The Boy or Girl? gallery, featuring a fake penis and chest binders, was removed after objections it was ‘not science’
The Science Museum has dismantled a trans-inclusive display following complaints it was pushing “propaganda” and not biology.
A cabinet titled Boy Or Girl? displayed quotes describing the transition from the “wrong body” as a “hero’s journey”, and labels characterising gender as something “difficult to define” which “may not match your biological sex”.
The display which featured a fake penis and chest-binding equipment has been taken down by the museum following complaints the information provided was “not science, but propaganda”.

Defence industry worried about Canada’s absence from American-British-Australian pact
OTTAWA – An association representing Canadian defence firms is adding its voice to those concerned that Canada is not included in a security pact between Australia, Britain and the United States.
Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries president Christyn Cianfarani says one worry is that Canada won’t have access to the same technology as its closest allies.
There are also fears the arrangement will hurt Canadian defence companies by making it easier for competitors from Australia and Britain to sell to the U.S.

So-called deaths of despair such as from suicide or alcohol abuse have been skyrocketing for middle-aged white Americans.
It’s been blamed on various phenomenon, including opioid abuse. But a new research paper finds a different culprit — declining religious practice.
The working paper, from Tyler Giles of Wellesley College, Daniel Hungerman of the University of Notre Dame, and Tamar Oostrom of The Ohio State University, looked at the relationship between religiosity and mortality from deaths of despair. The paper was circulated by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

“Get woke, go broke.” It’s a phrase people coined to describe the failure of Hollywood’s recent politics-drenched efforts at blockbuster films, from which viewers stayed away in droves. But now it applies to another field: higher education.
College and graduate degrees were comparatively rare before about 1970. People could be quite successful without them, and there was little stigma attached to their absence.
