Massive ship Ever Given that was stuck in Suez Canal finally freed

SUEZ, Egypt — Salvage teams on Monday set free a colossal container ship that has halted global trade through the Suez Canal, a canal services firm said, bringing an end to a crisis that for nearly a week clogged one of the world’s most vital maritime arteries.

Helped by the peak of high tide, a flotilla of tugboats managed to wrench the bulbous bow of the skyscraper-sized Ever Given from the canal’s sandy bank, where it had been firmly lodged since last Tuesday.

Trump comes through for the troops, offers up Trump Hotel after banishment to parking garage

Following President Biden’s inauguration, 5,000 National Guard troops were moved to a parking garage to rest and sleep. This drew the outrage of several states when they saw their troops having to sleep on the garage floor. The troops have now been allowed back into the Capitol and former President Trump has offered them rooms at the Trump Hotel D.C.
