Ontario reports 1745 new Covid cases … and school daze

FUREY: Here’s what happened when one Toronto school had a new variant case

There’s no reason why anyone would think Earl Beatty Junior and Senior Public School, located in Toronto’s east end Danforth neighbourhood, was the site of any recent pandemic woes.

There are no recent media stories about the school. There’s very little social media chatter. And the school for some reason doesn’t even appear on the Ontario government’s listing of schools that have had reported COVID-19 cases during the past two weeks. (Although it is listed on the TDSB’s page of schools with active cases.)

Shall a New Label of ‘Canceler’ Become the Answer to ‘Racist’?

Like an immature child who has discovered a very destructive toy, the woke Left has found that it can ruin people’s careers and reputations by depicting them as “racists” for merely disagreeing over issues such as “white privilege” and “systemic racism” or irresponsible actions under color of Black Lives Matter. This is simply age-old trash from a brand-new dumpster.

Elliot Page’s Rapid Transformation Looks Like An Alarming Cry For Help

Rather than advocate for taking time to fully understand who you want to be or addressing the long and careful journey most transgender people undergo, Elliot Page appears to be the model for rapid-onset gender dysphoria with almost instantaneous positive media reactions after transitioning within a few short weeks.

On Dec. 1, 2020, Ellen Page, star of “The Umbrella Academy,” declared herself “Elliot” Page. Nine weeks later, the announcement came that Page would be divorcing wife Emma Portner after three years.

Whatever it is it ain’t healthy.

How celebrities became irrelevant

By overexposing the rich and famous, lockdown has robbed them of influence

“The desperation of the “Imagine” video is uncomfortable but also understandable, a response to the upheaval of celebrity culture writ large amid a global pandemic. Before 2020, the fascination with celebs was sustained by their ubiquity; there was always a new film to anticipate, a new show to check out, and the entertainment industry was the sun around which our culture and cultural discourse revolved. But with cinemas shuttered and concert venues closed, the stars were suddenly out of sight, and, increasingly, out of mind. Without the Hollywood hype machine constantly reminding us to care about what celebs were up to, it turned out that we didn’t think much about them at all.”

It’s been illuminating to witness the strident lunacy of celebrity idiots I’ll give lockdown that much credit.

There is No Biden Administration – Only an imminent 25th Amendment crisis and soldiers in the streets.

There is No Biden Administration – Only an imminent 25th Amendment crisis and soldiers in the streets.

In the final months of the Trump administration, House Democrats universally voted to demand the unconstitutional use of the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office.

The 25th Amendment was meant to remove presidents who were unable to discharge their duties. President Trump was clearly able to do so, but Biden may be exactly the disastrous scenario that the 25th Amendment was created to avoid. And he may be its worst test case.

Why Haven’t the Durham or Hunter Biden Investigations Ended Yet?

Why Haven’t the Durham or Hunter Biden Investigations Ended Yet?

It’s widely assumed in much of the media commentary I’ve seen in the past few months that neither the Durham special counsel’s office nor the federal investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax affairs are real.

Pundits and commentators make it clear in their pronouncements that they believe neither investigation is credible or, if they ever were, they were subsumed by politics long ago.

TRUMP WAS RIGHT: CNN Ratings ‘Going Down the Tubes’ Without Him

TRUMP WAS RIGHT: CNN Ratings ‘Going Down the Tubes’ Without Him

Liberal network has lost almost a million viewers on average since Biden’s inauguration

Back in 2017, then-president Donald Trump predicted that “all forms of media will tank” as soon as he left office because “without me, their ratings are going down the tubes.”

As per usual, Trump was right. He was right about Anthony Weiner. He was right about Rand Paul. He was right about the Middle East. It should come as no surprise that he was right about the media.

The Biden era has been a disaster for mainstream journalists.

Federal Judge Restricts Portland Police Crowd Control, Suspends Officer

A federal judge this week ordered the Portland police department to stop using certain crowd control munitions as he suspended an officer accused of firing non-lethal rounds at demonstrators during a riot in June 2020.

Officer Brent Taylor must be removed from all crowd control events pending an internal investigation, U.S. District Court Chief Judge Marco Hernandez wrote in a 7-page ruling in Don’t Shoot Portland et. al v. the city of Portland the Multnomah County.

Doug Ford Biz subsidy for ‘green’ energy to cost taxpayers $15.2B

A Doug Ford government program that subsidizes electricity costs for large industrial and commercial users will set taxpayers back $15.2 billion, a new report from the Financial Accountability Office of Ontario (FAO) estimates.

The subsidy was launched Jan. 1 and pitched as a solution to pricey green energy contracts that drove up the cost of electricity at the expense of the province’s competitiveness.

The only thing Green energy produces is taxes

Milwaukee Circuit Court judge linked to ‘Drag Queen Story Hour’ charged with child pornography possession

A Milwaukee children’s court judge and father of two with ties to “Drag Queen Story Hour” was arrested after allegedly being caught with videos showing children being raped, officials said.

Milwaukee Circuit Court Judge Brett Blomme, 38, was charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography on Wednesday, a day after his arrest. Each count carries a maximum fine of $100,000 and 25 years in prison, or both, and each has a mandatory minimum sentence of three years of initial confinement. Blomme is the former president of the Cream City Foundation, which hosts “Drag Queen Story Hour,” a children’s event in which drag queens read to children.

GOLDSTEIN: Trudeau’s carbon tax to increase 33% on April 1

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in December that now is not the time to raise taxes on Canadians because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he excluded his carbon tax.

That’s because the carbon tax is scheduled to increase by 33% on April 1, up from its current level of $30 per tonne of industrial greenhouse gas emissions to $40 per tonne.

China’s Toxic Dog Food Threatens Our Four-Legged Friends

The ongoing food-safety problem has never been more important, nor more human-centered.

A nexus can be formed among seemingly unrelated things during unusual times. Such is the case with dogs, COVID-19, mental health, politicians, and China’s history of peddling toxic products.

Americans of all ages have experienced a harmful lack of social interaction in the last year, with no definitive end in sight. For millions, the best therapy is a dog.
