‘COVID Karens’ call police on (compliant!) Fitness Connection in Toronto

Fitness facilities in York Region and the City of Toronto are in lockdown mode. But gyms are sort of still open in York Region. You see, while the authorities have allowed gyms like Fitness Connection to operate, the limitations are so severe it almost doesn’t make sense to open the doors in the first place.

As Fitness Connection co-owner Mike Mak told me, a gym can only have 10 people on the floor at one time. It doesn’t matter how large your gym is — whether it be a mega stadium or a boutique — you can only have 10 people.

Saskatchewan government apologizes for photo of same-sex couple on World AIDS Day

The Saskatchewan government is apologizing for using a photo of two men to promote World AIDS Day.

The government posted the picture showing the men standing side by side with their heads touching on social media on Tuesday.

An accompanying message said HIV infections were on the rise in Saskatchewan and encouraged people to get tested.

Social media users condemned the government’s use of a same-sex couple to talk about HIV as perpetuating the myth of AIDS being a “gay disease.”

Adamson BBQ Protest Is White Privilege In Action Say Usual Whiny Race Baiters

A good illustration of the concept of white privilege is how we talk about people who are angry at the status quo.

On Tuesday, a white Toronto restaurant owner named Adam Skelly decided he was angry about Ontario’s lockdown rules. Lots of small business owners were, as it meant a big hit to their financial wellbeing, during a time when many were already struggling.

But, rather than pivoting to a takeout or delivery model, or organizing to lobby the government to change its rules, Skelly decided the law was wrong and he was right, so he would just ignore the rules and open his Etobicoke restaurant for indoor dining anyway.

It’s getting easier to see the real racists nowadays so there’s that.

On Sunday morning, a host of pro-transgender tweeters attacked Monty Python master John Cleese for his defense of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, who has received death threats for her moderate stance on transgender issues. Any dissent from the woke orthodoxy on transgenderism must not be tolerated. Cleese didn’t just savage the insanity of this witch hunt, he had tremendous fun with it.
