Trudeau Pledges $1B For Gun Confiscation Plan

When Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called for snap elections a couple of weeks ago, the polls were looking pretty good for his Liberal Party. Since then, however, the fortunes of Trudeau’s party have seen a steady decline in the polls, while the Conservative Party is gaining ground. At the moment, most polling shows Conservatives with a small lead over the Liberals, though not enough to obtain an outright majority. Still, Trudeau’s clearly in trouble, and on Wednesday his party unveiled an election platform chock-full of goodies and giveaways to Canadian voters. For gun owners, however, it’s what the Liberals are promising to take away that’s most concerning.

Could Vaccine Passports Bring Canadian Society To Its Knees?

Chaos is coming. It is not that we can legitimately hold Trudeau responsible for the Covid epoch of history. Rather, what was originally stated in October, 2015 is the following:

Justin Trudeau as Canadian prime minister is certain to usher in a form of societal destruction. We could not name what form this would take–only that the second coming of a Trudeau-family PM was to coincide with nation-transforming damage.

Chinese newspaper claims Michael Spavor photographed ‘Chinese military equipment’

Any strong words Trudeau may mouth about China are to be taken with a very large grain of salt.

Michael Spavor, the Canadian citizen sentenced last month to 11 years in prison in China for espionage, is alleged to have taken photos and videos of military equipment and may have provided them to fellow Canadian Michael Kovrig, a Chinese state-run newspaper reported on Wednesday.

According to a report in the Global Times, a nationalist tabloid owned by the People’s Daily, an unnamed source said Mr. Spavor “was found to have taken photos and videos of Chinese military equipment on multiple occasions and illegally provided some of those photos to people outside China.”

OLIVER: Here are the many failures behind the Liberal decline

It is premature for Erin O’Toole to measure the drapes for 24 Sussex, but he clearly has the all-important momentum. The Liberals are not yet reduced to saving the furniture, but their prospects for an easy stroll to a majority have evaporated.

How the Prime Minister so quickly came to this sorry state from a commanding lead can be attributed to a toxic amalgam of moral failure and incompetence, reinforced by an absence of authenticity and a surfeit of vanity.

Most of the new spending items in the platform have previously been announced by Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on the campaign trail. However, the platform does include some promises that have not been previously mentioned. They include a minimum 15 per cent tax on high earners so that deductions and tax credits can’t reduce their tax obligations below that threshold.

Ivermectin is a wonder drug but not for COVID — and misinformation is causing a shortage

“The use of this medication for COVID is really putting people who are already in a difficult situation in an even worse situation,” said Barry Power of the Canadian Pharmacists Association. “I would really urge people to think twice before trying to access this medication that has been proven to do nothing in the case of COVID.”

Canada must do more to help the Afghans we left behind

The rapid spiral of political collapse, military capitulation, insecurity, terrorist attacks, international exodus and chaos in Afghanistan have been staggering. Unsurprisingly, it comes up daily on the election trail, as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his ministers fend off criticism about Canada’s response, particularly regarding the many Canadians and those with close Canadian connections still trapped in the country.

Braid: Alberta oil revenue stages another fiscal rescue. What would replace it?

Once again, Alberta’s finances are snatched from the pit of hell by oil and gas revenues.
