San Franciscans line up at board meeting to sing and shout their support for a reparations plan to give every black resident $5M, wipe personal debt, provide $97K incomes and homes for just $1 – and no one asks how the city will foot the bill

San Francisco residents lined up at a city board meeting last night to share their full-throated support of a wide-eyed reparations plan that would award every black resident $5million, wipe their personal debt, guarantee $97,000 incomes for 250 years and $1 homes.

But no one at the emotional meeting – where residents burst into song and begged to be made ‘whole’ – asked how the struggling, debt-addled city might pay for it.

Reparations are being considered in various Democratic cities around America as a means of providing compensation to the descendants of enslaved African-Americans.

Oscar Is Officially Dead – Third-Lowest Ratings in History

With a pathetic 18.7 million viewers, it’s official: the Academy Awards are doornail dead.

It’s over.

There’s no coming back from this.

Two of the biggest movies in history were in this year’s Oscar hunt — Avatar: Way of the Water and Top Gun: Maverick. Still, fewer than 20 million tuned in.

There used to a buffer between “The Stars” and their public, access was controlled.

Social media has made it much easier to be disgusted with Hollywood and Celebrities. That’s a good thing.

Signature Bank execs starred in cringey Broadway-style musical sketch video

Executives at the doomed Signature Bank produced a Broadway-style musical video to launch the firm in the early 2000s — and its song branded the bank “the stupidest idea I ever heard” and even quipped that it could “diminish and fail.”

Clips of the musical number — now dripping with irony after regulators stepped in over the weekend and took control of the New York-based firm in a bid to stave off a US banking crisis — resurfaced online and went viral this week.

Canada Weighs Need for New Submarines as US, Britain Push Forward on Nuclear Fleets

The clock is ticking for the Canadian military to decide whether to replace its submarines, as Canada’s closest allies push ahead with plans to build new fleets.

The Royal Canadian Navy launched a push to replace the country’s four Victoria-class submarines nearly two years ago by creating a special team to figure out what Canada needs in a new fleet.

The move came in response to growing concerns about the age of Canada’s existing submarines and the amount of time needed to design and build such vessels.

Liberals block opposition efforts to call PM’s chief of staff over Beijing election interference

Full of shit.

Opposition MPs accused Justin Trudeau of a coverup as Liberal MPs continued a filibuster to block the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, Katie Telford, from testifying before a Commons committee studying China’s interference activities in Canadian democracy.

MPs on the procedure and House affairs committee met Tuesday during the March parliamentary break to debate an NDP motion to call Ms. Telford to explain what she and the Prime Minister knew about Chinese election interference and what they did to stop it.

The New Enclosure: Rise of the Jail-Cell City

Cities are becoming more prominent as key partners in policy formulation and implementation.

We see this in the EU. The “Technical Support Initiative” financial assistance managed by the EU’s Directorate-General for Reform (DG REFORM) is set to service multi-country projects in which there is a need for city involvement. The European Semester, the EU’s monitor for economic and social policies, has also increased its focus on cities, with its most recent iteration including more data on local government. We find the same emphasis on cities in the EU’s criteria for accession countries in the Balkans, which is requiring reforms of public administration meant to empower the local level.

Joe Biden should listen to the BMJ on trans guidance

The President is confused about medical interventions for young people

I don’t suppose President Biden reads the British Medical Journal. If he did, he might not be so keen on defending all sorts of invasive procedures for children with gender dysphoria, including surgery. In a ground-breaking editorial, the BMJ has acknowledged that US guidance for treatment of young people is not based on evidence.

Joe Biden is a senile pervert.

Meta to Lay Off Another 10,000 Workers

Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, said on Tuesday that it planned to lay off about 10,000 employees, or roughly 13 percent of its work force, the latest move to hew to what the company’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, has called a “year of efficiency.”

The layoffs will affect Meta’s recruiting team this week, with a restructuring of its tech and business groups to come in April and May, Mr. Zuckerberg said in a memo posted on the company’s website. The announcement is the company’s second round of cuts within the past half year. In November, Meta laid off more than 11,000 people, or about 13 percent of its work force at the time.

Honestly this whole Metaverse crap sounds like 3D movies, the novelty wears off real quick.

We still through some weird miracle have an FB page but we are as always hanging by a thread.

We have been so throttled it is a wonder anyone can even find us.

FB was always shitty for us, constant censorship for our constant violations of community guidelines which translates you upset the Gay Muslim Mask Advocates.
