Secretary of State Antony Blinken says he hasn’t seen any evidence that Hamas was operating inside a media building in Gaza housing the Associated Press and Al Jazeera offices was destroyed in an Israeli airstrike.

An Israeli diplomat said on Sunday that the government provided ‘smoking gun’ evidence to President Joe Biden about the high-rise its forces obliterated.

But Blinken appeared to go against their claims, said the U.S. is seeking additional evidence from and has demanded a full explanation from the Israelis.

The IDF said that Abu-Harbid, who was killed in a joint operation with the Shin Bet intelligence services, commanded over the northern Gaza Strip division of the terror organization since 2019 when his predecessor Baha abu el-Atta was killed in a targeted assassination by the IDF.

Provincial health officials logged 2,170 new COVID-19 infections today, down slightly from the 2,199 cases confirmed on Sunday.

Today’s tally is a notable drop from the 2,716 cases reported last Monday.

In the past two weeks two global superpowers have had to face an unsettling reality – census results in the US and in China indicate that both countries are likely to start shrinking in population much sooner than they thought.

That’s because fertility rates are falling fast. As that happens, the population gets older, which can stand in the way of economic growth. It’s something governments are usually keen to avoid.

China and the US are not at that point yet. But they could learn from other countries that are already thinking about how to boost fertility.

The Next Big Gasoline Shortage Is Coming

If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that we cannot ignore the warning signs for future catastrophes.

In North Carolina, where I live, only about one-third of gas stations are currently reporting that they have any gas, and that’s after some improvement in availability. A ransomware attack shut down a key pipeline supplying these stations, an event that could, but likely won’t, serve as a wake-up call, before we experience a true catastrophe.

Prior to the pandemic, I wrote a lot about digital security, or the lack thereof. I once compared our security status quo to “building skyscraper favelas in code—in earthquake zones.” Not much has changed since then, but we are starting to hear more rumbles.

The latest Navy UFO video displays a new level of weirdness

Yesterday we had yet another video surface of US Navy personnel observing unidentified objects flying in restricted airspace near some of our ships. But this one comes with a twist that we’ll get to in a moment. The video was obtained and released by documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell on his website. The action took place in 2019 and the film was recorded from the Combat Information Center (CIC) aboard the USS Omaha (LCS-12).

This is getting strange, especially with prior US Navy submarine reports of “fast movers” travelling at hundreds of knots – underwater.
