Italy is about to have its first female leader and the American left is furious. Giorgia Meloni grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Rome and was raised by a single mother, after her father, a communist, fled to the Canary Islands and was later convicted of drug trafficking in Mallorca. She wrote in her autobiography that her mother planned to have an abortion when she was pregnant with her but changed her mind at the last minute. Meloni worked as a nanny, a waitress, and a bartender before getting into politics, but she’s no AOC.

The Need for Real Leadership: The Cost of Not Supporting Ukraine

U.S. President Joe Biden is known for making confusing and sometimes wild pronouncements that his administration is known for frequently walking back. This might have been the case when he randomly decided to tell an audience of well-heeled Democrats at a fundraiser that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “not joking” about using nuclear, biological or chemical weapons. “We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon,” he added, “since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis.”

Biden has since refused to clarify his remarks or explain on what he was basing them. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby took to the Sunday shows to clarify that the president was not saying an attack was imminent and this his “comments were not based on new or fresh intelligence or new indications that Mr. Putin has made a decision to use nuclear weapons.”

Julio Loace was 24 when, in the summer of 1962, soldiers from Havana turned up at his sleepy rural village to say he and his family had to leave the plot of land where they reared cows and planted black beans. A house would be built for them, he was told, beyond a new perimeter.

Soon after, lorries hauling ominous objects as long as trees drove through his village under cover of darkness. The ground trembled under their weight.

“They were huge,” Loace, now 86, said from a rocking chair while chickens pecked outside his house. “Nobody had ever seen equipment so big.”

While special counsel John Durham’s prosecution of Steele dossier source Igor Danchenko appears to be headed toward acquittal, Durham has used the trial to make public a number of revelations that cast the entire Trump-Russia collusion narrative in a fresh light.

Most prominently, Durham revealed that on Oct. 3, 2016, the FBI had offered dossier author Christopher Steele up to $1 million to provide any information, physical evidence, or documentary evidence that could back up the claims in his dossier. But despite the huge reward on offer, Steele did not provide any such information.

When You Outsource Printing to China, Communists Censor Your Books

The book publishing industry, especially on the lower end, has taken to outsourcing cheaper and smaller print runs to Communist China. While print-on-demand was supposed to revolutionize publishing, instead what we have tended to see are smaller presses, vanity presses and smaller-scale projects being routed through to China. Most of the big publishers still handle their big projects in America, but some have begun moving children’s books offshore to China. And when you do that, China gets to decide what can be printed.

Do recent laws allow the government to use biosurveillance to target Americans?

This article discusses two main subjects: 1. recent laws which suggest the U.S. federal government may be using invasive surveillance (“biosurveillance”) technologies on Americans and 2. requiring covert methods, technologies, and personnel of the FBI, local covert police, and other secret police or intelligence entities in America to be publicized. The article provides the information in one location rather than separating into multiple articles. There is no medical advice in this article.

Before beginning the main subjects, it is necessary to emphasize some differences. There are covert local police, other covert law enforcement like the FBI, covert government intelligence entities, and possibly a large secret police entity in America whose main responsibility is covert, organized, and coordinated stalking of targeted persons within communities with the intent to “destroy” or remove the targets from society, potentially through directly or indirectly causing the targeted person’s death, which will be explained in a moment.

Douglas Todd: Hate crimes against Catholics almost tripled. Do Canadians care?

The Canadian Catholic church and its members, many of whom are Indigenous or immigrants, were last year buffeted by a horrendous 260 per cent spike in hate crimes.

Catholics were subject to a far higher escalation in police-reported hate incidents than any other religious or racial group, according to a Statistics Canada study.

Justin Trudeau jumped on the Fake Graves Bandwagon making he and his government complicit in this hate crime.

This Is Why Growing Racial Discrimination Is So Dangerous

The trend, spurred on by the vice president, tears at our already tenuous social fabric.

Vice President Kamala Harris recently told an audience that the federal government must focus on “equity” when dispersing resources related to natural disasters and climate change. She specifically highlighted lower-income communities, minorities, and women.

While the exact meaning of her comments is being debated, Harris’ statements rightfully raised eyebrows, as one would hope that the federal government would only consider need, not gender or race, when deciding how to divvy up aid. Harris’ reckless choice of words is inexcusable, as it has the potential to cause panic in communities devastated by disaster and sow division in the face of tragedies that should otherwise unite people around a common cause.

Once cannabis legalization started being taken seriously a decade ago, the majority of liberal Americans supported it. It just seemed like common sense. No longer would pot users have to rely on street dealers, so criminal organizations would wither away. At the same time, states would benefit from billions in tax revenue. Booze, after all, was once held under the thumb of prohibition in the US, bringing about thirteen years of black market activity and gang violence, which all ended when prohibition was repealed in 1933. The alcohol trade is now one of the leading earners in America and contributes roughly $260 billion to the economy. Why would marijuana be any different?
