Federal Government Requested Removal of Online Content, Document Shows

Multiple federal departments and agencies have interacted with social media companies to request online content be taken down, often times to have impersonating accounts removed but also to purge posts they deemed offensive.

The Canadian government provided the information on March 27 in an Inquiry of Ministry following an order paper submitted by Conservative MP Dean Allison.

Paris breathes easier as refuse workers’ strike called off and rubbish cleared

The smell of spring is in the air in Paris. It makes a change from the stench of overflowing bins that had hung over the French capital for the last three weeks after refuse collectors went on strike and up to 10,000 metric tonnes of festering rubbish piled up on the streets.

Hours after the CGT trade union announced it was suspending the industrial action and lifting a blockade of incinerators serving the city, much of the rubbish had gone.

With the sun out and an unexpectedly warm day, it was just as well.

Pakistani Armed Groups Obtain U.S. Weapons Left Behind In Afghanistan

When the United States pulled out its forces from Afghanistan in 2021, it left behind around $7 billion worth of military equipment and weapons, including firearms, communications gear, and even armored vehicles.

The Taliban seized the arms following the fall of the Western-backed Afghan government during the chaotic U.S. withdrawal, giving the hard-line Islamist group a vast war chest.

Since the Taliban takeover, some of the American military gear and weapons have turned up in neighboring Pakistan, where they have been used by armed groups, according to experts and security officials.

Like Muslims, Trans Terrorists Are Lashing Out Due to ‘Grievances’

Once again, and despite their extreme differences, “LGBT people” and Muslims find themselves in the same boat — this time in how the establishment responds to their transgressions.

It’s only been a couple of days since the horrific murder of three children and three adults in a private Christian school in Nashville, Tenn., by a “trans person,” and already the establishment is doing what it always does when a Muslim commits an act of terrorism: show you how they, the murderers, are the real victims.

Rural France revolts over Macron’s drive for wind turbines

With its gently rolling fields, grazing cattle and chestnut trees, the Corrèze départment in central France has long been a picture of tranquillity. Yet the peace is being disturbed by bitter disputes that have followed President Macron’s drive to accelerate France’s so far slothful move into renewable energy.

“I had one of my barns set alight with my cows inside. I burnt my arm trying to get them out but I still lost nine. Later, I was told there had been outside interference,” said Jean-Luc Soustrot, 47, a cattle farmer from the village of Saint-Pardoux-la-Croisille.

Is the cult of victimhood turning violent?

Trans Resistance Movement

This week I read the most extraordinary and chilling statement. It was issued by a fringe group called the Trans Resistance Network. It was about the horrific gun attack at the Covenant School, a private Christian school, in Nashville this week.

The suspect in the attack is Audrey / Aiden Hale, a young woman who, according to the police, identified as a trans man. Hale was a former student at the Covenant School. She shot her way through the school doors and opened fire on anyone who crossed her path. Three kids, all aged just eight or nine, were killed, as well as three teachers. Eventually Hale was shot dead by cops.

Rural Scotland is dying of cold

The black dog is at the door

Lindsay lives in a council house in Kirkwall, the largest town in Orkney, a starkly beautiful archipelago off the north coast of Scotland. Now in her mid-fifties, Lindsay has lived in her one-bedroom house for 17 years. She’s tended the garden, hung her pictures on the walls. But she has no great love for the place. It’s cold and damp. Very cold. Very damp. Cold enough that she can’t sleep. Damp enough that the clothes in her wardrobe turn green with mould. And it seems like nothing she does ever helps.

‘I reported 7 to 8 guys’: Woman who joined conservative dating site reveals she sent January 6 rioters’ details to FBI

A woman is claiming she was able to infiltrate a conservative-leaning dating app and ended up reporting several profiles to the FBI for saying they’d participated in the January 6 riots.

Ryann McEnany designed the ‘invite-only’ platform, called The Right Stuff, in an attempt to help ‘young conservatives’ find ‘people that see the world the right way,’ after she said she noticed that other dating apps had ‘gone woke.’

Caitlin Berg, an ostensibly liberal woman on TikTok, said she ran a scam where she played a ‘yeehaw’d version’ of herself to get an invitation to use the app.

On the streets in Bordeaux: ‘It pains me to see our city on fire but we need to take a stand’

A crowd has gathered outside Bordeaux’s City Hall. People are taking pictures of the walls and doors, which were set on fire at the weekend. They are still standing but now blistered and black. Rony Bertrand, 60, shakes her head in dismay at the damage done to the building, which was built in the late 18th century and survived the French Revolution.

“It’s become so normal now that things are being destroyed, it sickens me,” Bertrand says. “Who’s going to pay for this? The people of Bordeaux are, that’s who.” Philippe Rouchon, 56, who works in fire prevention, says “it pains me to see this, my job is to prevent fires” – but he understands the protests, at President Emmanuel Macron pushing through a rise in the pension age to 64.

RCMP interviewing Murderous Psychopath Mohammedans held in detention camps in Syria: sources

CTV News has learned that RCMP officers are currently in northeast Syria, interviewing Canadians held in detention camps in order to bring them back to Canada. The three Mounties have so far interviewed only Canadian women in Al-Roj camp.

According to sources, RCMP are warning the women that they could face terrorism charges upon their return to Canada. Their interviews are being videotaped and could be used in future court cases.

Global Affairs Canada agreed to repatriate seven Canadian women and 19 children from Syria.

This is Justin playing identity politics with Canadian security.

Pro-Kremlin Twitter accounts ‘weaponizing’ fringe users to erode Canadians’ support for Ukraine, government funded study finds

The study tracked Russian information-warfare campaigns that it said were tailored to Canadian audiences on Twitter and what it called the “supportive ecosystems of accounts” that retweeted these messages. By 2023, it said, this included about 200,000 Twitter accounts that shared these messages with millions of Canadian users.

The underlying themes of the Kremlin-aligned messages include such ideas as: “Canada’s foreign policy is controlled by Ukrainian Canadians,” “Canadian sanctions are responsible for inflation and rising energy costs,” “Ukraine is corrupt and doesn’t deserve our support,” “NATO is responsible for the war” and Russia is “de-Nazifying Ukraine.”

So a government funded study is telling us what our opinion should be about Ukraine.

Got it.

Saudi Arabia set to join anti-West bloc with China and Russia as the US disengages with the Middle East

The kingdom’s cabinet seeks full membership of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as the US disengages with the Middle East

Saudi Arabia is joining an anti-Western influence bloc formed by Russia and China, in a sign of Riyadh’s deepening ties with Beijing as the US pivots away from the Middle East.

The kingdom’s cabinet approved a plan to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) as a “dialogue partner”, a precursor to being granted full membership, SPA, the Saudis’ state news agency, announced on Wednesday.

Formed in 2001 by Russia, China and former Soviet states in Central Asia, the SCO is a political and security bloc of countries spanning much of Eurasia and has expanded to include India and Pakistan, with a view to challenging Western influence in the region.

The State Department seems to have achieved its desire.

Developments like this lead me to believe that China’s Useful Idiot Junior is being forced out of office by a shadowy hand.

Toronto cries foul over lack of help for city in federal budget

In the wake of Tuesday’s tabling of the 2023 federal budget, Toronto’s interim mayor is accusing the federal government of ignoring the financial pleas of the country’s largest city.

Absent from Tuesday’s budget was any help to address the $933-million shortfall in the city’s budget — borne largely by expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic — a gaping hole municipal budget planners had hoped would be filled courtesy of the provincial and federal governments.

Nobody likes Toronto.
