Hysteria At The Star: Which Poilievre will show up? The polarizing figure who has debased civilized political discourse? Or a leader with a plan

Editorial board

The path to choosing the next leader of the federal Conservative party has been a long, often strange journey.

It has featured the sacking of a challenger by the party brass, a candidate who refused to debate unless she was asked questions she wanted to answer, another debate which featured a sad trombone and a former leader and top contender playing The Newlywed Game with his spouse of 42 years.

Debased political discourse? This from the toady media that daily fellates Trudeau.

Canada’s convoy movement waved the Dutch flag. Then conspiracy theories swirled about fertilizer and bugs

Over the summer, supporters of the Freedom Convoy movement have continued to hold anti-mandate demonstrations across the country, attracting anywhere from a few dozen to several hundred people in places like Sudbury, Ont., Acheson, Alta., and Regina.

Like the protests in Ottawa last winter, these smaller demonstrations featured big rigs, pickup trucks and honking — though they tended to last only a few hours and kept to parking lots or slow-moving convoys on highways.

But they also featured a new — and perhaps surprising — symbol: The flag of the Netherlands was being waved alongside the more familiar Maple Leaf and F–k Trudeau banners.

I am grateful to see that F*ck Trudeau banners are recognized as part of the political landscape.

The CBC is in full “Scare Mode”. All “right wing media” in Canada are spreaders of crazy conspiracy theories harmful to the national fabric crafted by Justin the Savior.

Uvalde school board fires police chief after mass shooting

UVALDE, Texas (AP) — The Uvalde school district fired police chief Pete Arrendondo on Wednesday, making him the first officer to lose his job over the hesitant and fumbled response by law enforcement at Robb Elementary School as a gunman killed 19 students and two teachers in a fourth-grade classroom.

In a unanimous vote that arrived after months of angry calls for his ouster, the Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District’s board of trustees fired Arredondo in an auditorium of parents and survivors of the May 24 massacre. His ouster came three months to the day after one of the deadliest classroom shootings in U.S. history.

Canadian veterans offered assisted suicide to cope with combat traumas

For a profession that purports to believe in a principle of “do no harm,” the modern medical community seems to perpetually undermine legitimate healthcare. Physicians under the sway of Hegelian ethics — whatever solves a problem on a practical level must be moral, as no action on its own is right or wrong — propose harmful (or lethal) remedies to accomplish a desired end.

Pedophiles Are Proliferating in Our Schools

10% of our nation’s students are victims of sexual abuse by educators.

In the social hierarchy of prison inmates, mob bosses, bank robbers, and cop killers tend to get respect. But “short eyes,” those convicts who have committed crimes against children, especially sexual abuse, are hated, harassed, and abused. In schools, however, this group of detestable perverts rates a “meh.”

The numbers are stunning. A report prepared for the U.S. Department of Education in 2004 revealed that nearly 9.6% of students are victims of sexual abuse by school personnel, and these are just the reported cases.

Trump Derangement Won’t End with Trump

Already, progressives are branding the GOP’s next generation as “a threat to democracy”—sound familiar?

Several days before the 2016 presidential election, the comedian-cum political commentator Bill Maher made an extraordinary admission to his audience. In the past, he said, he’d heaped derision on Republican candidates and officeholders like George W. Bush, John McCain, and Mitt Romney, portraying them as extremists. “We attacked your boy Bush as if he was the end of the world,” he told former presidential speechwriter David Frum, “and he wasn’t.” Maher spoke of giving President Obama $1 million to defeat Romney because he feared him so much. But “Mitt Romney wouldn’t have changed my life that much,” he admitted in 2016. For years, Maher said, liberals like himself had been “crying wolf” about Republicans, including “honorable men” like Bush and McCain. But the 2016 election, and Donald Trump, were different. “Once fascists get power, they don’t give it up,” Maher said, as he pleaded for votes against Trump.

Adam Zivo: Justin Trudeau’s reprehensible jab at pro-Taiwanese diplomacy

Last Friday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said during a news conference that his government will ensure that Canadian parliamentarians planning to visit Taiwan as part of an upcoming trade mission “reflect” on the “consequences” of their visit. Trudeau’s euphemistic jab at pro-Taiwanese diplomacy was reprehensible, undermining the independence of Canada’s parliamentary associations and tacitly validating China’s threat this week to punish Canadians should the visit occur.

According to Noella’s parents, the child began expressing gender dysphoria around age 2.

The Twitter whistleblower proves Elon Musk right

Peiter Zatko’s leaked documents reveal chaos inside the company

For anyone who has felt the many frustrations of being on Twitter, from the relentless hostility to the adolescent cliques, a new set of leaks from Twitter’s former head of security should offer some consolation: at least you don’t work there. The documents, released by Peiter “Mudge” Zatko and obtained by the Washington Post and CNN, portray a terrifyingly dysfunctional state of affairs at the company largely responsible for administering online public discourse.

Whistleblower claims FBI leaders ordered staff not to investigate Hunter Biden laptop

The FBI deliberately dragged its feet on the Hunter Biden investigation and told agents not to look into the Hunter Biden laptop, according to new whistleblowers who spoke with Sen. Ron Johnson.

Johnson, R-Wisc., sent a letter to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on Tuesday bringing forth the new whistleblower claims.

‘Recently, my office heard from individuals with knowledge of the FBI’s apparent corruption,’ Johnson said.

Biden’s unforgivable student loan authoritarianism

The president doubles down on a fundamentally anti-democratic approach to governance

The frame for virtually any discussion of American politics at the moment advanced by the hair-on-fire segment of our media elite is that democracy itself is under attack. We are surrounded, according to the likes of CNN’s Brian Stelter (peace be upon him), by those who would tear down the foundations upon which the government and ordered law of the United States of America stands, in a frontal illiberal assault on the institutions that keep us free. Fear the QAnon Shaman and his Viking hat! We all remember how close he came to ruling us all astride the floor of Congress.

From Clitoridectomy to Chemical Castration: Call the Left’s Sadism What It Is

Children are being exploited and their bodies mutilated, all to serve leftist ideology.

Throughout history, children and their innocence have been used to serve sadistic adults’ ends. America in 2022 is no different. This enlightened generation features a new, proliferating business: chemical castration, genital mutilation, and body mutilation of underage children intended to reassign the gender of the child. None of these procedures are medically necessary. All of them must be enabled and encouraged by predatory medical professionals and, worst of all, by parents.

‘Money Mules’: Foreign Students Tied to Money Laundering in Canada, Says FINTRAC Report

Some international students are implicated in money laundering activities for organized criminal networks operating in Canada, according to the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), which named students from China and Hong Kong.

A FINTRAC report released in May says underground banking—informal value transfer systems (IVTS) that help parties in different jurisdictions transmit money—is carried out in three main hubs in Canada: the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), metro Vancouver, and the Calgary-Edmonton corridor.

Kiwi climber given $1m medical bill after 80ft plunge in California

A tourist from New Zealand said she was thankful to be alive after breaking almost every bone in her body in a fall while climbing in California.

Anna Parsons, a 21-year-old-student, fell about 80ft (25m) from the Half Dome rock face in Yosemite National Park after her foot slipped. She broke her neck, spine, pelvis and three ribs while the injuries to her left foot were so severe that it had to be amputated.
