Russian President Vladimir Putin granted citizenship to former US security contractor Edward Snowden on Monday.
Putin signed a decree offering Snowden citizenship, making him one of 75 foreign nationals to have been offered the path to citizenship by Russia.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre is denouncing a video in which two men joke about sexually assaulting his wife, calling the pair “dirtbags” and indicating his office has referred the matter to the RCMP.
Mr. Poilievre was responding to comments made in a livestream that appeared on social media on the weekend. In it, Jeremy Mackenzie, founder of Diagolon, says he wants to rape Anaida Poilievre; Morgan May laughs in response.

OSLO, Sept 26 (Reuters) – Norwegian police said on Monday two men had been arrested on Sunday on suspicion of involvement in a mass shooting that killed two people and wounded 21 in and around an Oslo gay bar in June.
A Somali citizen in his 40s and a Norwegian one in his 30s, each with prior involvement in criminal activity, were arrested by police on Sunday, Oslo police said in a statement.
Police last week said its hypothesis that the shooting was an act of terrorism had been strengthened during its investigation.

New Mexico prosecutors have indicated they may charge Alec Baldwin over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust last year, after the actor handed over his cellphone to be considered as evidence.
In a letter to the state’s financial board, asking for funding to prosecute the high profile case, Santa Fe District Attorney District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies said she was ‘ready’ to file charges against four people.
She stopped short of confirming the charges she planned to bring, but said was ‘certainly looking all the homicide statutes and any gun statutes under New Mexico criminal code’.
