A woman was bit by a ‘protective’ monk seal off a beach in Hawaii after wildlife officials urged swimmers to avoid the area since a seal had given birth to her baby pup weeks prior.
The attack took place on Sunday morning around 8 am at Kaimana Beach in Waikiki on the island of O’ahu.
The female swimmer, who was not identified, is about 20 feet into the water when suddenly the monk seal emerges and starts to attack.

Florida rapper shot dead in front of home after daring critics to confront him
Florida rapper Rollie Bands was gunned down outside his Tampa apartment complex Friday minutes after he dared his critics to confront him at his house in an Instagram post.
“A lot of these n****s know where I live at fr,” the rapper wrote on his Instagram Story, according to HipHopDX. “I sleep in peace. If a n***a want smoke I’m at my crib in 5 mins.”
Just five minutes after his post, at around 3:30 p.m., the rapper was shot once in the parking lot of his apartment complex. He was rushed to an area hospital, but couldn’t be saved.

The first major peer-reviewed study of monkeypox infections has found that the virus is primarily being transmitted through the sexual activity of gay and bisexual men in the United States and around the world.
The Journal of New England Medicine on Thursday published a study that looked at monkeypox infection across 16 countries between April and June, when cases began to emerge in countries outside of Africa.
Gazprom: Nord Stream 1 gas supply to EU to be cut further
Russian energy giant Gazprom says it will once again drastically cut gas supplies to the EU through its main pipeline due to maintenance work.
Gazprom said stopping another turbine at the Nord Stream 1 pipeline would cut daily gas production to 20%, halving the current level of supply.
The German government said there was no technical reason to limit gas supply.

While governments should ‘fear’ their Citizens to some extent, it’s better to think of it in terms of ‘respect.’
The government should respect the fact that they serve the public, and are not supposed to rule over them.
They should also respect the fact that the government represents a very small proportion of the population, and that they are supposed to maintain power through the tacit consent of those they govern.
However, history shows that when governments stop respecting the power of the citizen, but instead fear those who oppose them, things can head in a very dark direction.
And when contempt is added to the mix, it’s even worse.
