, currently seem almost intent on alienating their primary consumer bases.

Link fixed.

Fox “Parts Ways” with Tucker Carlson

Recent highlights of Carlson’s career with Fox News included interviewing Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, highlighting the damage done to young people by transgender ideology, and documenting the dangers of plastics.

A week after Fox News settled a defamation lawsuit against it by an electronic voting machine company, the right-wing news outlet and its top-rated host, Tucker Carlson have “agreed to part ways.”

Carlson, who hosted “Tucker Carlson Tonight” at 8 p.m. on weeknights, broadcast his final show on April 21st, Fox News said in a statement, and that “Fox News Tonight” will air live with rotating hosts in its place.

It’s time to take those diapers and masks off your cows

If CO2 doesn’t kill us, the climate changistas warned, methane is going to do the job. The gas, which flatulent cows commonly emit, is so dangerous that it’s imperative that we switch to an insect diet, that we switch cows to an insect diet, or, failing that, put diapers or masks on cows, or even “toilet train” them. I’m sure you won’t be shocked to learn that the hysteria about methane is wrong because the atmosphere has a self-correcting mechanism.

When a City Plagued by Crimes Votes for More Crime

A day in the life of the Left.

It was another weekend of violence and disorder in Chicago. “At least 32 shot, 8 fatally, in weekend violence across city,” read one headline on the WLS-TV news website. Another headline said, “15 arrested in connection with Loop chaos after 2 teens shot.” That story went on to report that a “large disturbance” — more accurately, a small riot — took place in the city’s downtown area. Videos of the incident showed crowds of young people jumping on cars and buses. Later, at least one person pulled out a gun.

Why the world has turned against Israel

On the 75th anniversary of Israel’s founding, the right to self-determination has fallen tragically out of favour.

Israel will start celebrating the 75th anniversary of its creation this evening. Given the hatred Israel evokes from Islamists, regional powers and Western leftists, it is remarkable it has survived for so long.

To be sure, Israel has also had substantial international support at times. From the late 1960s onwards, it could rely on America as an ally – although that backing seems to be waning today, particularly among Democrats. It is also often forgotten that left-wingers used to be staunch supporters of Israel. Indeed, from Israel’s foundation in 1948 through the 1960s, the left generally celebrated Israel as an expression of Jews’ right to national self-determination. This began to change in the 1970s, as sections of the left increasingly came to view Israel as an imperialist power. It was only in the 1990s, however, when Western elites started to reject the idea of national self-determination, that support for Israel on the left really began to erode.

‘Would Macron give up Bordeaux?’ Ukraine adviser attacks French president over peace plans

Oleksiy Danilov says it is not up to France to negotiate on behalf of Kyiv ‘behind the Ukrainian people’s backs’

Emmanuel Macron must be prepared to give away Bordeaux if he wants to negotiate on Ukraine’s behalf, one of Volodymyr Zelensky’s top advisers has said in a swipe at the French president’s plans for a peace agreement.

Oleksiy Danilov, Mr Zelensky’s national security adviser, called on the French president to halt his attempts to draw up peace deal terms with the help of China.

In an interview with the Telegraph, he said Mr Macron was “deeply wrong” if he believed he could go behind the Ukrainian people’s backs and potentially negotiate away territory like Crimea.

The way things are going in France there may be a Caliphate of Bordeaux.

Dr. Fauci Looks Back: ‘Something Clearly Went Wrong’

It was, perhaps, an impossible job. Make one man the face of public health amid an unprecedented pandemic, in a country as fractious as the United States, and there were bound to be disappointments and frustrations, and they were bound to get personal.

Still, in December, when Elon Musk joked on Twitter that his “pronouns” were “Prosecute/Fauci,” it felt like the cresting of a turning tide against the man who had played essentially that role for the first three years of the pandemic. At least 30 state legislatures have passed laws limiting public-health powers in pandemics. This January, the month after Anthony Fauci retired as the four-decade head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, barely half of Americans said they trusted the country’s public-health institutions to manage a future pandemic. The Wall Street Journal named that as his legacy — sowing distrust about public health and vaccines. Earlier in the pandemic, the leftist magazine The Drift mocked Fauci as “Doctor Do-Little,” and Representative Matt Gaetz, a Florida Republican, proposed that Fauci had “blood on his hands.” Upon the announcement of Fauci’s retirement, Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida, also a Republican, celebrated: “Grab that little elf and chuck him across the Potomac.”

