Liberal MP Han Dong says he hasn’t verified Chinese interference allegations with PMO

Liberal MP Han Dong said Tuesday he has reached out to Canada’s security intelligence agency for more information on allegations he was part of a Chinese foreign interference network during the 2019 federal election.

But he also said he has not made a similar request to the prime minister’s office — despite Global News reporting that senior aides to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau were briefed by national security officials about the allegations against Dong three weeks before voters headed to the polls.

Christian Leuprecht: China’s insidious, longstanding effort to meddle in Canadian affairs

Blurry lines between Beijing state organs, Asian organized crime groups, select members of Canada’s mainland Chinese immigrant community and business interests are the hallmark of the CCP’s covert, coercive and corrupt influence

Beijing’s espionage and interference are now the single greatest threat to Canada’s democratic way of life. The People’s Republic of China (PRC) is intent on gaining control of Canadian critical minerals and is actively running influence campaigns over resource development. Balloons and election interference are merely the latest episode in a long list of hostile hybrid-warfare efforts perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) against Canada.

Does Jazz Jennings Regret Transitioning?

They tried to make Jazz the example of how amazing gender transition is. All they did was show how bad it is.

Parents should be arrested

The story of Jazz Jennings, whose parents began their attempts to transition him to female when he was just 5 years old, had a major impact on the acceptance of transgenderism in America. As a child who made TV appearances with Barbara Walters, Jennings was the example par excellence for the perspective that some people innately belong to the opposite gender — an argument that was made more convincing because Jennings’ parents had treated him as a girl since early childhood.

Measuring the Canadian news media’s great awokening

… Terms displaying the starkest increase in prominence between 2010 and 2021 are those relating to gender-identity prejudice, which saw a staggering 2,285 per cent increase. In contrast, terms referring to sexual orientation prejudice have actually mildly decreased in prevalence since their 2011 peak. Terms referring to sexism or Islamophobia peaked near the middle of the decade, while others, like racism or transphobia, seem to have peaked later in the decade. Notably, references to antisemitism do not display a clear upwards post-2010 trend.

Different but as nutty as the press anywhere.

What a man freed from a 241-year prison sentence finds strangest of all

When Bobby Bostic was released from prison in November, 27 years into a 241-year sentence, lots of things seemed strange.

From wireless earphones (“Why are dudes talking to themselves?”), to people talking to their speaker (“I’m like, what is Alexis?”), to self-service drink machines (“You wave your hand and the water comes out?”), the world is much changed, compared to December 1995.

But strangest of all were the people.

“It’s how friendly they are, compared to prison,” the 44-year-old says. “You go into a grocery store, and it’s ‘Sir, can I help you?’ In prison, you got nothing but mean mugs [faces] and harassment…”

Biden Administration Pushing Arabs Towards Iran

Many Arabs and Muslims are celebrating the Saudi-Iranian agreement to restore diplomatic relations as a devastating blow to the Biden Administration, a victory for Iran and China, and a sign of Washington’s failed policies in the Middle East.

According to these Arabs and Muslims, the Saudi-Iranian pact is the direct result of the Biden Administration’s antagonism towards America’s traditional Arab allies, especially Saudi Arabia, and the American policy of appeasement towards the mullahs in Iran.

‘Unconstitutional’: In Massachusetts, Leftists Want to Give Islam Privileged Status

Just in case you’re not celebrating diversity enthusiastically enough yet, here is more reason to start waving those diversity pom-poms: a new bill in Massachusetts would give Muslims privileged status. Here we see it yet again: “diversity, equity and inclusion” efforts are inherently and in always and every case a gateway to the preferential treatment of the Left’s favored groups.

Anti-abortion groups angered by ouster of candidate for Conservative nomination

Two national anti-abortion groups are raising concerns about Pierre Poilievre’s leadership after the federal Conservative party upheld the disqualification of a candidate for a party nomination in Ontario although he was backed by five MPs.
