Those sheltering in the transit system worry about their safety amid the recent spate of TTC violence

With few shelter options available, homeless people are turning to subway stations, trains, buses and streetcars.

Last October, for the first time in his life, Dan Watson was “nameless.”

He was sleeping on Toronto subway cars and in coffee shops. For one whole month, nobody called him by his name. “You don’t feel like you belong,” he said this past week, bundled in a beanie and a winter coat during a drop-in program at All Saints Church.

They should form a union.

Canada’s government poised to move closer to ending free speech

Many people still sneer at Justin Trudeau for his silly costumes; soft-spoken, even boyish, demeanor; and overt love for all leftist tropes, whether racial, sexual, religious, or anything else. Those people are fools. Trudeau is a dangerous man who is rapidly creating a totalitarian government that grants rights only to those who march in lockstep with Trudeau’s leftist political and social beliefs.

The court document detailed how surviving roommate Dylan Mortensen came face to face with a masked man on the night of the murders.

In March 2023, patients suffering from conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, or any other mental affliction will gain access to the lethal injection.

SECOND mega earthquake hits Turkey, hours after record 7.8-magnitude tremor kills 1,500 people

Turkey has been hit by a second massive earthquake, hours after an earlier catastrophic quake devastated the region, killing more than 1,500 people and injuring thousands more, while toppling thousands of buildings.

The second quake hit at 1:24 pm (1024 GMT), two-and-a-half miles south-southeast of the town of Ekinozu and around 60 miles north of the first quake that wrought devastation across Turkey and Syria, and as rescue workers continued their efforts.

The 7.5 magnitude trembler struck as hundreds were still believed to be trapped under rubble as a result of the first, and the toll was expected to rise as rescue workers searched mounds of wreckage in cities and towns across the area.

‘It’s Our Central Park’: Uproar Rises Over Location of New Toronto Homes

TORONTO — Spreading across two million acres, Toronto’s Greenbelt is a vast swath of protected and ecologically sensitive lands that forms an arc around the city and its suburbs, as if holding Canada’s most populous and fastest-growing region in an embrace.

“It’s our Central Park,” said Jeff Bowers, 57, recently retired from a “high-stress, 24/7” job in technology, who was hiking recently in one corner of the Greenbelt. “The Greenbelt was declared, it was decreed. It had a sacredness to it. Now, the current government is tinkering with that, and that’s creating a lot of uproar. You can imagine if they said they were going to develop Central Park.”

Yet this is what is happening in Toronto.

My God that man needs a sedative.

Part two, titled “Anyone who wants to start a war has to lie,” begins with the testimony of the creator of the docuseries — Holocaust survivor Vera Sharav — relaying how she first started to become skeptical of the pharmaceutical industry after her son’s unexpected death from a prescription medication known as Clozaril — an antipsychotic drug used to treat schizophrenia and related disorders.

Examining America’s War in Iraq After 20 Years

On March 20, 2003, what was officially one of America’s shorter wars began with an airstrike on Saddam Hussein’s presidential palace in Baghdad. U.S. armed forces, 160,000 strong, moved out of Kuwait and across Iraq, and after overcoming a few small roadblocks along the way took the capital city within three weeks. On May 1, President George W. Bush declared victory from the deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, off the coast of San Diego. With combat over, “our coalition is engaged in securing and reconstructing that country,” Bush said. “In this battle, we have fought for the cause of liberty, and for the peace of the world.”

Congress is set to expose what may be the largest censorship system in U.S. history

This coming week a new House select subcommittee will hold its first hearing on the FBI and the possible “weaponization” of government agencies. A variety of such controversies have contributed to plunging public trust in government and the FBI in particular.

The role of the FBI in prior scandals will remain a point of heated debate in Congress. However, members of both parties should be able to agree on the need to investigate one of the most serious allegations: Censorship by surrogate.

The Power-Mad Utopians

America needs a broad popular front to stop the revolution from above that is transforming the country

“… To say that these were utopian projects does not imply that they did not address genuine problems. For example, following 9/11, Washington had to respond to the transnational terrorist threat. But the U.S. did not have to topple Saddam Hussein and Moammar Gadhafi, nor remain in Afghanistan for two decades after al-Qaida’s local base was disrupted. Preventing terrorist attacks on the U.S. did not require President George W. Bush to declare in his second inaugural address that all nondemocratic regimes everywhere must be subverted and overthrown and that “it is the policy of the United States to seek and support the growth of democratic movements and institutions in every nation and culture, with the ultimate goal of ending tyranny in our world.” This was utopianism at its most deranged and dangerous.”

Dr John Money and the sinister origins of gender ideology

How a cruel, amoral experiment helped birth today’s trans movement.

We are all too familiar today with the basics of trans ideology. That biological sex does not determine one’s ‘gender identity’. That someone born biologically male can become female. And that we need to affirm a person’s ‘gender identity’, even if that person is a small child. What few perhaps realise is that the intellectual origins of so much of trans ideology can be traced back to the work of one man – sexologist and psychologist Dr John Money (1921-2006).

The missing persons conundrum. An underreported tragedy

The Boston Globe ran a very good deep-dive yesterday into one aspect of American law enforcement that tragically impacts far too many families and for which there don’t seem to be any obvious solutions. Hanna Krueger examined the phenomenon of missing persons and the scattershot way that police departments across the country investigate and very often fail to solve such cases.
