Exposed – The Washington Post’s attempt to smear me and my work on critical race theory fails spectacularly.

The fight over critical race theory has consumed American media. Conservatives have rallied against an ideology that seeks to divide the country into the racial categories of “oppressor” and “oppressed.” Liberals have defended it as a “lens” for understanding vague buzzwords like “systemic racism” and “racial equity.”

I spy: are smart doorbells creating a global surveillance network?

I spy: are smart doorbells creating a global surveillance network?

I have got a new doorbell. It’s brilliant. It should be; it cost £89. It’s a Ring video doorbell; you’ll have seen them around. There are others available, made by other companies, with other four-letter names such as Nest and Arlo. When someone rings my doorbell, I’m alerted on my smartphone. I can see who is there, and speak to them.

My phone is ringing! C major first inversion chord, arpeggiated, repeated, for the musically trained – you’ll recognise it if you’ve heard it. It’s a delivery. Amazon, as it happens; Amazon acquired Ring in 2018, reportedly for more than $1bn.

“Hi, Amazon guy, I’m not in… I mean, I’m upstairs.” I’m not, but I don’t want him – or anyone else – to know that. “Could you leave it behind the bins, please?”

The Systemic Con Behind Wokeism

There are lots of reasons why wokeism spread like wildfire once America lost its collective mind during the pandemic, quarantine, self-induced recession, and rioting of 2020.

Wokeism was never really about racism, sexism, or other isms. For some, it illustrated a psychological pathology of projection: transferring one’s own prejudices onto others in order to alleviate or mask them.

LEVY: Suspended TDSB educator to host seminar called ‘Teaching Palestine’

A Toronto District School Board staffer who’s been on home assignment for more than a month for distributing two virulently anti-Israel manuals is moderating an online panel for educators next week that features four speakers who have been very public about their anti-Zionist sentiments.

Some of the most supportive of multiculturalism and unfettered immigration are now reaping the whirlwind of their folly and your right to free-speech is in jeopardy because both sides of the Israel-Islam conflict believe censorship will be their savior.

I have some bad news for Israel supporters, politicians care only about votes, that means the Islamists will win and the very laws you thought would protect will be turned against you.

The case of the cursing cheerleader shows how we police profanity

Can you gimme an F? a U? a C? OK!

It’s been a great week for cheerleaders fond of tossing around the occasional F-bomb. On Wednesday the US supreme court ruled that a Pennsylvania public school violated a 14-year-old student’s first amendment freedom of speech rights when it suspended her from the cheerleading team because of an expletive-ridden social media post she’d sent from outside school premises.

President Biden Rants Against ‘Ugliest, Most Un-American Laws’ Which ‘Target Transgender Children’

On Friday afternoon, President Joe Biden gave remarks commemorating pride month and celebrating “the LGBTQ+ community,” though at times he did slip up and began with the “LBT” instead of the LGBT”

Biden was introduced by Ashton Mota, a 16-year old who claimed to be transgender when only a 12-year old.

Shocka! German Islamic teacher’s license revoked for being too liberal

Abdel-Hakim Ourghi has written books including “You Don’t Have to Wear a Headscarf” and “Reform Islam: 40 Theses.” His application to train other Islamic teachers was turned down for vague reasons.

A German Islamic scholar has had his teaching license rejected because of his “liberal theological convictions,” one of his peers told a newspaper on Saturday.

Islam expert Susanne Schröter spoke out in support of Abdel-Hakim Ourghi, who headed the Islamic Theology department at the University of Freiburg for nearly a decade.

Last month, the 53-year-old Ourghi had his “ijaza” (license to train Islamic teachers) denied by the Stiftung Sunnitischer Schulrat (Sunni School Board Foundation), based in Stuttgart.

I’m shocked! There must be some mistake!

12 arrested in raids on Extinction Rebellion sites in London

12 arrested in raids on Extinction Rebellion sites in London

Police in London have raided a warehouse used by Extinction Rebellion, as well as an arts centre that was exhibiting some of the structures used in the demonstrations that blockaded newspaper printing plants last year.

The Met is under increased scrutiny as the group plans further protests against the owners of the UK’s press outlets this weekend, alongside supporters of the Black Lives Matter campaign against racial injustice.

Scotland Yard said it had “taken proactive action to prevent and reduce criminal disruption which we believe was intended for direction at media business locations over the weekend”.

That was pro-active, never see that in Canada.

Diane Francis: Canadian Forces have right to know if they got COVID at the 2019 Military World Games in Wuhan

This week, lawmakers in the United States called for an investigation into whether the October 2019 Military World Games in Wuhan, China was a COVID-19 super-spreader event and whether officials should have known something was amiss, given that the city seemed unusually empty and was described by some participants as a “ghost town.”

Female genital mutilation (FGM): ‘I had it, but my daughters won’t’

FGM has been banned in Egypt since 2008, yet the country still has one of the highest rates of the practice in the world.

Among some conservative Muslim communities there, women are regarded as “unclean” and “not ready for marriage” unless FGM – the deliberate cutting or removal of a female’s external genitalia – is performed. Under the law, doctors can be jailed for up to seven years if found guilty of carrying out the procedure, and anyone who requests it faces up to three years in prison.

Iran’s New President: A Mass Murderer Mullah

The Iranian regime ran a sham election to make its favorite mullah candidate, Ebrahim Raisi, linked with mass executions, become the next President of the Islamic Republic. Will the European Union and the Biden administration at least condemn the Iranian regime and stop the West’s appeasement policies with the ruling mullahs?

In Iran, the regime urged people to vote, most likely to show that it enjoys legitimacy; however, what it faced was widespread voter apathy and a record low voter turnout. Many people boycotted the elections and protesters called on US President Joe Biden to stop trying to return to the nuclear deal. Anahita, an Iranian teacher from Tehran, told Gatestone, “I did not go to vote. Like many people, I did not have a candidate. So, why should I vote? The mullahs had a candidate: Raisi”.

Canada’s citizenship study guide for newcomers is getting an ‘unvarnished’ makeover.

Canada’s citizenship study guide for newcomers is getting an ‘unvarnished’ makeover. Here’s how it’s evolved — from 1947 to today

For more than seven decades, the federal government has published a citizenship study guide for wannabe Canadians — a booklet that touches on Canada’s history and geography, its political structure and key tenets of what it means to be a good citizen.

The current version, however, hasn’t been updated in more than a decade, drawing criticism for using outdated terminology and leaving out or sanitizing darker moments of Canada’s past, including attempts to forcibly assimilate Indigneous Peoples.

Speaker wants information on fired scientists released, prepares to challenge Liberal government in court

Justin Trudeau Xiangguo Qiu Keding Cheng – Everybody say Xi

Speaker of the House of Commons Anthony Rota intends to take on the Liberal government in a court fight over the disclosure of documents related to the firing of two scientists at Canada’s highest-security laboratory.

The Speaker’s office says the Speaker’s legal counsel has advised the attorney general that Rota — who is named as the respondent on behalf of the House of Commons in the Liberal government’s court application — will challenge the court’s jurisdiction on the basis of parliamentary privilege, unless the government drops its application to block the disclosure of the documents.
