For years, Canadians have proved amenable to demands for basic rights, but also to entitlements, for those who identify, variously, as “trans,” “non-binary” or “queer.” These entitlements, even those encroaching on women’s rights, are supported by government and most media. They extend into all our cultural, therapeutic, and social institutions.

The only domain in which we are witnessing a groundswell of citizen resistance is K–12 pedagogy, where Queer Theory—a gendered form of Marxism that rejects the “normal” in sexuality, including  the notion of childhood “innocence”—is systematically imposed on vulnerable minds, with or without parental consent. Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) has become the cynosure of parental disquiet.

Gender ideology is a war on reality.

Political language, George Orwell wrote in his essay “Politics and the English Language,” “is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” That has never been a more apt description than with the sophistry of today’s Left. Their woke lexicon takes the political corruption of language to a whole new level of mendacity and windiness.

Skamski said that “Poilievre does not agree with the message displayed on the T-shirt,” adding that Conservatives are working to build a country where everyone is free to be themselves, “regardless of their sexual orientation.”

London Trans Pride has defended a convicted kidnapper who called for protesters to “punch” gender critical people “in the f—— face.”

Sarah Jane Baker, a trans activist who campaigns on behalf of trans prisoners, addressed attendees at the march on Saturday.

She was released from prison three years ago after serving 30 years for the kidnapping and attempted murder of her stepmother’s brother, and for attempting to kill another prisoner while incarcerated.
