̷‘̷D̷i̷s̷a̷p̷p̷o̷i̷n̷t̷e̷d̷’̷ Hypocrite Justin Trudeau dodges question about Carolyn Bennett’s future after ‘hurtful’ text to Indigenous MP

OTTAWA — Justin Trudeau is standing by his embattled minister of Crown-Indigenous relations — for now — despite calls for her removal for sending a text message that some Indigenous people called “racist.”

But Trudeau stopped short of offering his full support to Carolyn Bennett at a news conference Friday, saying he was “deeply disappointed” in her for sending a “hurtful” message to Indigenous MP Jody Wilson-Raybould.

Asked whether Bennett should keep her role in his cabinet, the prime minister did not give a direct answer.

Toronto-area priest resigns after backlash from sermon on ‘good done’ in residential schools

Toronto-area priest resigns after backlash from sermon on ‘good done’ in residential schools

A priest who referred to the “good done” by the Roman Catholic Church in residential schools has resigned from his role as pastor, the Archdiocese of Toronto confirmed on Friday.

During a sermon last Sunday, Monsignor Owen Keenan, the pastor of the Merciful Redeemer Parish in Mississauga, west of Toronto, talked about the the remains of an estimated 215 children discovered at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, B.C. run by the church.

An individually orchestrated avoidance of dealings with the perpetually offended in all situations possible will be the result of these struggle sessions.

Call it the new segregation.

Ontario reports more than 300 new COVID-19 cases, 13 more deaths

Half of Adults Infected in Latest COVID-19 Outbreak Were Fully Vaccinated: Israeli Official

About 90 percent of new COVID-19 infections in Israel were caused by the CCP virus’s Delta variant, officials said, while adding that about half of the adults infected in the recent outbreak were fully vaccinated.

Ran Balicer, who leads an expert advisory panel for the Israeli government, in announcing the finding on Friday, said that the country might end up implementing another lockdown after opening up earlier this year, according to the Wall Street Journal. The fully vaccinated individuals were inoculated with the Pfizer COVID-19 shot commonly used in Israel.

I am scheduled for my 2nd vaccine dose today.

I received an email this week informing me that rather than Pfizer (my first dose) I will be getting jabbed with Moderna.

Okey Dokey. Yea I do feel like a guinea pig.

The news of the Indian variant’s ability to get past the jabs is concerning.

I suspect we will see round three of the inoculations come fall.

Symptoms are said to be less severe for the inoculated who still become infected.

That’s all we got. Nuke China.

Three people were killed in an attack in Germany on Friday by a Somali immigrant, who officials said was placed under compulsory psychiatric treatment days earlier.

The suspect was identified as a 24-year-old Somali immigrant, who was shot in the leg by police and arrested after the Friday afternoon attack in Wurzburg, Germany. Police said his life was not in danger and he was being questioned in hospital.

The knifeman killed at least three people and wounded at least five others in the street rampage at Barbarossaplatz in Wurzburg’s downtown area, according to local media reports.

Who Can Be Surprised that Kamala’s In Over Her Head?

Vice President Kamala Harris had a disastrous trip to Guatemala. She has received a great deal of criticism from all over the political spectrum. Fox News host Sandra Smith made a revealing comment on the June 2, 2021 episode of The Five. She stated that her contacts inside the White House stated that Harris went into panic mode when President Biden announced that he had put her in charge of dealing with the crisis at the border.

Upon hearing that I said, “No surprise.”

Have we reached peak progressive? With few things left to liberate, progressivism is starting to eat itself

Tyler Cowen devotes his latest Bloomberg column to Conquest’s Second Law of Politics, which states that “Any organisation not explicitly and constitutionally right-wing will sooner or later become left-wing.”

There are certainly many examples of organisations veering off to the Left. Only this week, we’ve had the spectacle of the Royal Academy of Arts cancelling an artist because of her entirely reasonable views about sex and gender.

White Men are Terrible, Insists Author Abandoned by Her Black Father

The twisted psychology of Critical Race Theory racism.

Racist.

Ijeoma Oluo spends a lot of time complaining about her single white mother who took care of her when her black father returned to Nigeria and never came back.

Like Obama and Kamala, Ijeoma built a marketable identity by identifying with a father who abandoned her. But the author of such racist texts as So You Want to Talk About Race and Mediocre: The Dangerous Legacy of White Male America takes it even further by identifying as Nigerian-American. The Nigerian part is very hypothetical as she was born and raised in America, and her Nigerian father left when she was a year old and broke his promise to return.

