Okay, scratch that.

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole reversed his predecessor’s position on foreign aid spending Tuesday, saying that if elected, a Conservative government wouldn’t cut that budget.

But he said he would look to mirror previous Conservative foreign aid programs that tied funds to specific, measurable outcomes.

“I want to maintain and modernize and make more accountable our development funding,” he said during a virtual event with Cooperation Canada, an umbrella organization for international development agencies.

As is custom, those who got the axe ceremoniously took to Twitter to announce their fate and solicit new opportunities, with colleagues and peers chiming in to affirm how amazing they are and why you should totally hire them. What do the mysterious cases of Barry and Honey Sherman and Jeffrey Epstein have in common?

The high-profile death investigations of Barry and Honey Sherman in Toronto, and Jeffrey Epstein in New York, were complicated by confusion and misdiagnosis allegations related to the post-mortem condition of a small U-shaped neck bone called the “hyoid,” the Star has found.

While in life the billionaire philanthropist Shermans and accused sex trafficker Epstein were polar opposites, in death there was a similar controversy over how they died.

In both cases, though in different ways, it appears too much emphasis was placed on whether their hyoid bones were broken or not, and not enough emphasis on other factors. The theory held by some is that a broken hyoid strongly suggests a violent murder by strangulation, and an intact hyoid is indicative of a suicide, where typically less pressure is applied. Not so, say leading experts.

Grammy Awards Ratings Worst Ever By a Mile

We now have the final-final-final Grammy ratings and what we find is yet another catastrophe for the entertainment industry. Just two weeks after the Golden Globes hit an all-time low by losing 62 percent of its viewers, the Grammys lost 53 percent. Only 8.8 million people were interested in watching The Worst People In The World celebrate themselves. This is a jaw-dropping collapse from 18.7 million over last year and 19.9 million in 2019.

A hopeful sign of the entertainment industries’ continued decline.

Canadian girl, 4, freed from Syrian detention camp

The Canadian government says it provided consular services to a four-year-old girl recently freed from an Islamic State detention camp in northeastern Syria, but did not organize her exit from the camp.

“This story was one where the family themselves took the initiative to bring the daughter to Canada. The mother remains in Syria. She’s now with, I believe, an aunt or a relative,” said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during a press conference today.

“The federal government facilitated the travel documents but this was something that was done by the family involved.”

Anyone who signed up for ISIS did so knowing they were joining a murder cult. No mercy. As far as I am concerned we are not responsible for their spawn.

US President Joe Biden has good reason to regret his hasty decision to remove the terrorist designation applied to the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen after they responded to his act of benevolence by unleashing a fresh wave of attacks in the Middle East.

The Houthis and their Iranian backers are primarily responsible for starting Yemen’s long and bitter civil war after they overthrew the democratically-elected government of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi in 2014.
