The attack one week ago on two substations in Moore County, N.C., resulted in the loss of power to 45,000 people and raised questions about the security of America’s power grid.
And when further attacks in North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington, and Oregon were revealed, those questions have now become urgent. Are the attacks — all involving gunfire targeting substations — unrelated pranks, or are they connected to a plot of some kind?

A Manhattan man is facing charges in relation to a violent clash at the New York Public Library, which saw him clash with protesters boycotting a drag reading event for kids, and an undercover cop that had been deployed there to keep the peace.
The incident transpired Saturday at the main branch of the Big Apple’s storied library system, where kids aged 3 to 9 had been gathered to attend a ‘Drag Story Hour’ event presided over by library officials and local drag queens.
The event, like other similar processions that have surfaced across the country, drew unwanted criticism – in this case from members of a local conservative group, who gathered as the children were sectioned off safely in another room.
“I’ve opened a number of stories talking about how tough a job law enforcement has. I grew up around it and heard all the “war stories” of my father’s fellow officers.”

A neo-Nazi paramilitary group linked to the Kremlin has asked its members to submit intelligence on border and military activity in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, raising concerns over whether far-right Russian groups are planning an attack on Nato countries.
The official Telegram channel for “Task Force Rusich” – currently fighting in Ukraine on behalf of the Kremlin and linked to the notorious Wagner Group – last week requested members to forward details relating to border posts and military movements in the three Baltic states, which were formerly part of the Soviet Union.
The news has prompted questions over who has overall command over the far-right pro-Kremlin groups fighting in Ukraine.
House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy said that as Speaker of the House, he would issue subpoenas for the 51 intelligence officials who signed a letter weeks before the 2020 election claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story looked like Russian disinformation.
During a Fox interview over the weekend, McCarthy – who will likely become the lower chamber’s next leader – said Republicans, under his leadership, will ‘bring the (the intelligence agents) before committee’ and ask them ‘why did they lie to the American public?’
‘Those 51 intel agents that signed a letter that said the Hunter Biden information was all wrong – was Russia collusion – many of them have a security clearance,’ he said.

Prince Heinrich XIII was arrested this week as the suspected ringleader of a plan to overthrow the German government. Nostalgic for an imperial past, he embraced far-right conspiracy theories.
The crenelated hunting lodge of Prince Heinrich XIII of Reuss sits atop a steep hill, looking out over homes laced with snow and Christmas lights in Bad Lobenstein. Popular with the local mayor and many nearby villagers, the prince spent his weekends in the spa town, giving an aristocratic flair to this sleepy corner of rural eastern Germany.
But there was a darker side to his idyll.
Heinrich XIII, prosecutors and intelligence officials say, also used his lodge to host meetings where he and a band of co-conspirators plotted to overthrow of the German government and execute the chancellor. In the basement, the group stored weapons and explosives. In the forest that sloped beneath the lodge, they sometimes held target practice.
Last July, following a 3-hour call with with the German firebrand MEP Christine Anderson, I published the article, “A small short: the coming collapse of the air travel industry,” about the strange epidemic of travel chaos at airports around the western world. The contention from three industry insiders on that call was that the chaos was being deliberately orchestrated to destroy the air travel industry. They presented detailed and compelling evidence for their contention.
Of course, any such conspiracy theorizing tends to elicit raised eyebrows among the normies. Evidence or no evidence, they reject whatever can’t be linked to “credible sources” in legacy media (by contrast, they’ll accept the official narratives even on statements attributed to unnamed officials). The dismissal of any suggestion that there might be a planned agenda to destroy an entire industry usually leads with the question, “who would do such a thing?“
Twitter CEO Elon Musk slammed former CEO Jack Dorsey on the platform late this week over the reported lack of action that the company took against removing child porn from the site.
Musk’s remarks came in response to several members of Twitter’s “Trust and Safety Council” resigning from the company because they claimed that Musk was making the platform less safe.
The tweet, posted by Anne Collier, Founder and Executive Director of The Net Safety Collaborative, generated a response from political commentator Mike Cernovich, who tweeted at her, “You all belong in jail.”

RCMP foreign interference investigators visit B.C. friendship society
RCMP national security officers investigating China’s foreign interference activities in Canada were at the headquarters of a Richmond, B.C. non-profit group on Saturday.
The RCMP’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team conducted interviews at the Wenzhou Friendship Society and in the surrounding neighbourhood.
More people, per capita, are dying with medical assistance (MAID) in Quebec than anywhere else in the world, according to Quebec’s commission on end-of-life care.
Since the start of the pandemic, requests for the procedure have more than doubled — from 1,774 in 2019-2020 to 3,663 in 2021-22.
The increase means the percentage of people who chose MAID in Quebec is greater than in Belgium and the Netherlands, where it has been legal for decades. It has been legal in Quebec since 2015.