The Miserable And Meaningful Demise Of John McAfee

There’s nothing quite like reading someone’s tweets musing on life and death, taking siesta, and waking up to news of their suicide.

As if a more hockey-check reminder of the fragility of existence was needed, I got it Wednesday. Following a year of disease and riots, lockdowns during the day and curfews at night, the smashing of one more bright light of the absurd did the trick. Aged 75, John McAfee died Wednesday in Spain as he lived: his life in his own hands.

Late-Night Talk Shows Suffer Major Ratings Losses Without Trump

The far-left, late-night talk shows are suffering some serious ratings losses, which probably has more than a little to do with President Trump leaving office.

As you read through the numbers below, keep this number in mind: 6.3 million. During the 1986-87 television season, with nearly 100 million fewer people in the country, that was the number of viewers Johnny Carson averaged throughout the entire 1986-87 television season.

Homicides Have Skyrocketed in These Six Democratic Cities; Black People Are Disproportionately the Victims, Data Shows

The number of homicides in six major cities across the country has increased compared to last year, disproportionately affecting black people, according to crime data.

Black people have represented a massive share of murder victims in six major cities through the first six months of 2021 compared to last year, which itself saw a large crime surge, according to data analyzed by the Daily Caller News Foundation. The DCNF analyzed both police department data and homicide reports compiled by local news outlets to determine how black people have been victimized in the wake of the 2020 crime spike.

The tyranny of woke capitalism

CEOs are wielding their vast economic power to impose their values on everyone else.

It often appears that CEOs of some of the largest global corporations have made the cause of the woke their own. Their willingness to join the fray was demonstrated in their response to the launching of GB News in the UK. No sooner was this new, independent news network launched than sections of big business joined a boycott against it. A campaign was organised to pressure firms to pull their ads from GB News, and companies like Kopparberg, IKEA, Specsavers, Octopus Energy, Grolsch, Moneysupermarket, Vodafone and others swiftly gave in.

Adam Zivo: Eviction of homeless encampment was a victory for community safety

Earlier this week, Toronto Police Services cleared out a homeless encampment that had been a blight on Trinity Bellwoods Park, one of the city’s most popular public spaces. Approximately two dozen camp dwellers were evicted, at least half of whom were resettled into municipal shelters and city-paid hotel rooms. This was a victory for community safety, and hopefully heralds the clearance of other encampments that have similarly undermined public well-being.

Is there proof extraterrestrials are real? Five questions left unanswered by the U.S. government UFO report

Is there proof extraterrestrials are real? Five questions left unanswered by the U.S. government UFO report

A highly anticipated government report on unidentified aerial phenomena in American airspace was released Friday afternoon — and it’s not as illuminating as some may have hoped.

The report failed to offer firm explanations for many of the questions that raised the report’s profile in the first place, such as whether unidentified flying objects, or UFOs, pose a national security threat or whether they offer evidence of extraterrestrial life.

“Today’s rather inconclusive report only marks the beginning of efforts to understand and illuminate what is causing these risks to aviation in many areas around the country and the world,” said Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-VA), Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

Deprogramming of January 6 Defendants Is Underway

The entire investigation is an attempt to prosecute people based on their beliefs. Those who purge their views and admit their wrongthink will be given mercy. Those who don’t will pay dearly.

“My lawyer has given me names of books and movies to help me see what life is like for others in our country. I’ve learned that even though we live in a wonderful country things still need to improve. People of all colors should feel as safe as I do to walk down the street.”

That passage is part book report, part white privilege mea culpa submitted to a federal court this month by Anna Morgan-Lloyd, one of the more than 500 Americans arrested for her involvement in the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

US Senator Wants Canada Added to Watchlist of Religious Freedom Violators for Pastor Arrests

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) on Thursday appealed to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) to consider adding Canada to its special watchlist—alongside the likes of Afghanistan, Cuba, and Iraq—in response to arrests of Canadian pastors who held services that allegedly violated COVID-19 restrictions.

The USCIRF’s special watchlist (SWL) is a list of countries where state-sanctioned violations of religious freedoms meet two of the elements of the agency’s “systematic, ongoing, and egregious” test. A secondary list, called the Countries of Particular Concern (CPC), features countries like China and Iran that meet all three criteria and whose governments engage in or tolerate “particularly severe” violations, such as torture.
