The Truth About White Flight

Conventional history of the exodus out of cities ignores numerous complex and interrelated causes.

Speaking at an October 2019 Obama Foundation Summit, Michelle Obama reminisced about growing up in South Shore, a Chicago lakefront neighborhood. Some memories were bitter. The former First Lady, born in 1964, lamented living through “white flight.” As “upstanding families like ours, who were doing everything we were supposed to do . . . moved in,” she said, “white folks moved out.”

If your family moved because they wanted a bigger house in a less congested area with better schools and services with a lower tax burden then your family is racist. Seems legit.

Trans Santa Is Coming to Town – Kris Kringle will now help children with their attempted sex changes.

The latest tactic to indoctrinate children into transgenderism — convincing them that maybe they too are supposed to “change” their sex through a series of risky medical treatments — is particularly monstrous. Santa Claus is now “Transanta,” and she delivers chest binders and boxer shorts to 13-year-old girls behind their parents’ backs.

“We are transing Santa — join us! Transness is so beautiful and we are celebrating our magic,” said actor Indya Moore, who founded “Transanta.”

Military Diversity Board Proposes Ban on ‘Hate Group Activity,’ Citing SPLC

Joe Biden may not yet be president, but it seems the military may already be considering a policy banning servicemembers from activities sponsored by conservative and Christian organizations. Last week, Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller acted on a report from the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Diversity and Inclusion Board. Among other things, the board recommended that official policy “prohibit extremist or hate group activity,” citing the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) on the influence of “hate groups” in the military.

Fauci: Herd immunity could require 90 percent of country to be vaccinated

Fauci: Herd immunity could require 90 percent of country to be vaccinated

Achieving herd immunity against the coronavirus could require as much as 90 percent of the population to be vaccinated, Anthony Fauci said in an interview published Thursday.

Fauci, the country’s top infectious diseases expert, acknowledged in the New York Times interview that he has been incrementally raising his estimate of herd immunity numbers.

Fauci said he has been increasing the estimates in his public pronouncements because he thinks Americans are now able to handle the message that getting back to normal may take longer than anticipated, and fewer Americans are reporting being skeptical of taking a vaccine.

WHATLEY: Ford’s declaration of COVID defeat isn’t justified by lack of beds

WHATLEY: Ford’s declaration of COVID defeat isn’t justified by lack of beds

COVID-19 has tested the Ford government, and Premier Doug Ford has mostly risen to the challenge. Live daily updates, plans, programs, and spending: It has been the main (only) policy issue for ten months. Ford’s COVID-19 response will define his legacy.

Ontario now has 2,250 new acute care beds, which include 1,492 new ICU beds with ventilators. Spring shortages have disappeared. PPE abounds. If the mood strikes, you could bathe in alcohol hand sanitizer, and no one worries about running out of toilet paper. A massive vaccination program has just launched, and untold hundreds of millions of dollars have distracted voter anxieties.

Chinese State-Owned Enterprises Among Recipients of COVID-19 Wage Subsidy

Chinese state-owned enterprises were found to be recipients of Canada’s COVID-19 wage subsidy benefit.

In an effort to push for transparency, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) launched a search registry on Monday to help Canadians track employers who have been receiving the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the recipients, Chinese state-owned companies and non-profit organizations with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were found to be receiving the Canadian wage subsidy. Some of them include the Canadian arm of PetroChina, Bank of China (BOC), Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), China Mobile, and Canada China Business Council (CCBC).

Liberal plan to reduce emissions will hurt lower, middle-income groups: Critics

Canada’s Liberal government under Justin Trudeau wants to move towards not only meeting but exceeding its Paris climate accord targets. This month he’s announced an increase in the carbon tax and a new Clean Fuel Standard.

Environmental groups have lauded the policies. “This is a serious and well-thought out plan to achieve our 30 per cent reduction target, but we will need to do much more to fully decarbonize our economy, which is what climate science tells us is the way to protect our economy and ecosystems,” Keith Stewart of Greenpeace Canada said in a statement.

Others however have said it will also increase costs for everything, as everything is transported before it reaches the consumer, along with increased heating costs for a cold climate. It’s also likely manufacturing costs will increase and the costs will accumulate at each stage along the production and delivery chain until the product reaches the consumer.

Jihad at Christmas: “Coldly Kill Them with Hate and Rage”

This month, Islamic State terrorists released a “religious” song for Christmas, “Coldly Kill Them With Hate and Rage”. Taking the form of Islamic religious chant, the song, according to a report by the Middle East Media Research Institute, exhorts jihadists everywhere to murder non-Muslims, “pagans, atheists and polytheists”, from “West Africa all the way to east Asia… through air, land and sea”. Published on Telegram, the post includes the hashtag #MerryChristmas and a photograph of a Christmas tree with dynamite attached.
