The 4-metre-wide board detailing the entire Russian military chain of command in Ukraine

Chart used by Ukrainian prosecutors maps hundreds of Russian soldiers all the way up to Vladimir Putin

For more than a year, Russian jets have been pounding Ukrainian cities, destroying hospitals and apartment blocks, while Moscow’s troops on the ground have been accused of executing civilians. Flooded with evidence of Russian war crimes, Ukrainian prosecutors moved swiftly.

Kyiv has compiled hundreds of dossiers, naming more than 600 Russians – many of them high-ranking political and military officials – as suspects. The suspects range from senior officials including the defence minister, Sergei Shoigu, to a lesser-known colonel believed to be responsible for some of the most brutal aerial attacks on Ukraine.

Heaps of rubbish draw rats (and tourists) in Paris

Mounds of rotting rubbish and scampering rats have become a subject of tourist photography on the ninth day of a strike by Parisian bin collectors who are protesting against President Macron’s move to raise the retirement age.

Visitors are turning their cameras on piles of malodorous bin bags that block the view of Notre Dame cathedral and spoiling the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower on the Trocadéro esplanade. Ministers have accused the council of doing nothing to remove the 5,800 tonnes of rubbish that are littering the pavements.

Why the Dutch farmers’ revolt matters

They are fighting back against the green elite’s campaign of immiseration.

‘Farming is a profession of hope’, said Canadian poet and writer Brian Brett. So when farmers use their tractors in anger, it shows just how desperate things have become. That appears to be the case in the Netherlands, where thousands of Dutch farmers and their supporters descended on the nation’s political capital, the Hague, last Saturday.

Ottawa proffered millions of dollars up-front for armoured vehicles still undelivered

OTTAWA — The Canadian government contracted with a U.S.-based military supplier to buy 76 armoured Toyota Land Cruisers for its diplomatic missions around the world in 2018. Five years later, only 33 have been received and it appears that the government has paid millions of dollars up-front for vehicles that have not yet been delivered.

That kind of “deal making” smacks of palms being greased.

Trudeau has ‘inspired a lot of suspicion’ about election results, Poilievre says

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre said Tuesday the Liberal government’s inaction on alleged election meddling by China has some Canadian voters wondering whether recent election results can be trusted.

Speaking to reporters after a drug-related announcement in B.C., Poilievre said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has “inspired a lot of suspicion” because of his refusal to answer detailed questions about China’s role in the 2019 and 2021 election campaigns.

Poilievre said Chinese interference was known at the highest levels of government but was “kept hidden” until “courageous whistleblowers” leaked national security intelligence to the press.

It’s evident that Trudeau and the Liberal party are compromised.

Communist China has an effective network of useful idiots and fellow travelers well embedded.

Who’s up for mass deportations and confiscation of assets of the guilty ChiComs?

Why Bank Runs Happen—and What We Can Do to Stop the Panic

“It turned out that one of the biggest risks to our business model was catering to a very tightly knit group of investors who exhibit herd-like mentalities.” — Silicon Valley Bank senior executive

You are allowed to yell “fire!” in a crowded theater. Contrary to a popular myth, there is no U.S. law stopping you.

This past weekend, in our 21st-century theater—Twitter—economists and venture capitalists were screaming it at the top of their lungs, warning the rest of us about the meltdown of Silicon Valley Bank and the broader panic they were sure it portended.

Canadians uninterested in King Charles’ coronation, British monarchy, survey suggests

New polling results suggest Canadians are largely indifferent to King Charles, and more than half believe his May 6 coronation is the right time for the country to reconsider its ties with the monarchy.

The web survey of 1,544 adults released Tuesday by market research firm Leger indicates many Canadians are greeting the ascension of Charles to the throne with a shrug.

I don’t think Charles gives a damn.

Tasha Kheiriddin: Jagmeet Singh must pull support for Justin Trudeau’s Liberals

Is this the beginning of the end for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau? The knives are out, and the cuts are coming fast and furious. Not a day goes by without another accusation of political interference by the Chinese communist regime, in not just federal but now also provincial politics. Interference also goes beyond politics and into academia and business. The Chinese Communist Party, for example, trains scholarship students to “avoid detection by authorities” and steal sensitive technology, the Globe and Mail reported Monday.

Frankie Champagne won’t say how much VW is gettin paid for that new EV Battery plant… Bet it’s more than their emissions scandal fine

Frankie Champagne takes a long time to not answer the question. VW was fined 219 Million for the Emissions Scandal back in 2019, bet they made it all back.

The Green-Scam always seems to involve using tax-payer money to pay for things the market would if they made economic sense.

Iran, China and the Panama Canal: Is the US Being Encircled?

Iran and China are on the move again. Last Friday, to the apparent surprise of the Biden Administration, China asserted its influence in the Middle East by entering the vacuum created by US President Joe Biden, and brokering a deal between Iran and its threatened neighbor, Saudi Arabia, which Biden had vowed to make a “pariah,” and “end the sale of material” to it. The Saudis heard.

Iran, meanwhile, has not been shy about its mission to “export the revolution” to the Western hemisphere. Most recently, in February, two Iranian warships docked in Brazil, under its recently elected socialist President Luis Inácio Lula da Silva. From there, the ships will reportedly proceed to the Panama Canal, already controlled at both ends by Iran’s newish ally — the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Russia accuses West of misinformation over Nord Stream blasts

Russia does not know who was behind the blasts that damaged the Nord Stream pipelines, one of President Putin’s leading allies said as he mocked media reports that said a pro-Ukrainian group was responsible.

“We still do not know for certain who exactly was the author and the perpetrator of the Nord Stream explosions,” Nikolai Patrushev, the head of Russia’s national security council, said.

Senior officials in Moscow have accused Britain and the United States of being behind the damage to the Kremlin funded pipelines. Last year Putin has blamed “Anglo-Saxon” powers.
