Germany Is a Bad Ally

… President Joe Biden and Secretary of Antony Blinken reversed course, however, and sought to prioritize smooth relations with Berlin. On May 19, 2021, Blinken announced that the United States would wave sanctions on Nord Stream 2 AG, its chief executive officer Matthias Warnig, and its corporate officers even though Blinken insisted the U.S. opposition to the Russian-backed pipeline was “unwavering.” Blinken explained the logical dissonance of the move as an effort to fulfill “the President’s pledge to rebuild relationships with our allies and partners in Europe.”

The logic behind this calculation, however, is tenuous. Put aside the irony that Biden and Blinken have now promoted pipelines for the Taliban and Russia while killing those from which the United States could benefit. If climate change were truly the “greatest threat to America” as Biden told U.S. troops during his visit to Europe, then he would increase his opposition to Nord Stream 2, not green light its completion.

Egypt has gone out of its way to help the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip after the recent round of fighting between Israel and Hamas.

Stephen Watson told the Daily Telegraph he “would probably kneel before the Queen, God, and Mrs Watson, that’s it”.

He also said he was concerned about the creation of new “hate crimes” which could overwhelm police as they “sought to criminalise what people think”.

Mr Watson joined the force, which is in special measures, in May.

He told the newspaper the public were “getting a little bit fed up of virtue-signalling police officers” and would “rather we just locked up burglars”.

Bullets fired in Baltimore’s Fells Point neighborhood on Saturday suggest the city’s attempted crime crackdown amid a threatened tax revolt by businesses is off to a shaky start, regardless of how the gunfire might be euphemized.

Baltimore police told local media outlet WBAL Radio that they’re investigating an overnight “discharging,” not shooting, in Fells Point. The discharging, as it turns out, came from a gun or guns, and the bullets damaged several vehicles. A man sitting in one of the vehicles suffered a laceration to the head, perhaps when the discharging broke a window in his car.

The sun bore down on us intensely – the Atacama desert boasts the Earth’s highest levels of solar radiation, and only parts of Antarctica are drier.

ISIS Badoush prison massacre: Iraq exhumes bodies from mass grave

The remains of 123 victims of one of the worst massacres in Iraq by the jihadist group Islamic State have been exhumed from a mass grave near Mosul.

DNA samples will be compared with those collected from possible relatives in an attempt to identify them.

The victims were among more than 600 mostly Shia Muslim inmates at Badoush prison who were killed by IS in 2014.

IS militants drove them to a ravine and shot them dead after attacking the prison and freeing their fellow Sunnis.

There is a direct link between the Democrats’ identity politics and the anti-Semitism and anti-Americanism we see more of every day. Some immunity is awarded to those who belong to one of the more fashionable minorities du jour.

Some minorities are fashionable, but some — women, people of color, Muslims, LGBTQ people, and a few others — are more fashionable than others and, thus, more protected. The idea that all lives matter, not just those of minorities, is unthinkable to the wokistas.
