A California pre-school is closed because two-year-olds won’t wear masks

Exactly five years ago, I was in Hue, Vietnam, the site of the Tet Offensive, an American victory that Walter Cronkite helped turn into a defeat. The Viet Cong eventually took over Hue and, said our guide, with tears in his eyes, “the revenge killings were terrible.” I thought of leftists on a rampage when I read about what the California Department of Social Services did to Foothill Christian Church Preschool in San Diego and to its director, Tiffany McHugh. The Viet Cong would have been proud of what was essentially a bloodless, but nevertheless highly effective, massacre.

Are drive-by shooters victims of ‘systemic racism’?

One member of the Washington state assembly thinks so

Tarra Simmons – crazy person

SEATTLE — From Roger Baldwin of the ACLU to the Supreme Court’s late Ruth Bader Ginsburg, many Americans have tried to address inequality in the nation’s justice system. Now Washington State’s part-time legislators believe they have discovered a new way.

Later in January, Washington’s state assembly will debate House Bill 1692. If passed, the law would significantly reduce the criminal penalties for the drive-by shootings that have become something of a boom industry here in the Northwest, where violent assaults are up 80 percent on five years ago. It would do so by prohibiting state prosecutors from adding the word “aggravated” to any murder charge involving a perpetrator in a moving vehicle.

Is this the end of progressive America?

Multiple fronts of resistance are taking shape

Over the past several decades, the progressive Left has successfully fulfilled Antonio Gramsci’s famed admonition of a “long march through the institutions”. In almost every Western country, its adherents now dominate the education system, media, cultural institutions, and financial behemoths.

But what do they have to show for it?

Sowing Winds and Reaping Whirlwinds

The Left is being consumed by its own hatreds and hubris.

Joe Biden, first as a candidate and then in the White House, from the outset saw the COVID-19 pandemic mainly as a means of leveraging political support, from the manner in which the lockdowns allowed him to run a virtual campaign from his basement to equating Donald Trump with the COVID-19 virus.

Like many on the Left, Biden was overt in such cynicism. So were Hillary Clinton, Gavin Newsom, and Jane Fonda—who claimed that COVID was a “never-let-a-crisis-go-to-waste” moment. Panic and lockdowns could help achieve single-payer health care, or a recalibrated capitalism, or the end of Donald Trump himself.

Biden Bans Conservatives and Christians from the Military

If you “like” a pro-life group on Facebook, the new woke military will purge you.

In Disloyal: How the Military Brass is Betraying Our Country, the David Horowitz Freedom Center had warned that the Countering Extremist Activity Working Group imposed by the Biden administration and headed by Bishop Garrison (pictured above), a racist who constantly accused Republicans of racism for the most frivolous reasons, was preparing to purge conservatives from the military.

Now the purge has arrived.

Radical San Francisco D.A. Chesa Boudin Opposes Mayor‘s Crackdown on Crime

Mom & Dad are terrorists

Radical San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin came out Monday against Mayor London Breed’s new policy to expand police funding and declare a “state of emergency” in the crime- and drug-ravaged Tenderloin district downtown.

Boudin, the son of a convicted Weather Underground militant, was elected in 2019 on a promise to pursue criminal justice reform, like his predecessor, George Gascón, the George Soros-backed prosecutor who is now D.A. in Los Angeles County.

Why Is the Left Suddenly Worried About the End of Democracy?

What is behind recent pessimistic appraisals of democracy’s future, from Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, Brian Williams and other elite intellectuals, media personalities, and politicians on the Left? Some are warning about its possible erosion in 2024. Others predict democracy’s downturn as early 2022, with scary scenarios of “autocracy” and Trump “coups.”

To answer that question, understand first what is not behind these shrill forecasts.

A 36-year-old driver from Coon Rapids, Minnesota, who only went by Tara on the app, reportedly ran over $50 worth of groceries in an angry fit over a sign the couple had in their driveway.

France seeks to ban ultra-right group suspected of attacking “anti-racists”

France’s interior minister is seeking to dissolve an “ultra right” group suspected of attacking anti-racism protesters who entered a campaign rally held by the far-right presidential candidate Éric Zemmour.

The Zouaves, who support Zemmour’s anti-immigration and anti-Islam ideology, are thought to be behind the brawl, which happened eight days ago.

Members from the anti-racial discrimination group SOS Racisme were set upon after they entered the rear of the venue to protest against Zemmour. The group said it had aimed to protest peacefully but five of its members were injured.

Anti-Racists? I think they mean the Antifas who attacked Eric Zemmour.

Prosecutors Make First Move to Break Up Antifa Cell as 11 Activists Charged With Violence

For the first time in the U.S., prosecutors are attempting to break up a network of alleged violent antifa cells.

This week, the San Diego County District Attorney’s office charged 11 alleged antifa members with felony conspiracy and felony assault charges, among other crimes, in a riot case where supporters of former President Donald Trump and random bystanders were beaten in Pacific Beach, California in January. Eight suspects were arraigned this week; they have all pleaded not guilty.

Extinction Rebellions threatens to blow up pipelines, kill politicians

If you’re not familiar with David Takayoshi Suzuki, he’s a Canadian television presenter who focuses on climate change and other environmental issues. In fact, he’s frequently referred to as the “Godfather of the Canadian environmental movement.” He’s found himself in a bit of hot water, however, following a speech he gave at a rally held by the eco-terrorism group Extinction Rebellion.

What’s Behind The Massive Spike In Violence Inside Public Schools Nationwide

This is a dangerous cocktail: missed socialization from lockdowns, falling suspension rates, demonizing police, praising looters, and encouraging activism.

Ask any public high school student: violent in-school fights are on the rise and discipline is on the decline. Just consider one public high school: Madison East in Madison, Wisconsin.

In late September, local media reported a series of “disturbing” cell phone videos depicting vicious fights and beatings occurring in class and on school grounds over the course of several days. Then, several hundred students walked out of school twice in one week protesting the school’s sexual harassment policies.
