Ottawa contracts comprise up to 10 per cent of McKinsey Canadian revenue

Global management consulting giant McKinsey and Company says its contracts with the federal government make up as much as 10 per cent of its gross revenue in Canada.

The Canadian revenue figures for McKinsey’s Canadian operations, contained in a U.S. court filing, show how integral federal government contracts are to the New York-based firm, which has offices in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver.

Ex-McKinsey Chief Dominic Barton has had an insidious influence on Canada’s immigration policy which now serves corporate greed exclusively.

Carson Jerema: Trudeau Liberals embrace crony capitalism, but call it ‘innovation’ policy

As soon as the Americans passed the ludicrously named Inflation Reduction Act, the shameless begging in Canada for the the Liberals to bring in their own plan would make the most seasoned con artists wince. Everyone has their hand out, demanding their cut. Carmakers, universities, unions, oil and gas companies, renewable energy companies and anyone who believes lobbying Liberals is preferable to satisfying customers has dollar signs in their eyes.

Mendicino, RCMP will face committee over contracts to firm now tied to China

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino is slated to testify before a parliamentary committee on Monday about federal contracts awarded to a firm that has ties to the Chinese government — a revelation that came amid increased concerns about foreign interference last month.

Last month, reports emerged that Ontario-based Sinclair Technologies had been given 24 contracts since 2009, including work for the Department of Defence, the RCMP and Fisheries and Oceans Canada.

Quebec government wants Amira Elghawaby to resign as federal representative to propagandize Islamist Supremacy, just days into her new job

The Quebec government is calling on the federal government to withdraw its support of Amira Elghawaby, the new representative to combat Islamophobia, only four days after she was first appointed.

This comes a day after her attendance at the sixth commemoration of the deadly mosque attack in Quebec City, honouring the six men who were killed in 2017 when a gunman opened fire just before 8 p.m. in the Islamic Cultural Centre in the Sainte-Foy neighbourhood.

Since her appointment on Thursday, the journalist and human rights activist has been pressured to clarify her position on Quebec’s secularism law.

Liberal ‘Green Energy’ Plan Adding to Inflation: Bank of Canada Paper

The most persistent trend adding to inflation is the transition to “green energy,” which “raises costs,” according to a new Bank of Canada staff discussion paper.

“The 2021–22 Surge in Inflation” says that Canada has undergone the most pronounced surge in inflation in the 2021–2022 fiscal year since the 1970s.

A dollar in 1970 was equivalent to about $7.44 in purchasing power today, according to the Canada Inflation Calculator, based on Statistics Canada consumer price index (CPI) data.

1 year after disrupting Alberta’s border with the U.S., protesters return to Coutts — where wounds remain

As vehicles pulled into a meeting spot on the side of the highway south of Lethbridge, Alta., it was clear that this year’s convoy protest gathering would be different. As people gathered to mark its one-year anniversary, they were greeted by two RCMP vehicles at the side of the road.

There was no missing the police vehicles scattered along the highway and the helicopter in the air, or the message: The event would be permitted, a large-scale disruption would not.

One year ago, Alberta RCMP had sent out a fairly innocuous media advisory warning of heavy congestion and slow-moving traffic near the border crossing at Coutts, Alta.

Trudeau Tells Liberal MPs to ‘Be Ready For Anything’ Because of Minority Status

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau implicitly told Liberal MPs on Jan. 27 to be ready to campaign in an election due to the minority status of their government, in a speech during the party’s caucus retreat that focused on accomplishments and criticized Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre.

“We need you to keep stepping up in your communities,” Trudeau said.

“You’re all working the ground hard to get yourselves nominated once again, because we’re in a minority Parliament, and we need to be ready for anything.”

Justin Trudeau’s MPs are more nervous than ever about the Liberal party

MONTREAL—On Monday, Justin Trudeau’s government will enter a make-or-break parliamentary season. Given the average life of past minority governments, this could well be the last full year of the prime minister’s third term. More than a few Liberals fear it could also be the closing chapter of their party’s tenure in power.

Back in 2015, Trudeau rode to power on a cyclical wave of change. In the next election, the Liberals will be running against the tide. In recent Canadian history, no federal incumbent has ever managed to win a fourth consecutive term. This prime minister has never lost a political battle, but there is a first time for everything.

Albertans must counter climate extremists in Ottawa planning destructive decarbonization

The next provincial election in Alberta is only a few months away and will be the most consequential one to occur in my 70 years of living and prospering in Alberta. It will create a real “existential” binary choice for Albertans; will we choose to resist the deconstruction of our economy and its reliance on the hydrocarbon production sector, or accommodate that by acquiescing to an extreme, implacable national climate and energy agenda of de-carbonization?

Trudeau’s ‘tyranny of the majority’ swipe at Quebec nationalists has election-call written all over it

The 75th anniversary of the Quebec flag was celebrated on Jan. 21 with the unfurling of the biggest-ever fleurdelisé on the esplanade of Montréal’s Place des Arts. A who’s who of local politicians gathered in the cold for one of those displays of unbridled patriotism for which Quebeckers are known.

Can anyone imagine Ontarians getting even slightly verklempt about their flag?

Canadian gov’t spent millions on private consultants to censor documents requested by the public

In the last two years alone, multiple Canadian federal governmental departments spent $39 million hiring contractors to comb through and censor documents requested by the public under the Access to Information Act.

As per Blacklock’s Reporter, information revealed from an Inquiry of Ministry requested by Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) MP Kelly McCauley last June shows the large payouts to multiple firms and individuals.

According to the Inquiry, “Each file is different based on the complexity and the volume of pages.”

Trudeau announces Amira Elghawaby as Canada’s first representative to combat Islamophobia … Was Laith Marouf Unavailable?

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the appointment of a special representative on combating Islamophobia that will advise the federal government on how to better fight discrimination against the Muslim community.

Human rights activist Amira Elghawaby will be responsible for serving “as a champion, advisor, expert and representative to support and enhance” the government’s efforts, the federal government said in a statement.

Good timing after Back to Back Muslim terror attacks in Germany & Spain.

And Iran’s Doomsday Twelver’s now have enough enriched uranium to make nukes!

And let’s not forget the Trudeau government literally hires Muslims who spew the most vile hate like Laith Marouf.