“Salafist Police” Targeting Westernized European Muslims … Maybe They’ll Clash With The White Supremacist Hindu Alliance!

Some call them the Salafist police. Others say they are just ordinary extremists. Either way, they are terrorizing other Muslims in the Netherlands, radicalizing Muslim youth, and working to undermine the secular democratic system – not just in Holland, but in Belgium, France, and elsewhere across Europe.

While America seems to have largely forgotten the threat of radical Islamism, jihadism, according to Dutch intelligence agency AIVD, remains the greatest security threat for Europe. That threat exists not only in the form of terrorist violence, but in the effect of online propaganda, Salafist-run schools, intimidation on social media, and ongoing efforts at polarizing European society as Salafist groups and charismatic activists urge fellow Muslims to reject Western democratic mores.

Gettin pretty darn diverse out there.

Hindu nationalists, white supremacists join forces

Preliminary findings indicate the two extremist groups on separate continents are hooking up on social media

During Ramadan, a man attacked a mosque in Markham, Ontario, Canada. He allegedly yelled slurs, tore up a Qu’ran, and attempted to run down worshippers in his vehicle.

Some people on Twitter have raised the idea that the attacker was connected to Hindu extremist groups; however, the investigation is still ongoing.

This is one of two hate-motivated incidents at mosques in Markham in a week. Although police said they don’t believe the incidents are connected, as a researcher of online extremism I can theoretically link these events to a global trend of Islamophobic violence.

That’s some link!

Liberal campaign officials say claims about removing MP Han Dong as a candidate before election not accurate

OTTAWA — Liberal party officials said Tuesday that recently reported claims that security agencies told them to drop MP Han Dong as a candidate before the 2019 election were not accurate.

Global News reported earlier this year that national security officials warned the party that Dong was part of a foreign interference network directed from Beijing. Dong, the current MP for Don Valley North in Toronto, left the Liberal caucus after the allegations were reported and has since launched a defamation suit against Global.

Conservatives hatred of Trudeau’s lackey media is damaging their brand says lackey at Blackie’s Star

Conservatives hatred of journalism is damaging their brand

Conservatives get confused when they see a media attack on one politician as proof of partisan loyalty to another.

The first conservative to destroy his party through a hatred of journalists was, of course, Richard Nixon. The next was Donald Trump, who has delivered three defeats since his razor thin single victory, all the while ranting his denunciation of “fake news” media.

Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre appears to be genuine in his contempt for many Canadian journalists. Former Conservative Prime Minister Stephen Harper always appeared more theatrical in his, given how close he was to journalists before he won power. This hatred is, of course, dangerous for democracy, but it is also damaging the Canadian Conservatives’ brand.

When Prevent Is Worse Than the Cure

The UK’s Prevent labeled Shakespeare, Tennyson, Conrad, Chesterton, Tolkien, Chaucer, Kipling, and Milton “key texts” for “white nationalists.” Sir Kenneth Clark’s 1960s BBC TV documentary series “Civilization” was also named and shamed.

After much prevarication, in February the former Charity Commission supremo William Shawcross’s highly critical review of the government’s useless Prevent anti-terror strategy was finally released, unsurprisingly concluding that politically correct Prevent staff had applied a “double standard” towards perceived Islamist and Far-Right terrorist threats. Established in 2006 and now costing £49m per year, Prevent has apparently preferred to neglect Islamists in favour of the far easier target of conservative-minded individuals who, argued Shawcross, held views “well below the threshold of even non-violent extremism.”

Advised by alleged ‘anti-fascist’ groups whose definition of ‘fascist’ appeared to be ‘anyone who doesn’t think exactly like we do,’ Prevent drifted down the road of defining the majority of the population who voted Brexit, or consider immigration to be too high, as being at danger of becoming the next Unabomber.
