Toronto Police Det.-Const. Adrienne Gilvesy is the same good cop she was before the coronavirus vaccine arrived.
Her skills, passion and work ethic to keep Toronto safe has not changed. The landscape she works in has.

Stunned holidaymakers say they have been branded racists by staff after complaining about Afghan child refugees ‘running riot’ at Scarborough’s historic Grand Hotel

Holidaymakers were branded ‘racists’ when they complained to staff about the children of Afghan refugees ‘running riot’ at Scarborough’s Grand Hotel.
Coach-loads of migrant families fleeing the Taliban have been arriving at the iconic venue which was evacuated earlier this week in a bomb scare believed to be linked to their arrival.
Hotel guests say they have every sympathy with the 200 refugees staying there until they find permanent homes – but their children have disrupted their stay and caused havoc.
Biden Criminalizes CRT Dissent

The administration has mobilized the FBI against parents who oppose critical race theory.
In an official memo, Attorney General Merrick Garland has pledged to mobilize the FBI against parents protesting critical race theory in public schools, citing unspecified “threats of violence” against school officials.
Garland’s memo follows a National School Boards Association request that the Biden administration investigate threats to school board members and classify sometimes-heated parent protests as “domestic terrorism.” The NSBA suggested that some of these parents should be prosecuted under the PATRIOT Act and federal hate-crimes legislation.
Florida mom calls for mass exodus from woke public school system after AG Garland threatens to criminalize parents complaining of CRT
A Florida mother has called for a ‘mass exodus’ from the increasingly liberal public school system, saying it is parents’ only choice to avoid their kids being indoctrinated with CRT.
Quisha King made the remarks on Thursday night at the Pray Vote Stand Summit, an event by the Family Research Council in Leesburg, Virginia. She was one of many speakers and panelists who spoke on stage about their efforts to squash woke agendas being pushed in schools and the military.
Turkey’s Airstrikes in Syria, Iraq

Since the Taliban’s violent takeover of Afghanistan on August 15, Turkey has increased its expansionist military activities in the Middle East in a way that is significantly impacting the lives of minorities.
Turkey appears to be maneuvering to expand an Islamic state in Syria and Iraq.
Turkey has so far been using its fight against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) as an excuse to justify its military aggression, destruction and casualties of persecuted minorities. Among those communities affected by Turkish military actions in Iraq and Syria are Yazidis, Assyrians and Kurds — communities previously targeted by ISIS and al-Qaeda.
China’s noisy ‘dancing grannies’ silenced by device that disables speakers

Across China’s public parks and squares, in the early hours of the morning or late in the afternoon, the grannies gather.
The gangs, made up mostly of middle-aged and older women who went through the Cultural Revolution, take to a corner of a local park or sporting ground and dance in unison to Chinese music. Loud music.
The tradition has led to alarming standoffs, with the blaring music frequently blamed for disturbing the peace in often high-density residential areas. But many are too scared to confront the women.
Geena Davis’s new role: Training AI bots to scrub movie scripts of anything un-PC
Actress Geena Davis’s latest role is getting artificial intelligence bots to monitor movie scripts to make sure Hollywood remains politically correct.
The Thelma and Louise star’s eponymous institute is expanding its partnership with NBCUniversal to uncover unconscious bias against black people, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders in film scripts using its artificial intelligence tool called “Spellcheck for Bias.”
Free menstrual products coming to Ontario schools, Education Minister Stephen Lecce announces

Some six million menstrual products will be provided free of charge each year to Ontario schools as part of a three-year program announced Friday by Education Minister Stephen Lecce following pressure from youth leaders and boards.
The move — which some school boards have already implemented, as early as 2019 — addresses growing awareness about “period poverty,” where girls don’t have access to, or can’t afford, pads and tampons, and that interferes with their ability to take part in sports and activities or even attend school.
America’s largest police departments see increase in departures in 2021: report

A new study exclusively obtained by Fox News found an alarming increase in retirements and resignations across 10 police departments in the U.S. over the past year following protests.
Research from the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF) analyzed active police memberships and activity from June 1, 2020, to April 30, 2021, and compared it to the same period a year prior – meaning the study analyzed the numbers before and after the murder of George Floyd, which prompted national and global protests that demanded police reform to the tune of “Defund the Police.”
“Toronto rapper” Hassan Ali arrested in Los Angeles, faces first-degree murder charge
A Toronto man wanted in connection with a shooting murder that happened in North York nearly 10 months ago was arrested on Thursday in Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department arrested Hassan Ali, 22, in California while acting on a Provisional American Arrest Warrant, according to Toronto police.
Ali, a resident of Toronto, is facing one count of first-degree murder and three counts of fail to comply, for the shooting death of 20-year-old Hashim Omar Hashi. Hashi was shot multiple times on the evening of Jan. 31 as he was driving into his apartment garage on 40 Falstaff Ave. He died at the scene, and was the city’s fifth homicide of the year.
UK’s Cambridge University: Increase Meat Prices to Tackle Climate Change!

A report produced by Cambridge University academics has called for foods with so-called high carbon footprints, such as dairy and meat, to be made more expensive in order to save the planet.
The Cambridge University-led study published by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) says that “education” alone on changing diets towards more plant-based habits and abandoning car ownership is not enough.
Federal Vaccine Mandates Implicate, Infringe on Canadians’ Charter Rights: Legal Experts

The vaccine mandate that requires federal employees from core public services to be fully immunized against COVID-19 has constitutional issues that implicate the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom, an Ontario lawyer says.
“There are several sections of the Charter of Rights that are implicated by mandating vaccines, generally speaking,” said Ryan O’Connor, a Toronto-based litigator who specializes in areas such as employment and appeals, and also advises clients on matters involving federal and provincial legislation.
Jihadists target African village leaders in wave of assassinations

Groups affiliated with Islamic State and al Qaeda are killing and kidnapping elder statesmen and their families in villages across Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso. The violence mimics their tactics in other parts of the world where they have seized control.
Scrawled onto a cement gravestone in the village of Tchombangou is the date when the calm of the remote community in southwest Niger was shattered: Friday, Nov. 22, 2019.
Before dawn that day, gunmen approached on motorbikes across the surrounding scrubland. Their target: Boubacar Lawey, the 95-year-old village chief who walked with a cane and for 55 years had settled local disputes, collected taxes and registered births and deaths.
While residents slept, the men led Lawey a short way from the village and shot him dead.
