The suspected Philadelphia mass shooter told police that his deadly rampage earlier this week was an attempt to fight the city’s gun violence crisis.

Police say 40-year-old Kimbrady Carriker wore a bulletproof vest and was armed with two ghost guns – an AR-15-style rifle and a handgun – as he stalked an area spanning several blocks in the Kingsessing section of Philadelphia, where he allegedly shot seven people, killing five of them.

Carriker, a cross-dresser obsessed by guns, was taken into custody 10 minutes after police arrived on the scene and was arraigned Wednesday on five counts of murder.

Bud Light sales remained stuck in a downward spiral ahead of the critical Fourth of July holiday in the wake of the Dylan Mulvaney fiasco, according to the latest data.

The nation’s top-selling beer saw sales plunge 27.9% in the week ended June 24 — slightly better than its record-worst 28.5% the previous week, according to data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting.

The number of units sold plummeted 31.3% from the same time last year — worse than the 31.1% decline the previous week.

Rapist Isla Bryson complains of transphobic abuse in male prison

The transgender rapist Isla Bryson has complained of being the victim of transphobic abuse in a male prison.

The double rapist, who was born Adam Graham, was moved to HMP Edinburgh after initially being sent to a women’s jail in January, causing a scandal which was seen as contributing to Nicola Sturgeon’s downfall.

The 31-year-old, in letters sent to a Sunday newspaper from behind bars, complained that the prison was “full of transphobic people” and revealed police had become involved as a result of abuse.
