Erin O’Toole claims Conservative MPs are united. But are grassroots supporters?

Erin O’Toole insists the Conservative caucus is united behind his leadership.

But can he be as confident about the party’s grassroots?

The reaction from a handful of third-party organizations, which represent swaths of the Conservative faithful, suggests the answer is likely a no.

“If they keep throwing their base under the bus, there’s not going to be anyone on the bus,” said Sheldon Clare, president and CEO of the National Firearms Association, adding that he remains a Conservative member for “right now.”

I suggest Conservatives look elsewhere for a political home and westerners should give serious consideration to separatist parties. The CPC braintrust will keep their leftward course. Another version of O’Toole is what to expect from any replacement so they may as well keep him as leader.

As for me? Won’t be O’Tooled again!

On the international front, the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle continues to reverberate along with Europe’s growing frustration in dealing with the administration. Even on matters where we can agree, such as the submarine deal and our alliance with the Australia and the United Kingdom to counter China, the announcement was so badly handled it became just another friction point in U.S.-European relations. Then there is China itself. From the origins of COVID to its recent hypersonic missile test — an event the Pentagon’s top general Mark Milley concedes was a near “Sputnik moment” — and China’s ability to crush all US satellites as “debris,” the challenges between the U.S. and China only continue to grow.

A Métis professor at the University of Saskatchewan who raised concerns about prominent academic Carrie Bourassa’s claims to Indigenous ancestry says the school’s recent decision to put Bourassa on leave is a step in the right direction.

Bourassa, a U of S professor and the scientific director of the Indigenous health arm of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), has been put on leave from both institutions after CBC’s investigation into her claims to Indigeneity sparked online outrage. The U of S also announced Monday that it had launched an investigation into Bourassa’s claims.

Women dominate the race-fakery field, look to this being spun as a result of their victimization by the patriarchy.

Minneapolis REJECTS defund the police: Voters decide to keep their city police department and not replace it with a woke Department of Public Safety

Minneapolis voters on Tuesday rejected a proposal to replace the city’s police department with a new Department of Public Safety, an idea that supporters had hoped would bring radical change to policing in the city where George Floyd’s death under an officer’s knee brought calls for racial justice.

The initiative would have changed the city charter to remove a requirement that the city has to have a police department with a minimum number of officers. Supporters said a complete overhaul of policing was necessary to stop police violence.

Opponents said the proposal had no concrete plan for how to move forward and warned it would leave some communities already affected by violence more vulnerable as crime is on the rise.

Military police investigate dozens of complaints of racism in the Canadian Army

Military police and civilian law enforcement have investigated up to 70 cases of alleged hateful conduct and racist attitudes within the Canadian Army since a crackdown began in September last year, CBC News has learned.

A briefing prepared for the army’s acting commander last winter and obtained under access to information legislation shows 115 cases were catalogued up until that time, with 57 of them being investigated by military authorities.

Figures updated to the end of August — and released to CBC News — show an additional 28 allegations. Of those, 13 were deemed serious enough to warrant a police investigation.

The goal seems to be to have the military investigated into a toxic waste dump of PC proprieties, unable to fight but certain of their pro-nouns.

Alec Baldwin defended working conditions on the set of the Western flick “Rust” — sharing a crewmember’s social media posts ripping her co-workers for describing it as “chaotic and unsafe.”

The actor and producer — who fatally shot cinematographer Halnya Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza — shared several screenshots of remarks by Terese Magpale Davis, who worked in the wardrobe department for the movie.

“Read this,” Baldwin, 63, wrote to introduce the multiple Instagram posts, all of which were screengrabs of Davis’ own social media posts.

FBI Sat On Bombshell Footage From Kyle Rittenhouse Shooting

On Tuesday, opening statements in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, an18-year-old aspiring police officer accused of fatally shooting two men and wounding a third on the night of Aug. 25, 2020, as BLM riots raged in the streets of Kenosha in response to a white-on-black police shooting.

While prosecutors have slapped the teen with two counts of homicide and one count of attempted homicide, Rittenhouse has pleaded not guilty to all charges, claiming self-defense.

Now, new footage has emerged which bolsters his case.

Glenn Youngkin defeated Democrat Terry McAuliffe in Virginia’s gubernatorial election. Tuesday’s race was the biggest test of President Joe Biden and his party’s strength since Democrats won back the White House in November 2020 and the Senate in January.

McAuliffe, a longtime fixture of Democratic politics, got his start raking in eye-popping sums as a fundraiser for former President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s. After stints as chair of the Democratic National Committee and co-chair of Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, McAuliffe served one term as Virginia’s governor from 2014 to 2018.

Cynics smile before they say, “Perception is reality.”  What we see must be true because we see it!  If we don’t see it, then it cannot be real.  Anyone who has ever used Photoshop knows that “seeing is believing” is false, just as misleading as expecting politicians to do what they promise.

Washington Post Reports On Demonic Energy Behind The Left’s Culture War

A Halloween-themed profile of a “teenage witch” in The Washington Post over the weekend reads surprisingly like a backhanded affirmation of the Bible and Christianity. It openly connects gender dysphoria with occult experimentation, and both with unsupervised young people going deep into social media rabbit warrens.

I wrote in July about another profile exploring how TikTok promotes multiple personality disorders that approximate demonic possession. The Washington Post article also reinforces the connections between gender confusion and the demonic, immediately by noting that profile subject Viv Bennett “identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.”

The Toll of Critical Race Theory on Our Children

Our country was founded as one nation under God, and our children used to be reminded of it every day. It used to be standard practice that when the school bell rang, children would stand up, face the American flag, place their right hand over their heart and say the pledge of allegiance. Each day they would speak the words “one nation, under God.” The symbolism was clear; we all stood united in our love of country and commitment to equality.

Where did that unity go?

UK: ‘Honour-based’ offences soared by 81% in last five years

The number of “honour-based” abuse (HBA) offences recorded by English police forces has soared over the past five years, figures suggest.

According to data from the 28 out of 39 constabularies that responded to freedom of information (FoI) requests, the number of HBA cases – including offences such as rape, death threats and assault – rose from 884 in 2016 to 1,599 last year, a rise of 81%.

There are estimated to be 12 to 15 so-called “honour” killings in Britain every year. Notorious cases include Banaz Mahmod, whose father, uncle and other relatives plotted to murder her after she left an allegedly abusive marriage and fell in love with another man; and Samia Shahid, from Bradford, who was killed on a trip to Pakistan. Shahid’s ex-husband and father were arrested in Pakistan in connection with her death but her father died while on bail and nobody has stood trial.

Poison Jihad: UK Lawyer Injects Food Items with Blood

Leoaai Elghareeb, a 37-year-old Muslim in London, was recently charged, according to the UK’s Daily Mail, with “contaminating or interfering with goods with blood at three supermarkets in west London.” Elgareeb must be one of those people the establishment media keeps telling us about, those dirt-poor, woefully ignorant people who turn to jihad out of sheer desperation, right? Wrong. He is a solicitor for a firm known as Opus Legal contractors; legal work generally makes its practitioners affluent, and the Daily Mail tells us that “homes and flats in the area where Mr Elghareeb lives sell for upwards of £1.5m.” (that’s well over two million dollars). So why did he do such a thing? Could it have something to do with his Islamic faith? Of course not! Why, that would be “Islamophobic”!
