Canada just missed possibly one of the greatest opportunities in its history

It could well represent one of the biggest missed opportunities in Canadian history: An embattled Europe is clamouring for natural gas, and one of the world’s biggest producers of the stuff can’t sell it to them.

The economic hit is overwhelming: At current prices, even just one Canadian port exporting liquid natural gas could be adding nine figures to the Canadian GDP each day. Politically, Canada could be helping to deal a body blow to Russian hegemony over Western European energy. Instead, on both fronts, Ottawa appears content to watch from the sidelines.

At least 15 killed in Russian strike on rail station on Ukraine’s independence day

At least 15 people have been killed and 50 wounded in a Russian rocket strike on a Ukrainian railway station, as the country marked six months since Moscow’s invasion on a sombre independence day overshadowed by warnings of further “brutal” attacks.

Addressing the UN late on Wednesday, Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said the rockets struck a train in a station in the town of Chaplyne, about 145km (90 miles) west of Donetsk in eastern Ukraine.

Congress implies that UFOs are “non-human” in origin

While it’s easy to lose track of this subject when the members of Congress (and the media) have so much else on their plates these days, the House and the Senate have continued to work on new legislative language regarding the Pentagon’s investigation into the strange objects being seen in the skies over our restricted military airspace. But it’s no longer just the skies.

Of late I have become interested in the Military’s history of UFO encounters starting with the astonishing number of occurrences in 1947 much of it forgotten by the public.

I maintain we are being acclimatized drip by drip.

As the Biden administration seems to be moving closer to reaching a new nuclear deal with Iran, the mullahs in Tehran are encouraging their Lebanese and Palestinian terrorist proxies to prepare for waging war on Israel.

The mullahs appear convinced that once the Biden administration capitulates completely to their demands for reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, they will be able to step up their already significant efforts to eliminate Israel and export their Islamic Revolution to Arab and Islamic countries. Iran already occupies four Arab countries: Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk subpoenaed former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, intensifying his ongoing legal battle with the social media giant over his intent to bail on his initial $44 billion acquisition offer.

Only weeks before Musk and Twitter go to court on Oct. 17, the richest man in the world seems to be accelerating his search for bots and spam accounts. Musk’s legal team demanded on Aug. 22 that Dorsey present documents and communications relating to “the impact or effect of false or spam accounts on Twitter’s business and operations,” according to the subpoena.

Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Housing and Diversity and Inclusion, is demanding accountability: How could someone else have let his government pair up with a guy who spews noxious, hateful views on Twitter for an anti-racism project? What will someone else do to make it better? And how can someone else ensure that this sort of thing never happens again?

Nothing will change, progressive racists will continue to be hired to teach racism to our progressive public service.

What China’s worst drought on record looks like

A month-long heatwave and record low rainfall have resulted in an unprecedented drought along the Yangtze, China’s longest river.

Lakes and tributaries have receded as a result of the drought, exposing riverbeds and even a 600-year-old Buddhist stone carving and rocks below the famous Guanyin Pavilion, in Wuhan, Hubei province.

Anthony Fauci is ending his long and celebrated government career by being widely lauded for getting so much so very wrong on Covid-19.

Now 81 years old, Dr. Fauci has spent 38 years as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, part of the National Institutes of Health. He has been rightly honored for his many contributions over the decades, most notably during the fight against AIDS, for which he was awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom by George W. Bush. But to Covid-19 he brought a monomaniacal focus on vanquishing a single virus, whatever the cost—neglecting the damage that can follow when public health loses sight of the public’s health.

Stars land in hot water over excess usage

Across a parched California, residents enduring a punishing drought are doing their bit to conserve water, taking shorter showers and packing their dishwashers efficiently to reduce waste.

However, some of the state’s wealthier citizens appear to be paying little attention, using vast amounts of water to keep pools filled and lawns green.

I get the impression that celebrities like our politicians expect to be lauded for their hypocrisy.
